I'm a taxi driver from Manchester I had Adam johnson in my cab he said his home sick. And wants to go back to the northeast. But prefers Newcastle coz he reckons pardew is a top manager. And the will b playing in Europe.

Home sick hes only 3 hours down the road, plus it wouldnt be just cos of Pardew it might help the fact he's a newcastle supporter, would love to have him here but too expensive

Anyone else seen the strootman to man united rumours, at 14 mill we could afford him and with man u signing kagawa and modric its unlikely they will actually sign him. Would be a good shout for us

Can't see Man Utd paying £40m for Modric after an average season from him.. or, since they're linked with Tiote, spend £25m on him if they can get Strootman for around £10m less and chance of signing Kovacic on free too.. and as far as us going for Strootman, £14m is too rich a figure without selling likes of Tiote, and even at that, we can't offer CL football and wages like other clubs linked with him
