With the board stating only 2 new signings coming in I can't see many leaving unless big money is offered
Agree0
Disagree0
I can guarantee there will be more than 2 signings, there will be at least 2 top quality players coming in and maybe 2 or 3 squad and youth players coming in.

We won't get Ince
Liverpool, Tottenham and Either Inter or Milan are all wanting him
Believable0
Unbelievable0
He would not get much football at Tottenham, they are jam packed with midfielders and looking for more.
Liverpool could be step backwards, and Coutinho appears to play in Ince's position.
And would he want to go to Italy at such a young age, I am not so sure.
We are the perfect platform for him, I just doubt we will make an offer.
Agree0
Disagree0
He is most likely to go to Italy to follow in his Fathers footsteps
Agree0
Disagree0
Paul Ince learned his trade in England, he was a senior before he went to Italy.
Hence following in his father's footsteps to Italy isn't going to happen soon.
Besides, Italy was one of the best leagues in the world when Ince was there, it is a shadow of what it was then.

Just because someone on here said we should try and get Cavanda doesn't mean we're interested in him.

Ha ha keep em coming

And you really think bony will come and ben arfa, cabaye and cisse will stay? sorry g0rdi3 but your wishful thinking
Agree0
Disagree0
Mackem, you should worry about your own in and outs at 5under1and. Migs and Sess want out.
Agree0
Disagree0
Sorry to ruin your "fun" Mr mackem, but cisse said he wants a new contract, ben arfa is happy here unless PSG come in. Cabaye will stay but is open to a man u move, just like mignolet wants arsenal move if they come in. Anyway sessegnon wants to leave 5under1and! Not surprised as the stadium of rubbish is a dump, let alone sunderland.
Agree0

Sunderland in talks with Cavanda.
Pratdew on holiday?
If Cisse learns what the offside rule is all about he may turn out to be a great striker.
Agree0

As for the first comment.
8 out 6 in. Ready for CL?
Agree0
Disagree0
Actually
Mignolet has said that it wasn't his agent that made up the tosh about him wanting out, Mignolet said he wants to respect his contract
Sess leaving is just paper talk, he has just recently moved his family over here and has squashed reports linking him away
Agree0
Disagree0
We won't get £3m for Obama or £2.5m for Jonas, IMO and why spend big bucks on an RB when Santon, Mapou and Raylor can do a job there?
Agree0
Disagree0
"Stadium of rubbish is a dump", well, what an educated bit of banter, sounds like something a 5 year old would say. but we come to expect it.
Agree0
Disagree0
Most of that team was the team that got trashed 3-0 by sunderland we need better players than that XI

Some players I think we should look at who have potential:
Juan Fernando Quintero-Recently moved to Genoa so will not be able to get him this transfer window, but maybe either next season or the season after. He's a flair player, playmaker and has very good technique, the type of player we need.
Luis Pedro Cavanda-Being looked at a number of clubs. A good right back who ticks most boxes, can defend well, attack well. He'd be good cover for debuchy as simpson's leaving.
Will Hughes-I think he's got good potential but wouldn't really be willing to pay as much as 10m.
Tom Ince-I think we have a good chance of getting him and I reckon he's the type of player pardew wants. He's got great skill, technique and can cross quite well.
Georginio Wijnaldum-great potential. Currently playing in dutch U21, and been playing well. A great playmaker that can tuck behind the striker.
Jurgen Locadia-PSV striker, 19 years old 6'3. Good aerial threat and very good potential.

Unbelievable0
Also Fabian Castillo (colombian) who's a very quick winger and only like 18, 19
Agree0
Disagree0
Wijnaldum would be the one to get.
Big big future for that guy.
We could get a few years out of him before he signs for a Barca or Bayern.

I think Douglas will be our first signing of the summer. Also with simpson leaving we need a new right back for cover for debuchy. I'd say we go for Lazio's Luis Pedro Cavanda. Ed, do you know how much Cavanda would cost? {Ed001's Note - not a clue sorry.}

Hi lads cavanda on his way to sunderland fee agread.

About 2.5m as Lazio are afraid the courts will cancel his contract (currently in dispute). Lokks like he's going to Sunderland according to the media.

maybe pardew should of waited till we signed some players before holidays? liverpool seem to be snapping them up them strikers, let's get PEA quick, and I still think Rhodes as back up, seems to find the net enough
Believable0

PAE is wanting CL or Europa
Dortmund, Milan, Napoli, Anzhi, Chelsea, Arsenal and spurs are all wanting his signature
Think we need to accept he won't move to us, maybe go for Remy

Toivenen is available for £4m, do you reckon he is worth it or better off putting the money towards a different striker?
Believable0
Unbelievable0
No, he's slow and we've had too much of slow strikers that have no flare. We need a jermain defoe type striker.

We have been Linked to quality players, but I don't see them coming to our club this summer.
Bojan Krick, Pierre Emmerick Aubemeyang, Bony, Ince, Valbuena, Sakho.
I wish we were able to sign all of them, Then we would have a top ten team for sure, if only Ashley could show a bit more ambition.
iToon.

Yes, would be nice for Ashley to show more ambition, but doubt those players are wanting to move to us

Maybe we should go for this bloke called Cavanda, right back, cover for debuchy as simpson's leaving, plus he's quite young. would probs cost around 3-6m
Believable0

I don't rate Debuchy, he will get ahead of him, had a great season at Lazio

2011 we lose Carroll Nolan Barton and Smith in the January,
2013 we lose Harper Simpson, Williamson will leave, possinly Perch, Newton, Dumment, Gosling and Shola.
So that will leave us Steven Taylor, Elliot, Bigi, Sammy, Ryan Taylor, Tavernier and Campbell as our only english players.
We need at least 3 or 4 english players.
We should buy Hughes (young and will get sell on value), Ince/Redmond (we need better wingers and can only afford one), Austin/Hooper (we need 2 strikers but I think we should only buy one), possibly Sinclair/Townsend and Trippier (replacement from Simpson)
Believable0
Unbelievable0
I thought Elliott was Irish?
Agree0
Disagree0
Right, I really wouldn't count harper, williamson, simpson, newton, dummett, gosling and shola as "loses". it is more of a clearout of all the crap we've got. but I agree with you we do need a few more english players, but there's a premium and we need to make sure we're getting good players for good money, for example, I think we should buy will hughes, but if he cost 10m would it be worth the risk? Derby are a mid table club but i'd only be willing to pay max 5-7m if I was ashley.
Sinclair or townsend or ince would be decent signings, because we need a proper left winger who's got a decent shot and and a decent cross and decent skill. However I disagree with you that we should buy english strikers in hooper and austin, simply because we need better quality than them like bony, aubameyang etc.
Agree0
Disagree0
Hughes is being priced at around £10m and I can't see Ash laying out that for him no matter how hot his prospects. Ince upwards of £7m, that may happen but unlikely as for Redmond that's the most likely imo.

Did you see the young English rubbish the other night? Stick to signing foreigners!

Aimar? nah, Keegan wanted him Ashley didn't want high wages for an old player. That's the same Keegan who also wanted us to sign Henry.
