Man City is now in the chase for Tiote and Mancini is willing to offer £25 mills. I can't see MA turning that down so we desperately need another strong midfielder to fill that huge hole. Any ideas who we will go for? Will Cabaye and Guthrie be our central line for the rest of the season if Tiote goes?

Believable1 Unbelievable9

Cant see tiote going to citeh in jan window to be honest.... summer maybe... but who knows if we get into europe

Agree4 Disagree1

City are getting rid of de jong - similar player to tiote. Not saying that its true, but surely city would be looking for a replacement?

Agree3 Disagree3

Be difficult for players in the ACN to sign for clubs now. i know we signed Cisse but that was before the tourney, the games are only a few days apart now and cant see the managers let them spend time flying to england etc

Agree4 Disagree1

No moves will be happening now due to the fact the cup starts tomoz and even if someone did try to sign someone from the cup wat national manager will let his players fly 8 hours one way passing throught two time zones then having to do the same on the way back

Agree2 Disagree1

Have to say I disagree here. Teams could just as easily send some delegation to the tournent

Agree1 Disagree1

I don't think City will be spending really big now because of the 2012 financial European rule

Agree3 Disagree2

20mil and de jong and i would be snapping that offer up

Agree2 Disagree2

£10million plus De Jong, A.Johnson and Onuoha

Agree2 Disagree0

De-jong dirty player imo ,not for us abd defo not with Benny in the team.

Agree1 Disagree0

Do you really think de Jong and HBA in the same team will work

Demba Ba to Arsenal as MA recoups the money paid for Cisse?

Believable2 Unbelievable18

They play one striker at a time, you really think Ba will be happy sitting behind VP. Nice one, but try again.

Agree9 Disagree3

Boring. Same story as yesterday. Ba ain't going anywhere. SMB.

Agree11 Disagree5

........ it is the same stupid person who posts this rumour every day on this page

Agree9 Disagree1

Utta BS

Agree8 Disagree2

Ba def off, why sign cisse? one in one out, mike ash is still holding the purse strings!

Agree4 Disagree9

There s a circus in the town all SGB are clowns.

Agree6 Disagree6

WOW, is that the best you got.SMB

Agree7 Disagree1

Why would Ba recommend Cisse to come to Newcastle then leave, Why would Cisse sign for Newcastle knowing Ba was going to leave !!!

Agree7 Disagree2

Money talks always has always will mega wage offered and bye bye

Agree1 Disagree2

Fed up of this rubbish, stop posting the same crap every day hes going nowhere before the summer at least

Agree1 Disagree1

Mega wage? arsenal don't pay huge wages. could see Ba maybe leaving in the summer if an offer came along but not every footballer is motivated by money (eg shearer) and who is going to off the big money needed to take ba with his injury record, no chairman would spend that much of their money on what could turn out to be a guy who sits in the physio room for years to come

Agree1 Disagree1

Shearer not motivated by money, are you mental? Newcastle threw millions back then, there were hundreds who were on huge wages, which is why you rarely spend money now, Michael Owen ring any bells? 100k a week to have his legs rubbed by the physio

Agree0 Disagree0

Erm shearer took the toon for every penny it had.. His contract had a clause written in it that no one could get paid more than him.. His salary was increased when new signings on more arrived..

Agree0 Disagree0

My point wasnt that he got paid nothing, my point as he could have earned more if he went to man utd...which he didnt, get off our page smb {Ed001's Note - not true, Newcastle were matching offers he got, what he was doing was choosing to stay with the club he loved over going to win trophies somewhere he didn't care about.}

Toon apparently looking at young centre back Craig Dawson currently at West Brom

Believable12 Unbelievable6

20 Jan 2012 13:49:51
Hey im back, in response to 'WelshToon'; sure with them of course the majority of you would know them, but honestly, did you ever know Assaidi or Martin? honestly? I just popped over to a clubs site that i respect, and gave my opinion on some players that i reckon would be good for Newcastle, and some of them Arsenal aswell, whats wrong with that?
Tbh with you mate, i havn't said anything hurtful or negative about you or Newcastle, you may have misunderstood what i was trying to say and i apologize, but when cockheads like you get all defensive and abbusive over nothing, its ridiculous and i dont care which site im on, i wont stand for it. I havn't come on here to act tough and be a sick c**t but i shouldnt have to put up with nonsense like that.
Also, as i was writing this, i thought of another good player haha:
Bojan (barring the fact that he just moved to roma 6 odd months ago)
If i had to pick 3 players to join Newcaslte and would be a good boost for the team, i would go for...
Assaidi
Bojan
Samba
What do you guys reckon?
Cheers,
Nick.

