the chronicle is saying peter beardsley could step up as caretaker manager. another thing. it can only happen to wor team halfway thru the season bad timing as far as iam concerned

Your opinion has more credibility than the Chronicles Geordie Tom. We are going nowhere under Pardew. Could Beardsley be the man to get the most out of cabella, perez and make us a more attacking unit.

I think he will be the man to turn to as an interim manager atleast till the end of the season. I think he would play a better brand of football and would be the best man at filtering through our younger players. Whether he would succeed or not I'm not sure but I am sure the we will not get De Boer or any manager who is employed by any club. Ashley will see it as an expense not needed. I hope its not Pulis as it will be naff football, he would look to free agents as such: Di Matteo, Lennon, Remi Garde, Patrick Kluivert, Rijkaard.

Let's not get too pessimistic about P45's successor - the football can hardly get worse. Instead, let's celebrate our victory tonight (as soon as the news is confirmed, of course). Geordie Tom - I think Beardsley deserves a shot. he knows the club, let's face it if he is half as good a coach as he is a player then we are in for a treat. He has played at the highest level and cabella, perez and de Jong could all benefit.

I think we could all do with seeing some attacking football.

Could ashley be rubbing his hands at the compensation package he could get for pardew?

Doubt that Palace want him that much to pay a compensation package.

If pardew does go to palace we should go for a supposed palace target, Tony Popovic. he has done a great job with Sydney West. He won the a-league and asian champs league in the clubs 2nd and 3rd year. plays attacking football and his players are fit as greyhounds.

Not defending Pardew with this observation - he is doing a marginally better job than Rodgers, pochetino, martinez and dennis wises mate. There isn't anyone who can work miracles with this squad and we will always sell our best players.
