5.45pm I was driving back home tonight along the coast road between sunderland and south shields. I pulled into morrisons, for petrol, at seaburn and joey barton was in there filling his car up (black bmw). Morrisons in seaburn is about half a mile away from sunderland's training facilities at cleadon. This situation couldn't get worse ie he's not been talking to sunderland?? I don't know where Barton lives but most NUFC players seem to gravitate to the posh areas of north west newcastle ie near the airport.
Before i'm accused of being a scurrilous mackem i'm a newcastle fan living in south shields whose first home game was in 1970.

Journal linking us with Barnetta again as a replacement for Barton. Don't know too much about him but at this point I just want to see some extra numbers in the squad. Ideally we would have had Barnetta and Barton in the same squad but silly me.... we don't follow a club run by sensible, decent and logical folk.

The Sun are reporting that it is not only Joey's twitter rants that have forced him out of the club.
Apparently him and Pardew had a blistering row just before the Leeds game and Barton was refusing to play unless he was made captain.
It is anyone's guess whether this is true but it sounds like Joey's is going back to his old tricks and generally just causing trouble.
I still think we could have got some cash for him, remember my Champ Man game getting 1m for him with 6 months left on his contract

Ive heard there is a Takeover going to happen at Newcastle in the next couple of weeks. Ashley has released Barton as a leaving present the fcb and will sell Jose before he goes to get a bit more money out of the club.
