An agreement has been reached for remy cabella to join in the summer NOT this winter. I can see him being a replacement for Cabaye.
Why not just get him in now, that will thoroughly increase our chances of getting top 7/6, if we got him in now, we'd have three top creative players in him Cabaye and ben Arfa. Same old Ashley wheeling and dealing.

They don't want to sell until their relegation fears are over/confirmed at the end of the season.

It's because Montpellier are up the creek without a canoe. They're 4 points off relegation and Cabella's their best player, they'll do everything to hold onto him until they're safe. It's like if we were in the position we were in last season and sold Cabaye.

Montpellier don't want him to leave yet! and Cabella himself has said he doesn't want to leave the club until the season is over as he doesn't want his team to be relegated.
I would love him to come NOW, but at least we know he is a player with heart and character and not just going to jump ship when times get hard

Reports saying we have joined the race for Basel's Mohamed Salah.
Also in the same report says we are trying to conclude a deal for Luuk de Jong.
Agreement reached with Montpellier (finally) for Remy Cabella, although their (loopy) president says he won't leave this winter.
Interesting how Pardew has been using Cabaye in the no 10 role, maybe already preparing for the departure of Yohan, and incoming of Cabella (natural no10 type)?

Not too sure what Kinnear is thinking but, according to an article on ssn, he's said "I will not let any player leave Newcastle United in this transfer window. "
Apparently we've just joined Liverpool in the race for Basel's Mohammad Salah too - rated at £12 by his current club.
Would be interesting to see if that statement from Kinnear is actually true and what that'll mean for him at the end of this Cabaye saga.

According to a website Newcastle have hired an agent to help secure Remy Cabella this window. The same website is saying that the Montpellier manager (remember, the one who called us a small club and questioned why anyone would spend a week in Newcastle never mind have a career their?) wants Ben Arfa on loan for the rest of the season as part of any deal for Cabella. Does he have some nerve or what?

Montpellier coach Rolland Courbis would like to take Hatem Ben Arfa on loan from Newcastle till the end of the season. especially if the magpies deprive him of Remy Cabella

Cabaye to be sold. Remy cabella signing has went Down the drain and we have no interest in the de Jong brothers. So I guess Cabaye will go to psg and leave us to fly down the table and possibly get relegated.
