bruce and quinn been alerted by erdinc refusing to join newcastle needs club with ambition and think a deal in the region of 8.5mill will get him also he would be on half the wages we would need to pay for defoe

Believable8 Unbelievable27

Happy to finish 1 point above two promoted teams after 3 years in the PL yeah I'm sure he might find that ambitous.

From a reliable source: Mevlut erdinc has turned down newcastle even though newcastle had a 7.5 mil bid accepted. He wants to play in europe so galatasary will be his destination he is turkish as well, moussa sow is now our top target

Ed, any idea whats goin on with erding i've read we will find out if a bid is accepted tomorrow and now seen he wants to stay and fight for his place at psg. Also any idea with nzogbia seems to be dragging on. thanks {Ed028's Note - Nothing on Erding, N'zogbia appears to be holding out for a 'dream move'}

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Ed what is n'zogbia's dream move? you mean its not newcastle?

{Ed020's Note - N'Zogbia's dream move is to whoever pays him the most, sad but true and it doesn't look like Newcastle are prepared to pay his rediculous wage demands}

We will make vagner love our new target if erdinc bid fails very reliable source seen it hear first

Believable18 Unbelievable6

I've been wondering who would be the first to mention his name. Would love to see him in a toon shirt however, i think he may want high wages... Would be awesome though

Agree0 Disagree0

We've been linked with Vagner Love a lot of the past few years. Most summers his name crops up. Would love to see him at Newcastle. Just the type of player we need.

newcastle to sign bassong for5 million and bently for 7 by the weekend news from a riliable source in london

Believable8 Unbelievable16

Bently not worth 7m

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we sign bentley already turned him away because of wages and attitude

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah your source must be harry rednapp his way of saying politely he wants rid of them.he needs to reduce his wage bill so he can bid for rossi

Agree0 Disagree0

Bassong is decent, but wht pay 7 million for Bentley when we have Barton.

sell jose enrique did no one see ferguson last year, he will be quality? and for a new striker? i doubt anyone big, the biggest we would get is drogba but besides that i think we will get someone abroad with slight talent, nothing big.

Believable8 Unbelievable5

Get out of here no chance in Drogba wish people would just forget this the word DELUDED springs to mind do our club a favour and stop these nonsense rumours Ashley is NOT going to pay a player £100k pw Ashley is NOT going to be willing to sign 30+ year olds.

these players will NOT be coming to newcastle.
nzogbia
gervhinio
erdinc
Drogba
Berbatov
because they all require champions leauge football.

Believable11 Unbelievable6

Lies, Mevlut Erdinc and PSG will decide tommorow if they will accept the 7m bid from Newcastle.

Agree0 Disagree0

Neither N'Zogbia or Erding require CL football, I'm sure they would like it (who wouldn't) but never been mentioned as a necessity.

ToonBarmy

Agree0 Disagree0

N, Zogbia requires CL Football?

Agree0 Disagree0

N'Zogbia will be a Nufc player by the time the Arsenal game comes around. (WelshToon)

Agree0 Disagree0

Why tho? when he could play for liverpool or arsenal he will just be playing for mid table if he signs for us sunderland or villa, im not biased like you lot are he wont be coming to newcastle thats that.

jermain defoe will be a nufc or a safc player by august. 9million pound would be accepted but wages could be a stumbling block for nufc.

Believable8 Unbelievable5

I dont think he is worth 9 mil he cant get a game for totenham

Agree0 Disagree0

If that's true I hope it's to SAFC. Defoe is rubbish. Along with Crouch Spurs have the most over rated pair of strikers in the Prem. Thankfully FMA wouldn't pay £9M for a player of that age so we should be ok.

I was looking at Newcastle United on wiki and I looked up Daniel Sturridge and it showed that Newcastle was his team and his number was 23

Three reasons that it makes nom sense:

1. We ended or interest in him because of the asking price of 20m

2. It wasn't even the 1st of July yet

3. And why would Newcastle give him the number 23 shirt when they were looking for him as a new number 9

I looked up Tranquillo Barnetta and it said he has left to go too England for Newcastle

Please, never thrust wiki for information on Newcastle transfer targets because nothing is true

Comment welcome.

05 Jul 2011 13:53:51
I agree we don't want to sign players who don't really want to join us (poss erding) but equally making low offers can't inspire confidence in the player that we really want them either. After weeks of alledgely showing interest we must have gained some indications as to whether the player would be keen to join us or not and if not move swiftly onto another target. This might explain why we seem to be losing out on our striking targets i.e Gamero, Gervinho and Erding. We need to be finding a balance between getting a good deal but making the player feel he has a worth to us.

We should try and get Lennon. He's quick, has good crosses and would be a great replacement for Joey Barton.Ridgewell would be a good replacement for Jose Enrique.

Lennon is too good for us he is getting play every game at spurs wont leave for us

Who ll be the between the sticks this season?...

