If obertan was any good Man U would have kept him. I think I have only seen him have 1 good game (that was at left wing). Goslin, I tire of hearing people defend him saying we need to give him time. He couldn't compete with Guthrie for 3rd CM spot last season, he's injury prone and his decision making is to slow...and to think some were calling him the next 'Gerrard'. Get rid of both

Totally agree with the above! At long last this club is being run properly. Gone are the days where mercenaries come to the club and destroy us with their ridiculous demands. Am so glad that MA and Llambias are exercising common sense....at least we will still have a club to support! My heart goes out to Rangers and Portsmouth fans whose clubs have been destroyed by buffoons who have run them like Championship Manager! Obertan/Gosling etc. need our support and encouragement, NOT sniping. Get behind the lads. THis group are one of the most honest I have witnessed since the early 80's!

Obertan needs our support not constant bullS**T for us. as for those players you rattled off can't be that great if no one else in the PL wants them. I have total faith in our scouting system as it stands and we will get the players required in.
Obertan is woeful, I have never seen a player lose the ball so often. I hope he does well and becomes the best player in the world for us but at the moment the worst player in our squad.
Obertan did have a poor season however the same was said about collo and Jonas when they first came to the toon he is still only 23 for Christs sake
I agree with the comments that Ashley has kept the club steady. I'm Newcastle born and breed and i hate a cockney being in charge. But the club will not implode financial with him there. I rather have him there then Hall and Sheperd (some people have short memories)
saying Obertan is woeful isn't sniping at the club etc..it's just being honest. so lets be honest He has been dreadful. A club like Newcastle should be able to spend 20m in the transfer window especialy after such a strong season. There has been some good free's around but I'd Love to see the club go for Mbia (good CB and top cover for DM), Olsson (young, good LB and a good natural LW) Debuchy (top RB also a pretty good CM). these players will give us a lot more strength in depth.

We have needed 3/4 players since January and no we cant make any impact without some quality players coming in
6m being mooted for Debuchy and now 4m the fans just do not know and if 4 is correct we are just what the Lillie President says
It's all moot. If we haven't brought them or anyone in when transfer window closes, then you can start.
Some respect for the club's top brass wouldn't go amiss - we were all gutted at the debacle of the last few years but they have pulled it around in sensational fashion and no longer splash obscene amounts on household names just to keep the mob happy. We haven't lost any key players and there is still time to bring in a couple more bluechip players to add some depth.. as for Obertan, why do people feel the need to slag off our confidence players? If it's not shola it's simpson, or Obertan.. even if you were supporting Barcelona you'd be up in arms about someone.. there HAS to be a punch bag for some doesn't there. Embarrassing.
Give gosling time he's only in early 20's, but mabye we should loan him out??.
If we brought in a quality midfielder then Gosling could benefit from going out on loan. he's been at the toon 2 years now and played only a dozen games, so injury prone. Orbetan is so frustrating, a bit of exceleration, a flash of skill and then a pass straight to the opersition...pretty much everytime. You can't keep defending that. if you want to feel sorry for anyone what about Xisco? the few times he got a game was on the wing, never got a chance up front.
Everyone needs to calm down, we've been playing alot of games in pre season. As for Obetan, i wish everbody would give him a chance. I think he will be a useful player for us this season. Gosling cant be judged yet as he is just getting back to fitness. And as for SMB commenting about the Toon why dont they comment on there excellent pre season.
