Newcastle using there links with rangers to bring Dean shiels and andy little that's way I'm hearing north of the border. Geordie scot
Why are rangers letting players leave, when they cannot sign anybody, worst rumour eva!!!!
I support Rangers too, and Wallace and Templeton are the only Premier League class, the rest are championship ie Shiels, Little, McCulloch or less Cribari, Perry
Aye spl not epl be honest non would get a decent championship club more likely league one
Doncaster fan here, Dean Shiels played at rovers for a couple of years and I never thought much of him. Definitely not premiership material.

AC milan tracking santon
I really hope not we carnt seem to sign anyway and to lose a decent player would be a kick in the cuts
Not entirely true - Berlusconi said they were monitoring over 100 promising youngsters as most top club would and that Santon was ONE of them.
Geordiesteve
Tracking and monitoring basically mean the same thing what concerns me more is that someone believes a word Mr Berlusconi says.
Santon came from inter, so that isn't happening
Do you know how many European cups A.C Milan have won under Berlusconi?
Why would he say he is interested in Santon if he isn't... Seriously what would the logic be?

Remy due in to nufc wednesday, also Hangeland due before weekend and straight into the team
No they won't.
I am getting fed up of people putting ludicrous rumours on here. I for one would love remy to come to Newcastle, but the amount of times I have heard he will be having a medical or he is coming in on a private jet is a joke. I think if he were coming we would of at least seen a bid made by Newcastle. Hangeland is a great player and I am surprised a big club have not bought him in the past but I think his age will put us of buying him with the current philosophy with transfers so I would say ignore that as well and expect a relatively unknown young cb to come in. After all it has worked with a number of players so far, however I hope I am 100% wrong and you can tell me I told you so by the end of the week
Tino Asprilla on Thursday, Philipe Albert on Friday, Alan Shearer on Saturday and by Sunday Jackie Milburn
Craig David
Hardly when it is reported we haven't even put a bid for Remy in yet.
If you're fed up of silly transfer rumours you're coming to the wrong site, mate.
If they really wanted Remy the bid would have already been put in. How much of a desperate state do we have to be in before fat man gets the hint that we need players sooner rather than later. So if the scouts only scout in the windows what does he pay them for.Should be ready to pounce as soon as a window becomes active.
I'm just clinging to the fact that when we signed cisse it hadn't even been rumoured or anything, it was a complete surprise. That showed that AP and crew can keep things under wraps, so why this year would it be different. Maybe remy is a smoke screen, possibly for Ronaldo, who wants to come back to England and is best mates with James Perch.
Think I agree with you there mate.
There's no way we are gonna let slip who wer after. It'll just get Harry 'ill have everyone' Redknapp hiking the price up.

anybody know what stage this remy deal is at or is it more crap fed to us in the dark
According to le equipe hes more interesting in going to germany
Yes. He ain't coming since Harry tapped him up - why is he allowed to say all these things about every player and get away with it ?
According to a French newspaper, remy has his heart set on newcastle, we should be in for him.
Lequipe did also say that he was in Newcastle yesterday for a medical. don't believe any source now until i see them holding a shirt with my own eyes. still love this site though just for the craic. Where is the Egg Man??
From a close source to the club newcastle will tie up a deal for st eitienne striker Pierre-emerick aubameyang by the beginning of next week as remy deal collapsed due to player preferring to play his trade in Germany also newcastle will complete the signing of modibo maiga of west ham for 5.5 million pound by the end of this window.
Newcastle ins- Pierre emerick aubameyang, modibo maiga and mirin. Newcastle outs- danny Simpson-west ham mehdi abeid-loan to France

not sure how true this is but i got told that pardew offered to resign as ashley wants to sell Ben Arfa for £17 million.
Remy is in Morocco with the Marseille squad til Thursday
The sales true but no offer to resign from pardew as he knows it would be accepted
They woudl justify not spending the money on players by giving new contracts to Williamson, Simpson, Jonas and the rest of the underperforming players we have.

Anyone else think we should be trying to sign martin olsson, i was always a fan of him when he was in the premiership, hes only 24 can play both sides of the defence and is good forward and defensively would be available for around 3-4 mil, personally feel this would be a great squad building signing
I think he would be a great signing if we sold simpson, i think him a hoilett were highlights for blackburn last year. If we had santon who can play either side debuchy right and olsson left i think it would be sufficient.

Simpson set to sign a new deal? I would like him as our back-ip Rb, as he has more experience than tavenier and ferguson
Not seen anything new about him signing a new deal, not sure if the contract is still on the table, he'd be a good backup to Debuchy but we do still have Ryan Taylor who's on a long term contract.
Yeah but Ryan Taylor's out for the rest of the season

There are rumours that Remy wants to join Newcastle ahead of any other club, but there are also rumours we have watched Bafetimbi Gomis, Florian Thauvin and Massadio Haidara. Any news as to what Llambias and the gang are doing in france and if any deals are close to being completed??
Looks like the club have options in case there 1st choice turns us down?
If we have put together a package for Remy and he was happy with it then he would have agreed to sign for us by now.
Sounds like Ashley has probably put together an insulting package and Remy is waiting around for better offers.
Or we might have just not made an offer yet

Reports from France saying Loic Remy has hid heart set on Newcastlen. Apparently he rejected qpr when they offered wright Philips and a massive amount of wages. I reckon we should be able to get him, he's a top class player, fast, strong, and clinical, id say he's got more class than ba. Remy can actually control the ball and dance through defences. I wouldn't say aubameyang at the mo, he's been good this season and that's it, remy has been outstanding his whole career.
His goals to games ratio at every club has been 1 in 3 games. I wouldnt say thats outsanding
1 in 3 is good, only the very best get close to 1 in 2. Anyway we will not get him, Debuchy said he had his heart set on a move in the summer and it did not happen. I know Lille moved the goalposts at the last minute but with every place in the EPL worth £500k if we had pushed the bought out then he could have helped us stay in the top 5 meaning we would be better off in the long run where as now we are in danger of not being in the EPL at all. Short sighted penny pinching by the board.
It is also reported in France that Olympique Marseillais have turned down a loan + player offer from Inter Milan for Remy.
IrishToon
Outstanding could include assist etc if he gets us about 15-16 goals and 10-15 assists then thats outstanding
Not really sold on Remy to be honest. I also think a lot of fans are getting their hopes up when his goal scoring record really isn't that great. I have watched Remy a lot and he's no Demba Ba. He is a completely different type of player. Skillful player, but don't expect the 2nd coming of Alan Shearer in terms of goals.
I think gone are the days where you had a player who will score you 20 or 30 goals a season. i agree if the guys a good team player who can create a few goals and knock in 15 a season he will be good for the toon
We don't want anyone similar to demba ba. We want someone who is going to bring the best out of cisse as he will be our main striker. Cisse, remy and Ben Arfa as a front three would be awesome!
Yes but he has the ability to link up well with the players we have
For me he's a class above Gomis so the faster we bring him in the less talk of other targets there are
08 Jan 2013 07:20:34
heard we are looking at glenn murray from crytal palace possible cash plus player, think its sam ameobi who they see as a replacement for zaha
He is just another finisher like cisse would be a pointless signing, great finisher who can get lots of goals but that is not what we are looking for really