Pardew when asked if he would keep all three said Probably not, and that s a situation we have to be very careful of. They have all got a genuine chance to be No.1, so when you suddenly become No.3 that s a major issue, and that will be a major issue for one of them. That s something we will have to deal with. In my mind and hand on heart, I can say this.. I haven t really got focused on one particularly goalie"

Harps was great for me last season. He is brilliant in the changing room, he is brilliant in and around it, he knows Newcastle inside-out, he knows how it ticks. He will be important to us this year and he wants the No.1 shirt... Tim wants it, he has just had a brilliant game against Brazil in a full international, and Fraser is coming off a great season"

It s a great situation for me, but I do need to make a call and I will genuinely take all into account... Harps history, Harps experience against Tim s inexperience, but natural God-given talent, as with Fraser

Although Pardew has said he hasnt decided or focused on on particular keeper, from what I can tell he has his mind somewhat made up that Harper will be his number one this season, and knows full well that revealing it now could mean losing one if not both Krul and Forster.

Ideal world, if that was the case that Harps will be number 1, would be I think to send Krul out on loan to someone like Arsenal (ideally) if they wanted him, as they have no real back up for Szczesny, and guaranteeing him the number 1 shirt for next season if he impresses.. and assessing Forster as the number 2 this season in cup games etc. Think that would be the only possible way to keep all three.

Personally i d like to see Harps take on more of a coaching role to the other two, could be an option he d be open to based on his loyalty over the years, and as Pardew said, his knowledge of the club is second to none, would be great to have him there long term as a coach.

Then let Krul be number one this season and prove he s worthy, and have Forster number 2, which I think he d be happy with this year, and prove himself in cup games etc knowing that if Krul doesnt live up to the hype, he is going to get the opportunity to step in as number one.

The only other alternative as I can see it is to let either Krul or Forster go, which I wouldnt like to see and no doubt is a gamble because they both have a lot of potential, which one do you keep? Can see why Pardew didnt give much away, it is a tricky situation and has to be handled very carefully if we want to hold on to two very promising talents.

Newcastle Ins:
Gomez (Bayern Munich) 16m
N'Zogbia (Wigan) 9m
Erdinc (PSG) 7.5m
R.Johnson (Birmingham) 4m
N.Taylor (Swansea) 1.1m
Caneles (Maidid) Loan
Sturridge (Chelsea) Loan or permenant 10m

Outs:
Best and Guthrie (Birmingham) 5m
Smith (Leeds) 2m
Perch and Routledge (Forest) 4m
Ranger (Bolton) 1m Lualua (Brighton) 1.5m

Believable6 Unbelievable19

So... Gomez goes to Bayern for around 30 mill euro 2 years ago. He's a goalscorer of the team and now we can buy for 16 mill... I can say only this HAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHA

Agree0 Disagree0

I would say that the chance for this is 1 to 678 975

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this a fantasy list ?. It bears no resemblence to reality. FMA will only spend what he brings in from sales this summer. If Guiterez goes we might get Nzog. If Collicini goes you might get Johnson etc etc. Get real mate, have you been asleep the last two years.

Agree0 Disagree0

In an ideal world, i'd go with that. However, we don't live in that world.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gomiz is about 22-26 million >?

Agree0 Disagree0

Who writes this drivel... The toon are not going to fork out on 4 strikers in total..
One maximum... Most likely Erdinc.
Nice little dream world however. would be nice. Gomez would be a legendary no.9 scores for fun.

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think we'll get gomez but the rest are possible

Agree0 Disagree0

I wish, In a world where a Club owner had his head screwed on that would happen, I am starting to lose faith in any money being spent, If you consider we sold Nolan for 4 million + and got Cabaye in for around the same money we have not spent anything in transfer fees.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you for real? Pardew has said 'we will sign 1 or 2 more players', why would you list 7 new players.
Erdinc is the only one that looks likely and maybe Taylor

Agree0 Disagree0

No offence but whoever wrote this knows nothing about football, you sound like you dont even read the factual stuff that is out there online. fro a start nufc have said THEY will pay half of smiths wages just for him to go so that rules out getting any fee for him. and johnson 4m what happened did you miss the 1 off before the 4 ? hes been valued at 14m and going by the price of english players at the moment he will definatly be sold for more than 4m

Agree0 Disagree0

The Frase keep dreaming comes to mind MA spending money nonsense more chance of winning the lottery all that money to spend with no instant return we have no hope :/ Gomes would be around 25 million Mark anyways

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha good one mate £16 million for Gomez lmao.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dya not fancy addin someone like messi too mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds don't seem to have the money and even if smith took a wage cut it wouldn't be enough of a wage cut
Anyone know any more about this? the Leeds rumours ed says it's unlikely anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

Smith was back in training yesterday so do I take it he's not leaving just yet ?? hmmm

Agree0 Disagree0

Pardew to try and persuade Barton to stay by offering him the captaincy. Also expect 2 strikers to sign with Routledge, Best and Guthrie to leave for Championship.

Believable10 Unbelievable5

I hope Barton stays, he's been outstanding for us and we need to have players like him in the squad. Ok off the field he was a bit of a tool, but he seems to have cleaned his act up (bar the punching incident against Blackburn).

Also, he can play in several positions too

Newcastle to make a 7.5m move for Lyon's French international left back Aly Cissokho if Jose Enrique leaves

Believable4 Unbelievable10

It might have been believable until you said £7.5M........

Agree0 Disagree0

Cisokho has been valued at something like 13m he's younger than jose, more highly rated, on a longer contract and already playing for cl club. not to mention lyons owner is the tightest, stingiest guy going in football and always gets a good deal at his price.

Agree0 Disagree0

Plus Arsenal want him so we have no chance
