Only if AVB thinks its right for the player He says sturridge is an interesting player with a big future so could be he going no where Fulham could be a good move for him tho cos they in london and in europe

lukaku on his way to chelsea. Surely pardew must bid for sturrige and test to see how much chelsea want to keep him. 10mil plus 5 depending on appearences/goals would make sense. Fits ashleys bill perfectly-young, reasonably priced, sell on potential. No doubt we will offer around 3.5mil and come out with the usual 'we tried' when chelsea tell us to driffft

apparently nufc will give chelsea barton and 7 million for sturridge, and chelsea may be tempted due to the aging of their squad and passing ability of barton-KC {Ed001's Note - so, let me get this straight, Chelsea are so worried by the age of their squad that they are going to give away a young striker to get a not-so-young midfielder?}

Tight pocket, you're totally right he should spend all the money we have. Look at what happened over the past 10 years. All that money we spent on Owen, Luque, Martins, it really got us moving in the right direction didn't it? Maybe, just maybe, he isn't a t**t and after investing 1/4 of a billion pounds of his own money he would like to see his investment achieve some stability. If that means flogging some lanky gobs**te from Teams and replacing him with someone who is as technically gifted as Sturridge, for year with even the slightest chance that we could get him afterwards then I'm in.

toon will sign Shane Long for around £7m within the next 2 weeks as both clubs have come to a mutual agreement although he is a much needed striker he would'nt be my first choice given the option would much rather pay £10m for sturridge now and the other £10m in installments over a 5 year contract kind of like what we done for Oba Martins as Chelsea are not strapped for cash I could see them accepting our offer of paymment this way and it would be somthing we could afford to do does anybody agree with that.

Its club policy now to pay for transfers in lump sums as when MA took over he was still paying installments on players that had already left the club. {Ed001's Note - UEFA put a cap on the length of time that transfers could be paid over anyway as part of the FFP ruling.}
I think this will happen too and i believe because it is 7million Ashley will think its pleasing the fans, i wont be expecting any more signings if Long does sign but if there is they wont be over 3million...thats my view anyway
