Sunday night and yet there is a lot of movement and activity around and in SJP! Big black cars and a blacked out galaxy pulled up over a hour ago. MA supposed to be on site. Got it from a mate that there is also a lot of activity at the training complex too! Signing maybe? medical? or just general work?

Should think so after the Brighton performance we need to be very active over the next two days of the market

We definately need a decent centre back as perch a bit of a liability also maybe a pacy midfielder, what u reckon?

I would say Willo is more a liability than Perch. Willo for the size of him is just to nice. Doesn't win enough 1st balls for me.

Work with don Pearce , farther of Alex , of reading , ch strong and in the Steven Taylor mould ,say we have made an offer of around 1.5 mil . Ap still has connections there . Been talking to the lad over weekend , nufc officials that is .

Mbiwa is said to be have been left out of yesterdays squad cause of a deal being worked out between NUFC and the player.
Clubs has supposedly agreed a fee.
Also, it's belived that Mbiwa will go through the medical tomorrow.
He also didn't play during their recent cup match.
So, for all i know it could be a 2+2=4 matter.
But it's very belivable if i'm honest.

I think we should bring back Carrol on loan, seen as Liverpool are willing to let him go, so we could play using 4-3-3 effectively, rather than having shola and best upfront who both have recently looked useless.

Montpellier defender Mapou Yanga-mbiwa is said to have left France for Tyneside ahead of a medical due to take place tomorrow after a fee was agreed between the two clubs. Last week his agent denied there was interest from Bayern Munich, when a scout from the German side turned up at a recent game. However, rumour has it he is due to sign a 4.5 year deal at Newcastle United.
