Since the takeover we seem we are not a proper football club. The change of the stadium. Looking to sell our top players. Carroll Enrique Nolan and I know more will be sold in January. BA and one midfielder and even krul. All them players we were linked with in summer cashley and crew were just playing games nobody was coming inIt's a club to the loyal fans and its a business to mike cashley. Go on the club is in a better shape.

OK, new discussion on Wonga. We're not going to be playing in the Wonga Arena so I'm calm - but I'm still not buying the shirt.

Can someone tell me (and I'm being serious), why Wonga is supposedly agianst Sharia law but Virgin Money and Northern Rock, who are both money lenders who charge interest, are apparently not? Are there any learned Muslims out there who can explain? Cheers.

Its not wonga who's against sharia law its the muslims ie sharia law forbids anything to do with money lending etc ...but saying that is it not against sharia law for muslim players to have beer adds ect on their shirts ? ...geordie tom

Agree0 Disagree0

Sharia law is extreme muslim law. Not all Muslim follow this law.

I believe it isn't the money lending that they are against it is the extortion of those less fortunate. From what I can gather anyway. Meaning that the banks when they lend money ensure that the person is in a position to pay that money back. Obviously there is a distict difference between 14% interest on a bank loan and 2400% on Wonga. A system which targets people who basically can't afford to pay the money back and at those interest rates never will. Thus praying on the desperate.

I beleive that was the objection they were raising anyway

Im a safc fan and it doesnt really matter about wonga, when you look at the bigger picture all banks, building societys etc etc are all loan sharks,as long as your club brings in revenue who gives a s**t.tk73

Sharia Law relates to earning interest on money, but as you say no different top aBank being a sponsor. at the end of the day what is thee issue with Wonga. The government have complained about them yet it was their rules that have allowed these companies to exist, and with regards to them sponsoring a club whats the difference between an Alcohol company being the sponsor. Not once has our shirt made me go out and drink Brown Ale or Banks with Northern Rock

This is England, we have BRITISH law, not some medieval junk that degrades women etc. The unelected muzzle-him council of Britain should worry more about the radicalisation of young muslims who are tempted to blow themselves up or who will be deported to the states rather than Wonga.

What's better an oil company or stupid wonga mmm sgb

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Really not bothered what company sponsor us as long as the pay there money. And the fact is wonga are paying us more than invest in makems (oops sorry I meant Africa) are paying you's so yeah I'd much prefer wonga as at the end o the day sponsorship is all down to the money!
