cheik tiote going to arsenal,theo walcott coming to newcastle in swap deal plus 5 mill to toon,Edd u heard oot about this. {Ed026's Note - I've not heard anything at all about this. I don't see the benefit for Newcastle in a deal like that and Tiote has said on numerous occasions he loves the club and wants to stay. I don't see us forcing him out for that kind of deal.

He wont go to any London Club, He has said on many occasions that he doesnt like the City life style that London has to offer and he prefers the more local comforts that london cannot offer.

He still could move to a Team that are able to offer him the life style he wants but he has said he is very happy with the toon.

We all know how newcastle work and this deals take our eyes out... Big Mike isn't stupid

I think that would be a great deal for us if Walcott would be paid the same amount as Tiote. We already have a fantastic replacement for Cheick in Anita and Walcott would give us something different as I think we lack pace upfront. Don't get me wrong Cisse has good movement but he and Ba are not particually the quickest. Imagine us counter attacking with Be Arfa, Cisse and Walcott!

That would actually be a very effective and shroud move by us. After all we already has a fantastic replacement for Cheik in Anita who is actually a better footballer. IMO Walcotts best position is a striker, he was immense at Southampton as a youngster and he's shown at Arsenal what a great finisher he is when 1 on 1, he's even showed that against us a few times. Ba and Cisse are not the quickest and Walcot would definitely add something different as we don't really have a fast striker now. Imagine Ben Arfa, Cisse and Walcott on a counter attack!

To the above poster....How do you know Anita is abetter footballer than Tiote, what do you even mean? Do you mean Anita is better than Tiote, fullstop? Or Anita is more of a all round midfielder than Tiote? And your statement about Walcott confuses me as you say he should play in the middle (upfront) but how would he be playing in the middle if you put him upfront wit Cisse and Ba. Surely that would just end up with demba ba out left of ya front 3, Cisse in the middle and Walcott on the right of the front 3.

Heskey signing on a free this week,maybe in time for midweek europa game. {Ed026's Note - I'd have more chance of signing than Heskey and I'd probably be better.

I saw him in Sports Direct this morning.....he is working in returns.....apparently he is good at rejections

More chance of him hooking up with his ex gaffer at Sunderland. (Do not pawn him off on us)

Beresford seems to think that we WILL sign Pieters? I tend to agree as he solves 3 problems, left back, central defence and Simpson as it will allow Santon to switch over. I just hope the non signing of Debuchy does not affect Cabaye.

Santon cant play at rb, he might be right footed but he would be found out very quickly he only gets away with playing lb because the cover that guttierez provides, ben arfa doesnt cover at all, we need a solid rb that can hold his own debuchy isnt the only option, for me id like micah richards he hardly plays for city he can play at cb as well and hes still young enough to have good sell on value and if he plays regular than he wouldnt be too difficult ito handle

Santon plays RB for Italy U21's so cant be as bad as you reckon, and.....Micah Richards!! Have a word with yourself, a) he woudl cost more than we woudl pay b) his wages are higher than we woudl pay and c) he is out injured for 3 months. Oh yes and to top it off Simpson was on Talk Sport Saturday night to say he is not leaving so no new specialist right back will be brought in. It is a left back we really need so Jonas can do more going forward.

Santon is young and has all the ability to be a top full back. Look at Jose when he first came. Far to quick to right people off. Right back is our problem in the back for. Don't see why we don't play Perch there. Much better than Simpson.

Perch is no good at right back ,he got slated when he played there.He is much better in cb or dmf position. Simmo is fine ,wish people would give him a chance ,he's still young and was rated one of the top 3 rb last season by most pundits.

He cost us the goal on Saturday and constantly backs off his opponent. We all agree he tries his best but at the same time he isn't good enough if we are to push on. Perch is a right back by trade.

Perch finished the season as one of our best players (for his ability) at RB, do you not remember the Chelsea game?
Pieters is awful, you may as well burn the money. Would be far better off holding on for a better player than chucking it away on rubbish.

People who say Simpson is good need their heads checked and do not watch the toon games from the stadium. Coz if you did, youd see he has no ability, speed, positioning, etc etc. he says he's staying, coz nobody has come in for him!
