tompkins would be a great signing been watching him lately very good touch and reads game well go and get him pardew

Believable1 Unbelievable5

Makum here - watched Tompkins today - he'd be a great signing for you- he's slow, has a poor first touch and looks very nervous in possession - perfect for you lot !

Agree5 Disagree4

West ham value him at 10m which is completely overrated, should just go for miring and okore

Agree3 Disagree1

Must have went to the same defence school as o'shea !

Agree6 Disagree0

Wouldn't he be perfect for you mackems, considering how you lot play football, get 10 men behind the ball, just hoof it up the field and try and score! Typical mid table-relegation battle manager oneill is. Don't see sunderland attracting any big names, unlike newcastle! Ndiaye, who the hell is he? Typical deluded mackems just can't admit that theyll always be in newcastles shadow!

Agree6 Disagree1

You serious, poster? For a big lad, Tompkins has no 'physical presence' at all. In a relegation dogfight you need fighting dogs, not Fancy Dans with a nice touch and a cool hairstyle.

Agree1 Disagree0

Is that Blunderland that signed Bramble and Ferdinard and the butcher Clattermole

Agree2 Disagree0

You won't be saying that if we get sissoko or graham will you? Adam johnson anybody!
bazinga!
Liono74

Agree0 Disagree3

SAFC 10 men behind the ball?we tore west ham to shreds and you send the commentators and fans asleep with your boring match against Norwich.

I have had the displeasure of watching NUFC at least 6 times this season and watch their highlights(yet to see any highlights to be fair) and NUFC are the worst team for long ball in the league worse than stoke.

You sacked big sam for long ball and yet your worse now under pardew lol.Your the most boring team in the prem.

Agree5 Disagree0

Sunderland park the bus. I am sure you held and most likely still do the stat of having the least amount of shots on goal this season across all the major leagues in Europe. Add to the fact that is with a full squad...You call us boring. SMB.

Agree4 Disagree0

Last I read it said Newcastle banter at the top of this page not mackem chat. you will never be as bigger club as the toon. Once again we shall prove it April 13th. Toon army!

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that safc can, t score for 6 games.....cracking team been above the toon for nearly 3 weeks in the last 70+ weeks and they are top drawer........very forgetfull...

Agree1 Disagree0

Whos got the bigger fan base the better team bigger stadium better players attracts better players better kit play in europe the list is endless... lol is there anything attractive about sunderland?

from TV top 10 players to avoid in the transfer window

Loic Remy

Loic Remy: On the radar
.
Considering Remy's form for Marseille this season, both QPR and Newcastle would be taking a huge gamble if they splurged a reported £11million on the striker. The France international has scored just three times in 19 appearances this term and his record of 12 strikes in 29 Ligue 1 games last year does little to justify his price tag. That Remy was also diagnosed with a heart problem during his Marseille medical in 2010 may also be a consideration, but more pressing is the lack of evidence to suggest the forward could spark an immediate revival for either of the Premier League strugglers.

i know mike ashley likes a gamble but could this be a bad gamble

Believable2 Unbelievable3

If this is all true, got to agree its a hell of a gamble we should move on to another target

Agree1 Disagree2

Remy is a quality striker, a change of league will help and so will 50,000 geordies screaming as well. Form is temporary, class is permanent.

Agree0 Disagree1

Play 4-4-1-1 remy behind cisse, chip in with the odd goal but supply cisse, run the channels and hold the ball up, aswell as bring the best out of ben arfa cabaye and marveux

Agree0 Disagree2

Its a known fact he has a heat murmour but tbh so had a lot of really good footballers that's known worldwide....again nufc do have a very goof medical team that's how the french west ham striker failed our medical but passed theres

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldnt worry about a heart murmor. N****o Kanu had transplant didn't he? he enjoyed a good career.

2 bad teams today and will both be in the melting
pot at the end of the season
Sorry you Cisse fans but he looks absolutely
lost
We need that CB and Striker NOW abd another
Defender if Collo goes

We are in trouble BIG Time

Believable4 Unbelievable2

12 Jan 2013 17:10:54
crap game but at least we got a point might make ashley realise we need to spend some cash soon. well done Debuchy.colo was brill.perch very good. haway the lads

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Just watched the match and both teams were awful possibly the worst match of the season.
Norwich could of played with one defender and we still wouldn't of scored, every pass was aimed at Cisse who needed another striker alongside him.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Shocking we need 3 players NOW
This team are in a battle to survive

Cisse looks a shadow of last season
and won't score the goals we need
in the last 17 games
If we carry we will be relegated fir sure

Agree1 Disagree1

I say we need 5 players, 2 strikers, 1 playmaker MF and 2 CB.

Agree1 Disagree0

Cisse ran his socks off but had no service AGAIN!

