Another injury to a defender. Colo has withdrawn for the Argentina squad with a injury. Ashley gamble hasn't paid off this time. We were lucky with injuries last season. Not for one second do I think he cares, staying in the premier league is his only concern.

Why are people dis-agreeing. It's true. Take the blinkers off.

Agree0 Disagree2

They're disagreeing cause u're saying we were lucky with injuries last season. (Partly) Even Donaldson was on the bench two times last season due to injures... Simmo and Perch at CB? Perch and Guthrie at CM? Need i go on?

Agree1 Disagree0

In YOUR opinion it's true. Most of us are holding opinion till at least the END of the season, I bet you thought he was great at the end of the season now, 3 games in, it's all doom and gloom, doilhams like you make me embarassed to be a Geordie.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe it's because Colo has already come out and said that he's confident that he will make the Everton game and that you're making a mountain out of a molehill.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doilhams? It's clowns like you that make me embarrassed to be a geordie. Hanging on to Ashleys coats tails like a toddler. At no point did I mention doom and gloom simple stating the fact that we didn't strengthen the squad in the areas we needed to is starting to bite us. Stick your head in the sand if you want. In a poll in the Journal 90% of people stated that they were unhappy with the Transfer dealings. I guess Doilham, you where in the 10% pile.

Agree0 Disagree1

Deluded fans still think we have a chance of making the top 4/5 instead of middle table..
Only the reality will convince these fans that Ashley is noy interested in competing for silverware unless it can be done on the very cheap

In the meantime we will just watch the injuries mount up..

Agree0 Disagree1

Where were you when we needed 278m to keep the club afloat?

Agree0 Disagree0

278m you are deluded...If the club had been put on the market openly and proffessionally and not under the table to make Hall a fortune we might have adifferent owner who believes in NUFC apart from that Ashley paid 140m peanuts in this days marhet
The fact the club had debis and he chose to clear then instead of working with the banks etc which all the big clubs do is his choice and with the enourmous income in the last 2 seasons and more to come from tv increase we could be in almost exactly the same position finacially we are now with owners to take this club forward not fill their own pockets like Ashley is doing.

Check your facts befor spouting your creap.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree with last post, the Fat man is in it for financial gain now and NOT to take the club forward. Pardew saying " we want to compete with the top 4" made me laugh, What with Puppet? A weaker squad than last season?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said mate the puppet is just a YES man i cant wait for fatty 2 sell up get someone in that likes NUFC

Here's a couple of Free signings we should look at:

Royston Drenthe, I know he's a tit but he is a talented game changing one. And he's an actual left footed left winger would compliment Arfa on right

Carlos Sánchez 'the rock', actualy been compared to Tiote. Hard arse, no prisoners DM who has good long ball passing and vision

Sebastian Boenisch, LB cover (move Santon to RB)

All are a decent age, Give them all 1 year contracts with options to extend.

I know we need a striker but as Drogbas contract is still intact in China i don't know of any free strikers worth mentioning

Believable11 Unbelievable2

The last player Boenisch I can see joining, good age and no fee so it doesn't matter if he is a hit or miss

Agree0 Disagree0

If these are as good as u say then they wouldnt be free agents!

Agree1 Disagree0

Could be like this if we sign thm:

Ben Arfa/Drenthe

Simpson/Boenisch

Tiote/Sanchez

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not saying they are good. But we are short of players and they can be signed. Boenisch was great for poland but got his contract pulled from his last club for being lazy in the last game he played, he's also failed in a trial with stoke. Sanchez is good, but his hard tackling gets him booked often. Drenthe is a star, but he has fell out with every manager he's ever played for.....they will fill gaps and give options now we've failed to expand the squad with premier ready players that's what i'm saying. give them 1year contracts and see how they do