Believable5 Unbelievable6

Bojan has potential but has only shown it for 1 season so i'm not fully convinced he'll fulfill his expected promise....hasn't done much since moving to Italy. I cnt see NUFC moving for him as he'd be expensive, he's moved to roma too recently and we signed Papiss so now we are sorted for strikers

Agree2 Disagree1

Hmmm Samba, solid player but i think he should just move to PSG if he gets the chance....IMO he has been a good servant to a average B'burn team. Okay, he now wants to leave....but who wouldn't when it seems that the newish owners are clueless aboot football. Too pricey for NUFC considering we just spent 7-10mill on a striker

Agree3 Disagree2

Assaidi?....t Morrocan guy or do u mean Ansaldi the Argentine?

Agree1 Disagree0

Thought this was rumours not a wish list

Agree2 Disagree0

Good points nick, always welcome to voice ya opinion, its just that we get alot of mackems on here making up s**t and we dont know who is genuine and whos not, cheers

Agree1 Disagree0

Would like to see samba but wages would be problem weather get mbiwa young can play across back four

Agree2 Disagree0

Dont need samba, we have collocinni, williamson and taylor (only get samba in summer if collo wont sign a contract) but with our young players like Remmi Streete coming through just need a young cb to act as cover for now who cn develop over next couple seasons

Agree0 Disagree0

Williamson is awful...nuff said.

i have been newcastle traning ground and i saw alex the defender from chelsea hopefully this deal will go through

Believable6 Unbelievable16

It's rumours like these that make me more than agree with the clubs current transfer policy of buying young players, who are hungry for success and have their careers ahead of them.

Agree6 Disagree2

Is this the alex who is signing for qpr on 80k a week

Agree4 Disagree1

Am I showing how long Ive been a toon supporter if I say it was probably Alex Tate (winger)

Read in the sun today that there is no guarantee of demba ba being at the toon in feb. I cant see him leaving at all hes never had a relationship with fans at any clubs hes been to, and hes got a class relationship with the best fans in the world where is he is! money talks but we can only hope that he isnt too much of a money grabber! whats your views
ed? {Ed007's Note - Don't buy The S*n.}

Believable8 Unbelievable8

Really hope he doesnt go ed hes the predator we needed. i rate best but hes got to more or less be bang in front of goal to put one in!

Agree1 Disagree0

You mean the most arrogant fans in the world, just correcting you there

Agree2 Disagree10

Thats obvious because he's still be in Africa in Feb

Not a rumour and Im not in the know, just making an educated guess from past signings and things said by Pardew etc, I suspect Matthew Bates from Boro will be our new CB by the end of the window. He's out of contract in the summer and Boro are pretty financially screwed so would probs accept a low bid rather than lose him for free, giving Ash and co there value for money, not to mention good sell on profit. We all know Pardew was at the riverside recently, altho everyone suspected we were looking at Williams and he ticks all the boxes for age etc, plus hes quoted as saying he wants to be in the PL next yr, no guarantee of that with Boro, like i say not ITK just wouldnt suprise me in the slightest, anyone heard anything or seen this lad play? Apparantly he's having a hell of a season but not seen him personally :) pd

Heard that newcastle might be lookin at celtics victor wanyama as a fan of both clubs id like to see him stay at celtic for at leasst another 2 or 3 years then maybe move to newcastle with celtic gettin good money for him hes only 20 and is a great player already

Believable2 Unbelievable8

I've read in a few papers recently they've looked at him as potential replacement for Tiote if he goes, only papertalk as yet but i'm sure pardew was at Celtic recently

Agree3 Disagree5

This is probably to negotiate a deal to offload Forster.

Agree0 Disagree0

25m for tiote(c**p news from caughtoffside) by man city, pardew has stated there won't be any last transfers if we did sell him, 3.5m and lets say 1.5m for scouts, agents, travel etc, profit is 20m, we could bring 4 tiotes for that money. . . iToon

Believable5 Unbelievable5

I cant see city wanting him tbh, dont think hes good enough for there first XI and doubt he would want to go and sit on the bench for them, when he could play every game here, I would take there arm off for 20mil tho but ONLY if we had a better replacement already in place. Have to say Im starting to trust Ashley, I was a huge critic of him, thinkin he's bringing them in to sell them etc but with Cisse coming in, he's starting to change my mind, cant see him making money on Cisse after he's spent £10m on him so that surely must mean he's showing a bit of ambition for once and actually wants us to succeed.

Agree6 Disagree0

Agreed, you can easily replace that kind of player for 25mil, sissoko, m'villa, nigel de jong

Agree4 Disagree1

Would ben arfa and de jong play in the same team? and would any nufc fans want de jong at the club?

Agree4 Disagree0

I hate nigel de jong, why would we want that dirty scumbag, after what he did to ben arfa, i bet u anything if ben arfa was able to play last season, he would of been 1 one of the best players of the season, i hope that he can get a regular spot soon it, stupid pardew keeps bringing off the bench, such talent going to waste, it pisses me off when i dont see him in the starting line up, ben arfa is my favorite player in the whole world and i doubt he would play with trash like nigel de jong

Hope i get alot of agrees (^_^)

Agree6 Disagree2

Pays 10m for cisse means receive 18m for ba psg interested

Agree1 Disagree2

I agree with the above I'd be happy with de Jong plus cash for Tiote.

