Gervinho passes medical ha haha that mad me laugh, thanks fir cheering me up mate. Gervinho will nit be coming to Newcastle united. It won't be us. I suppose you saw him go into the training ground and come out having done a medical ha . Any more gervinho story's put them up mate. By Friday he will have picked a team id say. Why would we want to spend all are money in one window, it's just stupid. Money is tight for us and other clubs. I can't see us spending all the £35m in one window. And if mike gives us the extra £15m then thank you, nut I can't see it. It will take time for the team to gel. We all know there will be at least two strikers coming in, but there no point saying we are getting all these players. It would be great. But I like to see the players that have stuck with the club still play, I don't want all these big names coming in, Newcastle united are driven on by the 12th man, us the fans. We have a great bunch of players already, yes we all know we have to strenghin the team, with maybe 4 to 5 new faces and by doing this so must go. Perch, routlage, smith( legend) ranger, guitheri,

Also, it looks like Pardew is alot talking than him yet they are both 5ft 11" unless it's the way the picture has been taken

ITK - Barton, Enrique and Nolan will all leave ( Ashley wants new max pay structure and won't re negotiate at same rate - this is defo true) - money from Carrol won't be reinvested in players -is structured over a few seasons with most paying debt. looking to bring in new players - loans / free transfers and cheaper european players who want a foot hold in EPL - Ba / Nzog won't be coming here as wages too high - looking at bringing on academy players - basically lads our future is as a feeder club doing enough to survive year in and out but not pushing on

It turns out that Kevin is staying in France and agreed terms with PSG yesterday, but that probably says something of his ambition to be satisfied to play in the French League. but of course that s his choice and his right.

The news is that Newcastle will now move for a top International striker, who has a top record in one of Europe s Leagues, and of course the big question is who could that be?

The striker is not Demba Ba or Ivory Coast winger/striker Gervinho although the Sunday Sun is reporting they are still interested in both players but from all the news we would have seen last week, we would have thought we have no chance on Gervinho.

But there is news today that new signing Yohan Cabaye is pleading with his former team -mate to join him at Newcastle.

We are starting to warm to Yohan he seems a great guy and already seems fully committed to the Magpies.

One striker that comes to mind immediately is Bayern Munich s Mario Gomez, who Newcastle have been interested in for more than a couple of years now and he certainly fits the description.

In 289 club games the 6 3 German striker has scored a massive 162 goals, and he also has 19 goals for Germany in 46 appearances.

But with Newcastle losing out on Gameiro and maybe Gervinho, the club have cash burning a hole in their pocket, and we have to hope they will be bringing in at least two top players this summer for big transfer fees.

The fee needed for the striker is said to be in 8 figures, so that s £10M or more, and as might have been expected, other clubs are also interested.

Who do you think this striker could be ?

As you know we have 35m but you don't know is Ashley is giving another 15m so we have 50m to spend but newcastle must qualify for europe next season Or win the Carling or FA CUP

Mario Gomez will not be signing for a number of reasons. Firstly, we would nit bid £20 million for him. Secondly, we wouldn't be able to afford his wages and pay a transfer fee. Thirdly, Munich wouldn't accept a bid for him as they have just let there other prominent striker (Miroslav Klose), so it will take a lot more than £20 million to get him. And finally even if we did have a bid accepted for him, he would never agree personal terms. There have been no reports on any website so I think people need to stop making up nonsense rumours and start using this site properly. (Toon4Life)

No9 shirt will not be filled by any midfielder no matter how good he is it has a history of having the best strikers wearing it And the player must know wot it means to the fans and the club it's self. Berbatov is one person who stands out for me a prove Epl goal scorer and I think the next 3years are going to be the best at the end of his career he as a player knows how speical the no9 shirt is as his hero And our hero big Al wore it.I know it would be unlikely to happen but I think all of us know he could fillthe gap upfront wot we mist so much last season Even know he won't have a big sell on fee we still need some one with experience in it who will bang th goals in and be a new hero to the Newcastle fans pls let's go and get him Ashley form the Gordie massive

Wellllll just before you all start shouting at me, and asking where I got my information from, I don't have any, this is purely speculative. Ok. .so Gameiro signs for PSG, can anyone see a talent such as Erding being happy to be second choice. .therefore it's possible that the bid may be for him. If that's the case, what a signing.

The '8 figure striker' we're after could be one of a number of targets.

We may be able to rule out Gervinho - despite what Cabaye says I think he'll end up at a club that plays European football, though I hope I'm wrong.

There's been some mention of Mario Gomez - I doubt the truth in this given the prolific season he had with Bayern last season, plus I'm sure they paid Stuttgart around 25million quid just two years ago.

Now that Gameiro has signed for PSG, we could be after Moussa Sow (teammate of Gervinho at Lille - had a good season) Jose Rondon at Malaga or Bryan Ruiz at Twente.

Sow had a good season because he had hazard and gervinho supplying him . . he is overrated
