When nufc make it into Europe surly this as well as strong financial results will make nufc a very attractive club to own should mike Ashley be still willing to sell?

There will probably about 100 disagrees on this comment, but I think Lovenkrands should be offered a new deal and Leon Best should leave. Peter would be a useful squad player and never will complain about not bein in the team, he would also be handy to call upon for the UCL or Europa games as a substitute. On the other hand, Best is likely to moan when not in the team, and his technical ability is not good enough for a top 6 EPL side. Best is not fast or a prolific finisher and his wages are about the 15th best at the club. What do you think guys?

Believable5 Unbelievable5

Lovenkrands??? he is about 46 now, keep Best and Shola as back up to Ba and Cisse

Agree4 Disagree3

Lovenkrands is out of contract so he should and will go (thankfully) and Best needs to be sold, nowhere near good enough for top 8 never mind top 6/5/4, keep Shola, good squad player, useful when played for 20-25mins and defo wont moan about not playing, we could aslo do with a decent young ST as a second back up, would love to see Guidetti from city come in but doubt he would come here without assurances of first team football, hell of a player tho, lit up the Eredivisie this year.

One more point (sorry to waffle on) i reckon as things stand were probs only 3 signings away from a side capable of challenging the top 4 regularly, for me those would be CB, RB (expecting simmo to go) and LW plus some really good quality youth as backup (ST, CAM, CB, LB) this providing we hang onto our best players (Tiote, Ba, Krul, Cisse, HBA) opinions folks??

Agree4 Disagree0

Best is far better than lovenkrands and has the goals to prove it

Agree1 Disagree3

Don't forget about marveux he looked v promising and could add yet another dimension to our squad when fit

Agree4 Disagree0

Dont forget vuckic and Abeid who i think will get better and better.

Would only want him to step aside for man city mega rich type who will give pards a £150m kitty for the summer.

not likely to happen tho.

Agree1 Disagree3

Ive got to appologise to mike I think he has done a great job I couldnt see the wood for the trees

Agree4 Disagree1

A lot of top russian bankers looking to buy prem clubs something on the tv the other day

Agree1 Disagree2

Would we have to play in red

Agree1 Disagree2

To be honest, I'd rather get too the top by the way we are the moment, than spending millions on players. yes it may take longer, but we would've done It the proper way.

Agree3 Disagree0

As soon as people know we have money they'll charge us double for playes. Let's keep to what we're doing, after all, if something's good in life why change it?

i'm a spurs fan and i just wanted to say you've been terrific this season. I've also found the media's approach to newc a little patronising, i mean i've always thought of newcastle as a massive, top 6 club. However, just wanted to ask that now the media is talking about you as genuine top 4 contenders (which you are) you are worried the pressure might tell, as it did with us earlier this season when we were the media darlings? Also was wandering whether if you don't get champs league one or two will leave, and how ambitious will you be in the summer if you do qualify? Good luck for the rest of the season.

Thanks. I reckon 2 defenders for sure and maybe a big surprise signing ,also think Ba or Tiote may go sadly. Would like to see Pieters come in not sure about Douglas seems a bit too tempremental to me and don't wanna see the good vibe upset that we now have. Would love to see someone like Hiolett and Moses join us too. Good luck for the rest of the season hope you get a good successor to Arry too.

Agree0 Disagree0

Read earlier that Douglas, if he does come it will be the latter end of August when he gets Dutch citizenship.

Agree1 Disagree0

Would rather see us go for Vertonghen, watched him in the flesh for the first time when Ajax played PSV and he was head and shoulders above anyone on the pitch, him and colo at the heart of our defence would be nothing short of immense, Pieters looked OK but didnt stand out, Eriksen was awesome aswel, he would be a nice replacement for Guthrie.....I reckon if we get top 4 we could well see 4 new first team faces and a big influx of youth, that should atleast have us top 4 again next season

I was wondering why we don't scout in asia,north and south america because there are very good player there from the age of 16+. {Ed001's Note - work permit issues are usually why clubs look at European players.}

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Also, don't think we can get players from south america till they are 18.

our scouting has only just improved in last few years, i'm sure there are plans to widen the net. only time will tell.

Agree2 Disagree0

Why can we buy the player that are over 18 and loan there out in holland, spain or somewhere and then bring them back like what chelsea did with alex and send him to psv on loan and then bring him back.