Agree0 Disagree3

I disagree with your sentiment about HBA hypothetically taking the league by storm last year if it wasn't for his injury...

only because Pards wouldn't have dared to drop Nolan or JB for him. Time for mr. pards to sack up, so to speak. he needs to build the team around mercurial talent, not the other way around. we very well could see him playing in someone elses colours by next season's start if pards still sees him as an "impact player" (ie a right disgrace) by this season's end. the injury was always just an excuse because either a) pards doesn't like him or b) they've had a bust up of some sort

Agree0 Disagree3

I love benny but he's a flair player ala Ginola ,beautiful technician of the game but can lose the ball quite a bit and dare i say it a tad selfish too. I think Pards wants to see more of team player and for him to adjust fully to the PL plus he's still getting back from an awfull injury.

Apparently we're trying yo agree terms with Sissoko as Lyon have accepted our bid. Sissoko want's a pay rise but Newcastle are only offering the same amount he earns at Lyon (not sure how much). I think if we wan't to move up to the next level we really could do with this Sissoko to replace Simpson who I feel is a hinderance on the side. Sissoko will be more direct, attacking and can get a decent cross in as well as being a far better player.
Lastly this isn't a rumour but does anyone else find whenever we play in a 3pm k/o and are not live we seem to get a poor result. Whereas 9/10 times we're live we win? Could do with 3 points against Fulham but I hate the 3pm Kick offs!

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Sissiko is a LB. He will play LB and Santon will play RB - Santon is a RB but can play with both feet.

Agree2 Disagree1

I watch em live every week man!

Agree5 Disagree1

His name is CISSOKHO ffs if your going to make it believable atleast spell his name right

Agree1 Disagree3

Me too and av never had so many poor results

Adam Johnston is at the Marriott in newcastle I work there. I start at work at 8. Just been told by the manager that he came in late last night with his agent.

Believable2 Unbelievable10

No way!!!!! he would never join, would cost over £12m and he would want crazy wages

Agree4 Disagree2

I tell you what if you believe all these rumours we would have a great squad, Johnston, Baines, Shaqiri, Cissokho, Boudebouz
I might aswell through in that I saw MESSI and Ronaldo playing 5 aside at the pits in gateshead. Pardew was watching them and I think he likes the look of them.

Agree5 Disagree2

Would be way too expensive

Agree3 Disagree0

Rubbish. The only position we are looking to fill now is at CB or a player who can play across the back. expect it to be Tomkins.

Agree2 Disagree1

It's Adam Johnson.

Agree3 Disagree3

Rumour is that he is so board with his lack of playing time at City that his agent has managed to negotiate a part time contract for some bar work in the Marriott to fill in some time. It was either this or go to Sunderland & Apparantly he's not that board yet & he gets to keep his tips!:)

Agree4 Disagree2

The same guy that has just signed a new 5 year contract with city

Agree1 Disagree3

If these rumours upset you that much don't read them.. Some people take them as red.. How'ya man it's called a RUMOUR site not a 100% wait till someone has signed site, where would the point be...it's a bit of fun and who cares, it's actually a good read and interesting to see which players fans would like to see..

Agree4 Disagree0

I love reading all the rumours good bad funny ridiculace, its what its all about .....good on you Ed {Ed017's Note - Thank you, but its you guys who make the page as good as it is.)

Pardew set to test the resolve of Paul Lambert with a cash plus player offer, thought to be Nile Ranger, fir striker Steve Morison.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Why Steve Morison?.. he is striker.... we have loads of them at disposal.

We even dont need LB or RB now.. this could be done in summer for cover.

Right now, priority is CB... which can be left exposed with injury to any one collo or willo..HOPE WE GET OVER THE LINE IN THIS WINDOW..ASHLEY SURPRISE US AGAIN.

Agree1 Disagree0

20 Jan 2012 00:17:53
Both Magpies and Black Cats to make 8m bid for Steve Morison- the figure known to activate his release clause.

Believable5 Unbelievable9

Two old and not good enough

What he said

Peter Lovenkrands - free
Alan Smith - free
fraser forster 2m celtic
xisco - 1m
nile ranger 2m
tamas kader free

will leave newcastle soon

Believable6 Unbelievable3

It'll be a miracle if we get £3 million for Xisco and Ranger.

Agree3 Disagree0

Doubt we will get a million for xisco and i thought there was a deal in place or possibly already done for forster .but even so getting rid of these players frees up the squad numbers/wage bill for more exciting/better quality players, happy days.still be happy when the window shuts though...del

Agree1 Disagree0

If they leave then Ranger will be £2m and Xisco would be £800k or so please someone

Agree0 Disagree0

Kadar? If he leaves, I'd be very surprised, and especially for free. He's been excellent in the reserves and fully expect him to make the step up next season.

Agree2 Disagree0

His contract is up at the end of the season that's why he is a free.

Agree2 Disagree0

Which club in right mind is going to pay 2m for ranger? no experience and troublemaker be lucky to get 500k
