Ed, do you know when Pardew's next press conference is scheduled for? Just interested to see whether the sycophants ask difficult questions and if so what spin he puts on his answers

{Ed020's Note - Don't know, but can't wait to see what he has to say...puppet pardew}

Believable3 Unbelievable5

What does he need a press conference for? complete balls up by newcastle promised so much with all the big name strikers mentioned who were going to sign and as usual they have had weeks to sign one but end up with nothing. even everton managed to get a striker on loan and they have not got any money to spend.except the 10 mill for arteta which came to late. its about time the fat controller got his hand down for the next window in jan and and gets a top striker or put the club up for sale to some one who is willing to spend money not the measley sums he spends for crap players. looks like hba is going to be a sicknote player.of the strikers we have i cannot see one of them scoring 20 or 30 goals this season so get a grip in jan get rid of the rubbish dig deep and get decent players arsenal proved that yesterday on cock up and they go out and buy four quality players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bit harsh on hba there mate............ i think snapping yr leg is a pretty good reason for not playing!!

Agree0 Disagree0

With best's 2 in every three pl games he'll score about 25 goals this season. Lol. We'll be fine till January.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont really get the puppet line all the time about our manager. What do you expect him to say? That he hates the owner and he should sell the team and blah blah blah....

You don't see other managers slagging of their owners in the press (not keeping their job long if they do). So yes MA out! and he has told lies, fact! (using AP to do it) But the manager may feel just as let down as us. He doesn't bank role the team, his job is to keep the camp happy and get results. which would be very hard to do if he went off on the ownership.

So give him and the team your support and focus your anger at MA and DL.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats right ashley is to blame he could of got us a half decent striker but you got to remember you want big names who do u think we are man city we are gunna have to build again as we only got back in the prem 2 years ago

Agree0 Disagree0

Good old Newcastle promise things they can't provide.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stop saying he's a puppet, he is not. He triest to appease the fans by giving promises he could not keep.
That does not make the man a puppet. He's been saying "Mike needs to this, needs to do that, i'm nudging him all the time".
How does that make a man a puppet?
Stupid to say such things just cause u didn't get the 18 players u wanted. BAH.

Agree0 Disagree0

Puppet, puppet, puppet. Until he has the balls to say i was royaly f**ked over by lamearse and fat mike he is and will be fat mike's bitch. Good time to mention the casino thing again and the debt lamearse may or may not have over his head..

Agree0 Disagree0

Fans were promised ashley would inject all the money from carroll sale back into team, with players who have come and gone this summer we are up another £500,000 and we've lost 3 best players, so whats happened to this 35.5 million?

Agree0 Disagree0

What needs to happen is MA or DL need to address the Newcastle fans. Let AP get on with coaching the club and let the board answer for its own short comings. Stop hiding behind your manager.

If the ownership/board don't want to spend the money just come out and say so. The fans will be upset, but at least we won't feel lied too.

Agree0 Disagree0

On this site fans were constantly saying we had bids and would sell Tiote,Simpson,Coloccini,Krul it didnt happen,so either the fans were lying or the club must have said it wasn't selling.Similarly Brest, PSG, Sochaux,Lyon refused to sell their players.It is significant that not one of our much rumoured targets was transferred,this does tell its own story.
I'm sure in hindsight we wasted to much time on Erdnic but I hope DL will not be suckered by clubs using us to test the market as happened this time.

Agree0 Disagree0

We lost 1 best player JE. KN was finished and JB was looking for a way out.

Agree0 Disagree0

So right JB and KN were not good then? god so bitter, they have gone and now they crap, Nolan was your topscorer and barton was your player maker, I'm a mackem but even I thought they were 2 quality players, enrique was my favourite, top left back he was

Agree0 Disagree0

And last night Ed042 said 'get over the puppet complex' & 'just frustrates me when people call for the head of a bloke who is clearly imo doing a decent job.' Game of opinions Eh

Agree0 Disagree0

Calling our own manager a puppet... The sh*t supporters strike again... Best support in the EPL? give me a break, half our fans are moaning losers

Agree0 Disagree0

The best way out of this mess, is support the TEAM!! NOT the management, ie:- go to match, voice our concerns over fatman's polices, DONT buy any food or drink inside the stadium, DONT buy owt from his sports direct shops, the only way this bloke thinks is money, so lets stop spending our hard earned money, making him richer!!

Agree0 Disagree0

If Pardew is not a puppet then what is he. The sh*t supporters are the ones prepared to accept mediocrecy and the sh*te the Club shovels. The true fans deserve better - 46 years attending games - 35 as a season ticket holder. I have never been so low as under this crap regime. If they came out and spoke to the fans, explained what they are doing & where the club is going. The team that got us promoted needed improving. That has not happened.

{Ed042's Note - All due respect mate being a season ticket holder for over three decades, I do understand the frustration but surely you have witnessed and experienced much worse times than this. Although I have supported the club half the length of time you have I am fully aware of the past goings on at this club and this is far from the bottom of the barrel imho its not even the lowest of the low in my lifetime as a supporter, far from it in fact}

Agree0 Disagree0

Pardew said
"We will get a striker over the line, 100%, and that will be before the window shuts....It's not complete yet but by the 31st August it will be."

