has anyone else heard the reports that we might make a bid for arshavin? I'd say he would do well for us. he just needs a few games and it would give us cover on the wings and a different option. ED what do you think and have you heard anything? {Ed001's Note - not a chance, his wages are too high.}

Sometimes I wonder if these people have a clue about the team they support.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ouch my sides ha ha ha ha what planet are you sgb living on

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes useless go way out of it,headless chicken

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure what's funnier, our fan talking about arshavin, or the daft mackem jumping on it, any half chance to jump on a geordie, if your that bothered we're 3rd or 4th on motd every week cheesy chips fiend! true what they say, sunderland fans would rather see newcastle lose than sunderland win.... illustrated by a 35,000 average.... times hard in pennywell, the dole not paying as much in these hard economic times?

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats funny SGB is that you didn't half bite there whats up you getting worried, especially when Ba and Tiote go to the ACON, Krul, Colocini jump ship and you have to play shola upfront haha and the average of sunderland is 38,630 not 35,000, but it is going up every game but trying to talk crap about attendances is sad btu you are a geordie bless ya. Over the wall Bellamy!!SGB

Agree0 Disagree0

Typical mackem, laugh at us loosing ba nd playing shola when they start every week with the biggest arsenal reject of them all.....enjoy heskey when o'neil brings him in

Agree0 Disagree0

Well jan window is here again same old pardew s@@t scared 2 ask fatty for money 4 players go back to Southampton puppet face

Agree0 Disagree0

Newcastle are more likely to sign Heskey. Just in your price bracket and you are more desperate than Sunderland.

Agree0 Disagree0

So the specky 1 is on holiday wish he was on permanant1 take FCB with him we arn not getting any bugs bunny to spend

Agree0 Disagree0

What a load of guff

Agree0 Disagree0

Hardly desperate, sat clear in 7th place, unlike safc in 15th, and not really, we sign young, cheap players, heskey doesnt fall into that really, o'neil is a big heskey fan so if he goes anywhere will be safc

This is exciting..
We’re looking at 18 year old striker Jordan Botaka, offered him a trial, which have been turned down by Club Brugge.
They must value him then, but he’s yet to sign a new contract, so we’ll see what happens.

Also there’s 18 year old Harry Maguire, CB, from Sheffield Wednesday, where Tavernier is on loan.

Both seen as future prospects, but both have been involved in first team action.
Any info on these two lads Ed, how far can they go and how much have they shown so far? {Ed001's Note - I don't know a lot about Botaka at all, I don't follow Belgian football that closely and he hasn't made any first team appearances that I know of. Maguire is very highly rated, though I thought he played for Sheffield United? Either way, he would be a very good signing for the future, in my opinion.}

He plays for United not Wednesday

Agree0 Disagree0

Aright, my bad, United it is then ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Both would be good signings, but for a player to progress, they need football, and neither would get it for two seasons at least at NUFC, unless we can find suitable loan clubs should they sign.
