The rumour now from my source is that Newcastle have pulled out of signing Austin, he also said that it is painful dealing with Newcastle directors.
also shed some light on the Loic Remy saga, nufc offered 50k when the agent had already told them QPr were offering 80k, the message was meet us half way and he signs, they offered 55k.
Based on this insight, I can't see us signing anyone who will improve the first team.