What a terrible performance against Norwich.

Norwich were truly terrible, as bad as I have seen in the premier league and what makes me feel disgusted is that we were even
worse.

Cisse was given nothing for 90 minutes.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I just watched extended highlights on sky, yes did not like scoring, that can happen but will not be a problem for us . We had plenty of the ball passed it ok, we will be fine, couple important players to. Return and hopefully a couple of new ones . Lets make sure we finish top half AND TRY AND WIN EUROPA, play strong side now .

Agree0 Disagree3

What's there to disagree with ?

I think that's good point against norwich, its ended another losing run and we can build from that point to get wins against reading and villa. Hopefully we'll have some new signings for those games.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

12 Jan 2013 13:54:20
Got no chance of m'villa said he would only leave for a Manchester club I do think they will sign k.gameiro for 10 mil

Believable2 Unbelievable3

We won't sign gameiro, remy's better and we haven't been linked with gameiro for a while

Agree2 Disagree1

QPR have bid in the region of £7-8m for M'Vila which is being considered most teams have been put off by his off-field antics which is why his price is low.

Agree2 Disagree0

12 Jan 2013 13:24:48
lets be honest ashley knows we needs a striker and cb but imo he, s going to see how cisse does against norwich first and if he does well i think he will gamble and try to get a loan or free striker and stay up....dont think he will make the decision again not to strenghen in summer again but does not want to take a chance incase we go down....

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Club policy to not consider loans into the club. maybe as a last resort.

Agree0 Disagree1

Well after watching Cisse against Norwich Ashley will know he needs another striker

Agree1 Disagree0

Thats what he thinks we need but i think we need at least 2 strikers and 3 defenders

Agree0 Disagree0

I wrote the original post and think we need 2 defenders (cb) 2 strikers remy and graham just think there's 2 seasons in graham can hold up the ball etc and midfielder....loan young ameobi out etc but don't think we will get them lol but honestly think ashley might of learnt his lesson for summer transfers as you never allways win playing hardball.....k

Agree0 Disagree0

News of an agreed offer for Remy makes you look a bit silly, eh?

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jan 2013 13:18:14
Does anyone think Tomkins has shown signs of being a decent CB? Perhaps not recently but he has got many fans in the game and was considered a promising up and comer not a year ago.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

The times I've seen him play he has looked better as a DM than a CB.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jan 2013 13:13:28
I don't usually comment on this page just like reading some of the rumours but I'm really starting to think we are doomed this season can't see us getting 2 new cbs (will be lucky to get 1) still nd to replace Ba & dnt think it will happen, think remy is holding out 4 a better deal, surely now Ashley must see that he MUST INVEST NOW if not we could end up seeing all our gd work last year go out the window (cabaye, tiote, krul, Ben arfa) will all go

Believable3 Unbelievable2

12 Jan 2013 12:38:30
Teams for today?
I don't really want to play gutierrez but we may have to:
433
Krul
Debuchy Williamson Coloccini Santon
Cabaye Anita Perch (If fit/Jonas)
(first 45 mins)
Obertan Cisse Marveaux

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Williamson that's it lost again get rid of him he's sh*te

Agree4 Disagree0

Pardew will play Willo at cb but would prefer perch, then put anita, Jonas and bigiramana

Eds, seeing as we're going to have a Centre Back crisis on our hands soon. Which of these CBs look most likely to join in January? In your opinion.
M'biwa
Sakho
Isimat-Mirin
Tomkins
Douglas
Alderweireld {Ed001's Note - I still expect Tomkins to be the most likely, Pardew really rates him and did ask about him in the summer, but West Ham said they had no interest in a sale.}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

12 Jan 2013 09:23:06
hope sammi does'nt play today...i remember watching shola when he was his age ...flatters to deceive...i recon he needs farmed out to get some experience...geordie tom ...ED any news on the transfer front m8 ? {Ed013's Note - We have no new info mate athough things are going on behind the scenes}

Believable1 Unbelievable4

12 Jan 2013 00:20:32
I hope Colo will give us until the end of the season, he is our captain and he knows he can't just walk away mid season surely.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Depends on his circumstances, if he goes because of personal/family reasons then all the best to him and thanks Colo Des Toon

Agree1 Disagree0

Players have no loyalty as for saying he stood by newcastle when relegated that's because he played rubbish and no one wanted him shone in the championship and back in preiership will be a massive blow if he does go and the club having to rely on what's left

Agree0 Disagree1

Save your bile for Ba who was ALWAYS angling for a move away. As far as I can see Collocini wasn't interested in leaving until some pretty serious personal issues got in the way. Football is football.

Agree1 Disagree0

Some things are more important than football mate... we don't know what's going on in his life
