Rumour doing the rounds, Pardew got a 5 year deal because he has casino debts to Ashley and Lambias of £2.5m so gets paid next to nothing, Ashley hopi ng to sell club once premier league safety sealed, So NO investment in squad and new owners will pay off Pardews contract and he can settle debts.
WE need this to happen soon so our proud club can go forward without the clown Ashley holding us back.
What a load of rubbish! It does make me wonder where sone of you guys get this stuff from!
We have bought Ben Arfa this month, and he has been paid for before people start on that! You have to look at the bigger picture, our best business this season would be keeping Joey Barton, Jose Enrique and the other lads that have recently signed new deals.
We possibly need 10 points to make sure of safety then look to adapt the squad and buy/sell in the summer! (any views on this ed?) {ed's note - first off Pardew didn't get the job because of debts, but because of being friendly with Ashley and Lambas. I do agree that the most important thing is tying down the important players, the only real desperate need is a striker.}

I doubt if he was in debt he would go out to the casino with Ashley the other day when Ashley lost £1 million check the sun website.

Ed-any news on Stephen Ireland seb larrson or Gary hooper coming to Newcastle-thanks {ed's note - Ireland refused to accept the wages on offer, unless Villa can be persuaded to pay part of them there is nothing doing there. Hooper doesn't want to move just yet, he has only just joined Celtic, I am not sure if he would reconsider in the summer or not though. Larsson is still not fully out of the question, but both parties are playing a waiting game, I can't see Ashley agreeing to pay him more though.}

2 QPR players taarbat and fitz hall would be good adds to the squad also macheda from man u on loan maybe? {ed's note - Macheda has gone to Sampdoria on loan for the rest of the season, scored at the weekend I believe.}

- - Hulk is on TNA these days, no longer emplyed by WWE. But i had heard the Vince rumour before, not terribly likely though.

There might be a chance of Ireland coming to Toon if they can reach an wage agreement after Newcastle willing to pay more of his wages than previous offer. Plus this may be true with Carroll getting higher wages now.

O'hara to sign on loan with poss permanant deal in summer or Larsson on permanant deal in next week i expect 1 of these to go thru (note Carroll going nowhere FACT) poss loan for Van Aanholt to play LW/LB =)smiler Ed what dya think to the idea that when Newcastle reach the safety mark the club will go back up for sale? {ed's note - it wouldn't surprise me, unless it begins to bring in a decent profit there is no reason for Ashley to keep it. Though he can pay himself bonuses etc, unless the club is in profit he risks his investment being destroyed so has to be careful. It makes sense to sell it as an established Premier League club.}
