Ed, i read in online somewhere that Newcastle have drawn up a list of 5 or 6 potential bosman signings. any idea who these are? i guess Hoillett is porb one of them. {Ed001's Note - Cahill is another, no idea about the rest though.}

latest rumours are:- Maiga deal signed and sealed. personal terms also agreed. just needs finalised on jan 2nd.
Ridgwell deal to be re-addressed in opening wk of jan window aswell.
Moussa Sow purchase being reconsidered as a decrease in the original price can now be negotiated! Still
around 10-13m though!

First two are believable, but it's unlikely that we will go for Sow, Ba is playing well and if we add another goal talent i think we will be fine, i agree some depth needs to be added to defense, we got lucky that Taylor wasn't out of stoke game with the facial injury.
