Positive day today. Past issues not going to be fixed straight away, but. New management team, New styles, 3 good signings, perhaps one more. Southampton were the better team and we matched them today. Stats say that it takes a new manager 18 months to bed in . let's be positive

Let's McLaren saw what we saw and addtesses tje CB sutuation with a quality strong CB who cal also head a ball

Collo & Mdemba for first game together did OK and encouraging with another defender coming in it can only get better
First not so good day for Janmatt who os normally sound
A bit of tinkering before Swans who like Southampton have come pn leaps and bounds

Some hard work on the training ground this week with an eye on the 2/3 players we need cam make it more positive than in recent seasons.

Well said fair mag, I'm looking forward to the new season . If people stay fit, I think a few people are going to be surprised!

Totally agree. Have been happy to give pardew my backing as I think the manager merry go round is insane and consistency is key . But it's only key if you've got something to offer! We should be beating teams like crystal palace at home, no question! Watch this space, Ashley won't be happy after £30 mil spent this season . .

I can see no reason not to b optimistic, lots of quality new players, cashley seems ready to spend - at the end if last season I was worried we would be able to attract any decent quality and pardew has proved in the past that he can steer a team to a good finish! Agree we need a cb and a proven goal scorer would be welcome, but we are a lot better off than we were in May
