Ashley would need 50.1% of shares under uefa rules and the plus both rangers and nufc are not in same competitions, and if rangers go up . the chances of nufc and rangers playing in same competition is never going to happen as nufc will never qualify for champions league, but rangers have a good chance and can loan players from nufc without paying prem wages, so all ashley wants is nufc to survive at best and get rangers in champs league

asifyouknow

{Ed007's Note - Mike Ashley, the club currently trading as Rangers and the SFA ALL agreed that MA could NOT be allowed to own more than 10% of the Glasgow team or he wouldn't have been able to invest at all and get his hands on the lucrative retail and naming rights. Until he sells Newcastle he can't own more than 10%the club currently trading as Rangers, it's nothing to do with UEFA and it's non-negotiable.
All Ashley is doing by upping his shareholding to 9% is consolidating his position, protecting his interests and keeping his vice like grip on the retail (money making) side. He makes more in one year from Newcastle's TV revenue alone than he would for 5/6 CL campaigns, plus the millions needed spent on Murray Park, Ibrox, player and staff recruitment, long-term he would NEVER make money out if he bankrolled it, no matter how many CL campaigns they qualified for.
Newcastle fans are being sucked in by the BS the Scottish press fire out day in day out about billionaires wanting to invest in the club currently operating as Rangers, Ashley is only the latest in a long line of would be suitors. Why would he spend millions of pounds on something where he already controls the only real profitable part of the club? he would NEVER make money out of it if he bankrolled
There are still legal battles on the horizon over who actually owns the club.}

1.) Well said Ed it is clear for all to see and stop all the speculation

{Ed007's Note - I'm not just a pretty face you know :)

2.) Ed you should intervene more often. The voice of reason, intelligence and logic.

{Ed001's Note - hahaha, I can so tell you don't know 007 well!}

3.) Desree Tie your Kangaroo down man

Weekend nearly here get the Barbie on

No interference from NUFC

4.) Ed strange Ashley has fingers in pies all over & like when he bought Newcastle United yet sounded John Hall out before committing to buy the club.

With Rangers It's possible there is more between the lines that meets the eye at the moment

Sayings just when you thought it was safe to gi in the water comes to mind.

{Ed007's Note - He can pull together with other shareholders to give them, as a group, control but until he sells Newcastle he can't break that 10% ceiling with his personal shareholding. Ashley's dealings in Glasgow are for his Sports Direct business, he's here as the Sporst Direct owner it really doesn't affect NUFC, Ashley has said himself he has no interest in selling Newcastle just now.}

5.) Had a barbie last night mate.

6.) Was she any good des ?

7.) Ed Most people know the rules and it's good that should draw attention to them for those people who are not too sure

Ashley is now twisting and turning trying to assert power within Rangers football club

The best thing other fans are against Ashley and anything you stands for

The situation needs monitoring closely and the powers that can do that let's hope they work within their jurisdiction and hound this man out of football

8.) Should read Ed

The best thing Rangers fans are against Ashley and anything HE stands for

9.) I think there are worse owners the FA should focus on. Whilst the football is rubbish you can't argue that he is running the business (not the team) sensibly.

10.) Geez Des for who Where are the accounts
Where has incime from TV etc gone

You just made a statement straight out of Ashleys office

If you believe that change teams

11.) Deseree, Running the business sensibly It is like him sailing into the eye of the storm and we all know what will happen then.

Sensibl to be in bottom 3 and one of the favourites for relegation and 85% of fans calling for Pardews head along with the coaches is no where near sensible.

12.) Woh lads all I was saying is in comparison to the nutcases in charge of leeds, blackburn, cardiff etc the FA had other owners they would target. Its not like ashley is doing anything illegal or even dodgy. As far as the FA are concerned he would be a good example for other owners. as an example QPR are in the same position have arguably a better manager and have spent far more money on players. Not defending ashley just arguing a rather pointless rant that the FA should intervene.

13.) Des your opinion meets Pardews and Ashleys but it's your opinion so good on ya.

This Oaf is as bad if not worse that the people you mention.

How he has not been done by trades descrition is beyond me. Sensible yes to himself and only himself and a proven liar.

Getting rid of and severing ties with Legends KK Shearer and sacking CH Sensible don't think so. Employing Pardew don't think so.

As for Dodgy where is the 70m+
You will not see it becasue the accounts are yet to be seen
Coincidentally Aqustions in Tesco Debenhams in Rangers are not to far away from this amount.

Sensible do me a favor

14.) Where is the post I sent earlier re 'the club trading as Rangers'?
Why have you not put it on Ed 007?

{Ed001's Note - he didn't deal with it, now stop whining.}

15.) Art if Ashley has hidden 70m the quickest way you can get him out the club is to tip off the inland revenue and not the FA.

16.) There are ways and there are ways. Time will tell. as for the IR it is their job not ours.

If it was not for the blind linesman and Krul a 4-1 score would be best bet

asifyouknow

1.) It was 2 2 live with it

2.) Krull did his job, cisse did his, amobi did his, obertan did his. That still leaves 8 or 9 players who did nowt. Time for manager, coaches and players to start stepping up. If pardew wants respect then do something brave instead of insisting on a formation that does not win games.

Colback has been used as a LB before by safc, but never his strongest position and reason he never signed new contract for safc, he is a tidy player and will give his all as he used to playing for teams involved in relegation battles, if selling cabaye is the reason for nufc demise, and getting rid of pardew is the answer, who will be the fans choice to replace him, hoddle cockney, moyes scottish boring style of football, pulis considering how you treat Big Sam , so maybe Lee clark or Steve Bruce of the toon, I doubt Shearer would fancy another shot, and please don't say king kev, mike ashley might let you go down and take his loan from tv money at end of season, and then you could be left in admin and get deducted 10 points at least, then see if anyone wants to buy you, a ideal place for a city centre development your ground would become and at a good price, plus ashley would be able to relocate the club name he still owned and relocate to Glasgow Rangers and gain entry to english football league, this is all just a domesday scenario, but its not impossible
