Newcastle set to complete signing of bafetimbi gomis from lyon in the next 24-48 hours, fee has been agreed of 6.9 million upfront with upto 1.6 million in addons. Gomis has agreed a 4 year deal worth 45k a week & should pass a medical today.

Deal for loic remy has been agreed with qpr which is a season long loan deal that will cost 1.8 million with a view to a permanent 7 million move in the summer. Personal terms are yet to be agreed but remy may have to take a small pay cut which could delay the deal.

Mike williamson looks set for a move away this month hull, norwich and cardiff are interested in a cut price deal as well as a couple of championship sides. Newcastle are willing to let him leave for fee of between 1-2 million so they free up for wages for the remy deal.

If williamson does leave, newcastle will look to bring in either st ettiene defender kurt zouma or lyon's bakary kone as a replacement. Any deal could include offering gabriel obertan a return to france plus upto 6 million for zouma or 3 million for kone.

Newcastle will not be signing darren bent, there was genuine interest but we are not prepared to match villas 6 million asking price and now that fulham have made a 4. 75 million bid we are unlikely to enter the running.

Newcastle are also set to launch a bid for ajax captain siem de jong, the dutchman has a year left to run on his contract although it is thought ajax could ask for as much as 9 million for the talented midfielder who can also play up front.

Adam campbell is set for a season long loan with st mirren if we can complete deals for both remy & gomis, we are prepared to allow the youngster to leave if we can get sufficient cover.

On the subject of loans sammy ameobi will spend the first half of next season out on loan to gain regular first team football hull, cardiff, middlesborough & wigan have shown interest so far.

Players that could also still leave this summer include dan gosling, romain almalfitano and gabriel obertan.

Other players that have been linked with a move to newcastle include gignac, cardozo, nkoulou, erikson, zoet, rodrigo, sinclair and adebayor but I wouldn't hold too much hope of those deals happening.

Newcastle agree fees for transfers of strikers Bafetimbi Gomis AND Loic Remy

Only a medical and sorting agents' cut are outstanding for Lyon star, while QPR hitman is set to arrive on an initial year's loan. Problem there are 4 Agents. Nuff said.

McCarthy also on the radar but The Fools will offer 11m Wigan want 20m

Cabaye will probably move as will Cisse and possibly Krul and Joker will balance the books with a surplus for Ashley's pocket to justify why he is here.

Believable10 Unbelievable11

Not fools at all, he's good but he's not worth 11m, let alone 20

Agree8 Disagree6

Cabaye and cisse going nowhere.

Agree6 Disagree5

You started well but then your brain obv fell back out, cisse and krul are going nowere wishful thinking on your part, only main player who could leave is cabaye but it will take 25-30mill for us to sell so doubt wether hel go we won't sign mccarthy not at 20m overpriced typical for young british player worth 10max other than that gomis and remy only true fact u state

Agree3 Disagree2

Sorry but they are fools as Everton offered 12.5m for the player and was rejected.

Agree0 Disagree2

Krul going nowhere as fiance pregnant and will not move this year as wants to be near family

Agree3 Disagree1

Everton have made no bid for him. No one has!
