Just got word of Newcastle after asking Man United how much they want for Danny Welbeck. Cant give the name of the source but supposedly about 7-9 million pounds.

Believable25 Unbelievable15

Newcastle will unveil 3 more players before start of season. 100% guarunteed but dont expect all 3 to be big names Will be 2 defenders and a striker Bridge could be one of the players but keeping things hush hush even tho talks at an advanced stage. Other defender is rumoured to be form germany and a striker other than erding is believed to have been approached....watch this space

Believable11 Unbelievable14

Be interested to know your source mate... guessing here but if theres any truth to it the three players might be Bridge, Long and Roman Hubnik.. apparently have watched him on numerous occasions since last December, tried to get him last minute in January but didnt, and with the Hertha signing a new centre back recently he is said to be on his way out

KRTOON

Agree0 Disagree0

My info comes from the strawberry mate Not always spot on but hear a lot and get a lot of people in the know in Bridge the only name mentioned but said carr is to spend some time in germany next week and its to talk to a club about a player he spotted and reccomended to AP

Agree0 Disagree0

Its a rumour and banter page lads whats the use of saying 3 signings coming in but giving no names everyone could do that lets have the names and then we can think serious or have a laugh

Agree0 Disagree0

Too much broon ale

Agree0 Disagree0

"In the know". Nuff said.

Believable6 Unbelievable32

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha very funny

Agree0 Disagree0

No he just got get a visa?

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol this is a Laugh. Why 15 million? Not being funny hes on a 5 year deal. Would be a waste to sell him.

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont believe it.. he managed to get in ok after his hols.. dont be surprised to wake up tomo and he's at city or chelsea or arsenal or manuire.. and we'll have £25mill. well ash will

Agree0 Disagree0

He's gone to ghana.... why would he swap a premier league club for some club in ghana? :L

Agree0 Disagree0

Your not supposed to have multiple work Visa. Newcastle should have written to explain it before they went on the tour. They just need to verify he hasn't breached his Visa It only takes a couple of day.

Incompetence in the Newcastle Office.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can i get a job in there as they aint got a clue what a laugh should be a joke shop

Agree0 Disagree0

Read the lines before you read inbetween them HE'S TRAINING IN GHANA. get a grip you doom monger

Agree0 Disagree0

He's on a five year deal? so what so was Carroll, I don't think he's going but all a long contract does now is ensure the selling club get's a decent fee.

Agree0 Disagree0

I aint a doom monger bonny lad ..just read it as i see it ...agree with monger though used to be a fish monger ...geordie tom

Agree0 Disagree0

So why is he traing in ghana thought he was from the ivory coast ...rabbit away somewhere here

Agree0 Disagree0

HE'S TRAINING IN GHANA. Why? doesn't sound good so close to opening day?

Agree0 Disagree0

He can't get into England but he's signing for Chelsea that is all time stupidity.

waiting to be anounced bassong and crouch having medical tomorrow 12.5 million with add ons deal to be finalised when spurs get there new striker in a few days

Believable10 Unbelievable28

Bassong i could see even though we have apparantly rejected the option to get him he always looked a very good player when he played at newcastle and would love to see him back as for crouch its a non starter really he is 30 which is way older than we would be willing to but secondly there is no way he is worth 9 mil which we were quoted at his age and he is not in the mold of a striker that pardew is looking for for example erding and long

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we re-sign Bassong? Crouch does not fit into MA wage structure. Get real.

Agree0 Disagree0

Newcastle dont want bassong back

Agree0 Disagree0

Is take bassong back as competition for first team centre back spot along side collocini but crouch, no thank you when you have a player like that in your squad you play nothin but hoof-ball would be a perfect signing for any team allardyce manages

Agree0 Disagree0

Tripe.

Agree0 Disagree0

A see wat you fail to remember is that bassong can also play as a left back so could a return be on the cards

Agree0 Disagree0

We are not interested in any of these two players. Stop talking rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

I am an Arsenal fan and I don't see why Newcastle aren't in for Bendtner, he is young and with some regular games he could be great for Newcastle, even if Newcastle paid the £14 million asking price it would be an absolute bargain compared with £9 million Crouch.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bollocks when we've already said that we are not getting bassong back (GEORDIE BOY 4LIFE)

Agree0 Disagree0

Bendtner, if you think he's worth £14 million why don't you play the long streak of p*ss

According to sources in france. PSG's mevlut erdinc is set to turn down an offer from newcastle to stay in paris.

newcastle will now look at other options with defoe in the rankings.

