Alan Smith Will go to leeds united for freeor a fee

Am a mcu person but i would like to see him go to leeds

This is the move that just never seems to happen.... would be nice to see. but its just i have heard it a thousand times.

Smith is another typical footballer, he could have joined Leeds in the summer for free and played regular football but no he decided with his greedy head to take a year out on top wages at the Toon, GREEDY B*****D!!!!!!!!!!

How/why would it happen? in fairness I was told that Newcastle wanted a fee for him Leeds wanted a loan then nufc demanded £1m contribution towards wages for a year. If he really wanted to return he should negotiate settlement of contract and go but perhaps loan would give him chance to prove himself then Leeds or another team would be more willing to take a more permanent decision on him. Just saying...but yes it's like Santa discussed every yr never happens argh!!

Chris Smalling is set to join Newcastle United on loan as Steven taylor is ruled out for the season. He is set to join on a 1 month loan deal until a target can be signed in January.

Im a Newcastle supporter and season ticket holder but thats Ridiculous he's needed at Man Utd, the only one that actually might be available is Evans but a wouldnt want him

Premier League clubs CANNOT sign players on either a permanent or loan basis outside a transfer window unless the player is out of contract. i am not aware that Man Utd have cancelled Smalling's contract.

Another idiotic rumour from someone who obviously doesn't know or understand when the transfer and loan window opens. As if Man U would let Smalling leave on loan anyway.

It's not so daft as u might think. Well, maybe his target, Smalling, is, but if an application was approved for emergency buy by FA, then we'd be allowed to bring someone in for CB. But as Ed has stated on a previous thread, the CB position isn't as specialized as perhaps a GK, so i doubt the app would go through.

I agree if we do get approved the only defender i think we could get is evans and i wouldnt really want him but hes got to be better then a right back playing center half i was also think djourou from arsenal as he isnt get much of a look in in there squad Chris the toon
