Ed do you know whats happening with Enrique?
and any names of replacements if he's on his way out?

{Ed042's Note - Didnt play last night with a hamstring problem but some reports saying it may be due to a deal being struck for him, hard to know really but Liverpool are apparently ready to make a bid, reported between 9 and 11.5 million.. other rumours saying Arsenal are negotiating a swap deal, all speculation though, nothing confirmed.. replacement wise, no new names, wont be either until the deal is done, only rumour ive heard is we may go back in for Neil Taylor, and although we have denied interest, I would say if we get close to season kick off without replacing him we will buy Bridge, think he is the emergency option to be honest}

Would hate him to go to liverpool, dont want him to go at all but if he wants to leave then i could stomach him going to arsenal for £11/12 million.
Would hate Bridge as his replacement, Bridge is crap and is on massive mages.

{Ed042's Note - Be ideal to get money plus Traore from Arsenal, could sign a good back up centre mid or really push for someone like Sturridge up front then but wishful thinking Id say.. Read an interview with MBengue in french paper the other day, hes going nowhere by the looks of it, already rejected a 6m bid a month ago anyway.. heard Drenthes name aswell but could be all paper talk based on him being surplus to requirements at Real and us needing a left back if Jose goes, besides, would be on a big enough wage, and to be honest Im not mad on him, good one week, terrible the next}

Completely forgot Traore was still an arsenal player, was on loan at juventus right?
Who do u think is better Traore or Gibbs just incase we do ask for player plus cash from arsenal?

{Ed042's Note - Hard to know, Traore has played more first team football with being on loan at Juve, but Wenger has a lot of faith in Gibbs and he has developed from what ive seen.. more of a who would we have any chance of getting in a swap deal than a whos better scenario, and that would be Traore I think}

sorry for all the questions just it seems like you know your stuff, but do you know if we have any interest or are likely to sign Nicklas Bentdner? maybe in a swap for Enrique?
Think he would thrive at us being a regular starter.

{Ed042's Note - No worries mate.. know we had interest alright, know Arsenal have let him speak to a few clubs, but whether Newcastle were one of those clubs is another thing.. say his wages would be the stumbling block either way, on 52K at the moment at Arsenal.. but id agree with you, many wouldnt im sure ha but think if Bendtner was playing week in week out he would get 15 to 20 a season in all competitions, his record at Arsenal for minutes on the pitch is actually quite good despite what people think}

Exactly People who slate him clearly havent watched him much. Hid record is pretty impressive considering most of his appearances have come off the bench.
I reckon if he came here(swap for Enrique if he wants to go maybe?) and we gave him the number 9 shirt that he could get 15-20 goals a season when playing regularly.

I dont know if this is speculation or if this is genuine, but i have been informed that Newcastle have made an enquiry about taking chamakh on loan for a year arsenal are to pay 11 million for enrique and with that cash newcastle will buy drenthe from madrid. who knows like i say not sure if true but lets hope so

I have heard this as well but I heard 10 million for enrique not 11

Newcastle will join Rangers and Cardiff in the race for K.Miller. The deal could cost less then a million, personally i'd have him for that price.

There won't be any "selling" involved. The wages Smithy's on will mean that we'll be paying someone to take him as in our share of his pay. He's a decent bloke who gets stuck in. I wish him well. Steve Toon

Well I can't say we'd definitely take him as Bates is as tight as... but if Fat Cashley sees sense he'll do something to shove him in our direction. He shouldve come back ages ago tbh, particularly after the broken leg, he wasn't the quickest to start with but Smithy is struggling at Prem level. Hope something gets sorted - you need him off the wage bill, Leeds need an experienced guy to get us organised and focused, our defence is shocking and the transfer policy is a joke. We may not like each other that much but we are kind of similar with daft owners lol

Our lass works at NUFC ticket office, and the rumour amongst the staff is that one/two more players will be joining this window - one striker and possibly a left back when Jose goes to Liverpool. No-one knows who the striker will be, but it seems the club and especially Pardew and Graham Carr (chief scout) are dead set on Erdinc. If we dont get him now then we may wait until January... wtf??
Unfortunately, as much as i would love to see Sturridge at our great club, i dont think it will happen, and neither do the staff at St James' because there is a feeling of "emptiness" according to my girlfriend... almost all the talk is that they feel cheated, lied to and obviously a bit down about the coming season...
Cashley...please please please sign Sturridge

Just seen on caught offside we have offered Enrique to Liverpool for aquallini and 5 million seems a total waste if im honest with lukaku looking like being a chelsea player nows the time to move for sturridge or even kalou wouldn't mind defoe either i generally believe we will get a good number 9 just wish it would happen sooner rather than later {Ed002's Note - I doubt there is any credibility to the story involving Aquilani. His problem is he wants to be back at home playing in Italy - not moving from Liverpool to Newcastle.}

He's currently injured and fairly unexperienced, we need a decent starting lb. News today however is that Liverpool are looking at hamburg's Jansen. Shame as he's a class player. Occasionally gets into Germany's national team.

Dont think we will offer Enrique to anyone, anyone who wants him will have to make the first move

How bad does it look

Just seen on nufc.co.uk injury isnt that bad he was withdrawn as a precaution and its only a slight twist

Getting re-assesed today is defoo leaving tour, hopefully it is a twist although he has had precautionary x ray

Hopefully he's fit soon and it is a slight twist as Ben Afra is a player I want to see destroy the Makems.

Hopefully he is available for the start of the season.

Which person clicks on unbelievable after the post i can only asume they think i, m a makem but they need to get in the know as its true and being in the sir john stand since since 1994 and then in the old score board stand before that think this qualifies me a magg...