Believable19 Unbelievable14

That post started off quite sensible then went all silly. Defoe is a none starter for so so many reasons. They were only interested in him as a loan signing. THFC want a sale. Defoe is too old for NUFC's buying policy and he doesn't want to come north. He was truly truly rubbish last season and not worth £9M. NEED I GO ON. Because I can. Let the Dofe story go FFS. SteveToon

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to agree with SteveToon on this one. about defoe but i wish pardew would forget about erdinc. and go out and buy a young hungry forward ..the days of big money buys are gone at wor club... geordie tom

Agree0 Disagree0

I still Believe We have so many alternatives to focus Any other league can be considered, e.g. Dutch?

Although we still aren't making any more progress on the Striker front, I was thinking wait a minute. Wigan are losing the player that kept them up last season and will probably replace him with the likes of Routledge.

Swansea are struggling to sign boys like Leroy Lita and don't really have any prem quality.

QPR if they keep Taraabt and make a fefew more signings could be ok but nothing special.

Wolves, WBA, Stoke etc the jury is out and Sunderland have spent but need to wait and see how all of those players gel.

What I am saying is things aren't great for us just now but I would be very surprised if we don't sign at least 1 decent striker and the players we have are a lot better than other teams in the league.

Lets keep our heads up.

Geo.

Believable11 Unbelievable5

I understand your point Geo, but surely after the sales the club has made and the funds generated, the current players, surely we should be looking at the top 8 or so, rather than looking at the bottom clubs as an inspiration.

Agree0 Disagree0

Could also depend on what team spirit is like aswell. Agree though. We should have a squad too strong for most of them teams.
Psycho

Agree0 Disagree0

We've brought it no premier exp other than Ba who isn't a no.9 shirt worth. and we've lost the next big premier league ST and lost our captain and top scorer last season. ehm...

Agree0 Disagree0

Ideally, that is what we should be looking at but obviously Ashley has this new business perspective in place at running the club and he ain't gonna spend the money we've made.

I appreciate that he is trying to keep us out of debt but I also think he needs to show us some more financial support just now.

Ultimately if we don't spend anymore and lose the likes of Barton and Enrique then Pardew's goal this season is to keep us up.

Geo

Agree0 Disagree0

What happens when we get a few injuries?
we have a good midfield, the rest of the squad is average at best.

Agree0 Disagree0

What happened to the "stepping up a level" that Parspew ranted on about at the end of last season ? cant see us doing that with what we have. Once again, they can see us renewing the season tickets and think 'well, they are still giving us their money..what the hell, no more signings'...nothing ever changes.

Agree0 Disagree0

The fact is we should be competing with clubs such as stoke, aston villa, sunderland, fulham ect and i would say that at the moment we are about on par with these teams signings wise but the fact is if we want to push higher then ashley needs to start investing into the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard we have been in talks with Crouch and they are ongoing. Can't see it happening though because he will have no resale value and Ashley wont pay good money for a 30 year old.
Erdinc we should forget about. If he wanted to come, he would have been here a month ago. A little concerned with the lack of transfer activity and its evident we are going to fall so far behind the big boys.

Believable6 Unbelievable7

Hope we dont sign crouch, we got the whole of august to go lets hope and see what happens, ashley and co in last chance saloon as far as im concerned. Both sides need to be realistic tho, we the fans accept we are never going to get a 30mill striker with ashley but he needs to realise this is a number 9 club and we will accept nothing less than a decent striker whos more than fully commited to the toon. Heres praying.
iow toon

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree we wont get crouch as no resale value, but need a quick out and out centre forward. but ma doesn t want to spend too much on one so it could be a deadline deal panic buy.i hope i m wrong but sick of the bs coming out of the club about how much ma has spent.

ED or anyone could you please tell me whats going on with the erding deal im lost and personally i dont think hes that good (GEORDIE BOY 4LIFE)

Believable7 Unbelievable3

The problem with Erding remains that he still does not appear to have come forward to state that he would come to this club. I wouldn't be surprised (but could just be paranoid) that we are chasing him even in the knowledge that he won't be coming - we seemed to do the same with Kevin Gameiro until he signed for PSG, and after saying he wouldn't wish to join us.

Pursuing a player that shows little or no interest in coming for a number of weeks could simply provide Newcastle with an excuse to tell the fans when the season starts that "we tried" to get him without there being any actual intention.

Focusing on one player like this too also virtually eliminates the opportunity to pursue other strikers, that's the worry - that we'll miss out on other players simply by going after what may turn out to be a lost cause.

Agree0 Disagree0

Erding i dont thick hes good either i would rather sign crouch he is a proven prem striker erding could be like alberto luque (crap)

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't seem to have much competition for Erding. Unusual that for a supposed top range striker. I've never wanted him. As for Crouch, I saw him play for both Pompey & Spurs in the last few years. He's past it, lost his hunger. Don't go near him. SteveToon
