Newcastle are planning to take a chance on Tranquilo Barnetta even know he is injured they want to sign him on a permanent deal they see him as a great addition to the team with his versatility.
Also feel if they leave it until the summer he may sign a new contract or sign a pre contract with another club.

Ireland is in contention but swp, taarabt and mutu are definitely not coming to Sjp. also no players going anywhere, the selling of players will happen in the summer. I think maybe james mcfadden would be a good purchase. what do you think ed? {ed's note - isn't McFadden out for a few months yet? I know he had a long term injury, but not sure when he is back off the top of my head. If fit he is a decent Premier League player on his day, but it just isn't his day enough for my liking.}

Ed any news about carroll when is he coming back {ed's note - he was due back next month, 5th was the date he was supposedly set to return. I have not heard any solid news of his comeback being delayed, just rumours, so I will go with the official date!}
