Id be happy if we did this in january:

Cb:
Douglas from Twente or Yanga-Mbiwa from Montpellier

Lb/Cb:(Santon can then play rb)
Erik Pieters from PSV

Striker:
Maiga from Sochaux, Luuk De Jong from Twente, Olivier Giroud from Montpellier or Van Wolfswinkel from Sporting Lisbon. {Ed002's Note -

Have we been linked with Douglas or Van Wolfeswinkel, i reckon Douglas is quality but Van wolfeswinkel said he wanted to stay cause Man u were intrested and he said he wasn't leaving

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope we go in for Mbiwa and Pieters, both look just what we need especially now. Mbiwa plays accross the back four, and Pieters for LB and that means santon can go into RB.

I really like Luke De Joong and hope the rumours on him are true!

Still want some Midfield cover - perhaps a loan signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure if we've been linked with douglas but we were linked with wolfswinkel awhile back before he went to sporting, probably a long shot with man u tracking him but i think he's the type of striker we need.

how come it says "Ed002's Note -" but then there is no comment? Or is the top reply here Eds note haha? {Ed007's Note - Must be a glitch in the Matrix.}

This is a rumour website not a wish list !

Ed - can you tell us who are our january targets? Or at the very least what positions we are looking to buy for and how many? Will we have any loans or full signings? {Ed002's Note - I can't reasonably answer your questions but dipping in to my notes I can see that there has been an enquiry from Newcastle about Doumbia and it is likely if there is another team who have actually enquired it will be Arsenal. Chelsea and no doubt others have had scouts at games but that is some way from making any enquiries for the player. Doumbia does a good job of talking himself up and CSKA will likely want £25M or so for the player. Probably too expensive for Newcastle. Moussa Sow for Lille is up for grabs and Arsenal and Newcastle could be interested. De Jong might be a much more viable option but Liverpool may also look to bid. There were persisting rumours of interest in Franck Tabanou and I personally think he could do a really neat job for a team like Newcastle . Boudebouz has had a good season for Sochaux and once again Newcastle are linked - but I really don't see a move coming off. Charles Kabore is still perhaps a viable option and maybe a move for Hoilett is not out of the question. That is about the best I can do right now.}

Steven Taylor out for the season after injured archilles tendon. Set to have surgery. Coloccini also a major doubt for norwich game. Back for of Santon Simpson Perch R Taylor expected to start against Norwich. Definitely need to be in the market for a couple of centre backs in january now!

Believable5 Unbelievable0

When does Mike Williamson get back from injury? He seems to have been out forever. Relying on Perch at centre back is really worrying.

Does anyone know if Ben Arfa is injured? or was that change just tactical? is so bad sub!

Believable0 Unbelievable3

He's injured his knee. Bad day all-round.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's not injured, nor was it a bad substitution. Pardew knew how dodgy their CB pairing was and tried to exploit it, I thought Shola was one of the better players second half so in my opinion it was a good substitution on the day. Obviously Ben Arfa is a better player overall though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Was a tactical sub m8. correct decision in my eyes it wasnt working just ba uptop on his own nd ben arfa wasnt doing much. shola caused problems when he came on

Agree0 Disagree0

What are you talking about?!?! Ben Arfa was so frustrating in that game, time and time again he lost us possesion with his dribling into walls of chelsea players, it put so much pressure on our defense that we were unable to keep the ball in their final 3rd. We looked far more dangerous in attack with Ba in his role and Shola in attack.

Agree0 Disagree0

What!? HBA had no rythm, Shola caused s**tloads more trouble to Luiz and Terry than HBA did. Cmon man...

Agree0 Disagree0

He's injured I tell you

Agree0 Disagree0

Sky even reported it as tactical at the time, atleast we have options to cover HBA, our defence next week could be interesting !

Agree0 Disagree0

Makems should really keep to their own championship site.. HBA was tactical. Think it'll be 4-1-3-1 against Norwich with Simpson centre back with perch.. Even without Saylor and Collo we should have too much for the canneries.. Chelsea showed how much protection Jonas gives the left..

Agree0 Disagree0

A great tactical sub ! Hba is so frustrating to watch at the mo why can't he just pass the ball !