I believe that this was not a lie, he genuinely believed DL and MA would get it done...they have let him down and made him look like a fool, just like we foolishly stayed up till way past 11 believing, hoping etc.
I am disappointed that we didn't sign Darnel, never mind a striker, but I will never boycott a game, as whomever represents Newcastle United on the pitch will always get my support, even Perch :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Being a Newcastle fan and hearing that we bid around 10m for ruiz and cisse why the hell did we not get Bendtner on loan. He isn't the answer but he is better than most of our other options. To end up with nothing in the strikers department this window could cause us concern towards the Jan window. If we r in trouble of relegation do you think MA DL will get us players to try and stay up, i doubt it and hope that the boyz we have now keep us up this year.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pardew is just gullible, bit like us, he was told he'd get a striker, so he told everyone else (us). he'll get on with the job now he hasn't got it, still a good team which on paper should steer clear of relegation.
we've got nothing to do apart from support the team now, so lets just get behind them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Our overall squad is strong we just needed a fwd but we will be fine :)

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not Ben Arfa's fault Nigel Dejong almost ended his carrer.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Sep 2011 14:05:18
ed who do you fink is the bet striker for the toon to sign

{Ed020's Note - We are best waiting until Jan, do we really want another Kuqi?}

Believable2 Unbelievable3

James Beattie on his way, you can still get free transfers, he is worse than samaras! HAHA

Agree0 Disagree0

Any idea what the general consensus about not getting a striker in is from the squad ED? Are they worried or happy (lovenkrands as he's still needed for example) with it?

{Ed042's Note - You wouldnt know mate tbh, im sure certain heads are slightly disappointed but you can see with the likes of Best he knows it is now his chance to prove he is the man for the job, Demba Ba the same, criminal how some have written him off already, Ameobi and Lovenkrands know they will not be pushed right back down the pecking order either so it can be a motivator for strikers with something to prove.. the team spirit is very good and despite all reports to the contrary they are a close knit bunch that will get on with the job at hand and have confidence they can do well after such a good start.. even if there is disappointment among the ranks when Monday morning rolls around and your back on the training pitch getting ready for the next game thats where their focus will be.. I wouldnt be worried about player reaction tbh, we have done some very good business apart from the final day, if we can continue good form and pull out some results over the next month you will then have HBA coming back into it, if he stays fit and plays to potential the disappointment of not getting a striker will be long forgotten}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha ha ed what a load of b@@@@@@@. you really think this will motivate that shower of sh't yous call attackers. they'll just think yes another six months of wages for going through the motions excellent. SAFC
oh I know 1 - 0. live off this for a season wont you ha ha mad max

{Ed042's Note - Quiet down son, adults are talking}

Agree0 Disagree0

Just thinking ED.. what would you think of James Mcfadden being offered a pay as you play deal he's only 28 and got a point to prove when he's fully fit hes actually a very good player could easily get 10 goals a season, just think he would be worth a go perhaps even on trial for week or two see how he is just gives us more cover he can play in a few positions aswel.. Also Philip Degen on a pay as you play he's a really good defender never had a chance at liverpool because of injuries I do think with a decent run staying injury free he could easily make RB his own plus he's free also..

Beattie - No Thanks
Diouf - Hell no.! if he even gets considered my season ticket will be getting snapped =

{Ed042's Note - Think every player we have is as good if not better than McFadden tbh mate, would rather Pardew showed faith in the lads that we have.. as for Degen he`s beginning to catch up on Dyer in the injury prone stakes, was a decent player but again would rather see faith shown in Raylor, Simpson for RB}

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Sep 2011 13:59:06
Is Trezeguet still a free agent/? {Ed020's Note - no, signed for Baniyas}

Believable0 Unbelievable6

01 Sep 2011 13:58:24
el hadj diouf james beattie both free agents!?

Believable7 Unbelievable1

We have found the level.

Agree0 Disagree0

And both sh*te, should fit right in at newcastle then

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldnt Mind James Beattie at the Club, He is a Powerhouse and Great in the Air, Similar to Carroll. Anyways Sammy Ameobi cannot play without scoring, Time for him to get a chance but Ba and Best are First options with one dropping out for Ben Arfa when hes is back. Its not that bleak. We tried to sign strikers but we could not get them, What can you do.

Agree0 Disagree0

What can you do? Let's see, make bids closer to the asking price of the club who have the player in contract. Offer personal terms closer to the player's likely offers elsewhere. Bid well in advance of deadline day. Speak to agenst to see who is likely to move. Stop behaving like Esat End rag and bone men.

Oh, and don't lie.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ben arfa is a winger, not a striker.... and S Ameobi plays right wing too.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you a newcatle fan? when HBA signed he said his best position was an attacking midfielder playing through the middle, the reason why he kinda lost the label of being a world beater was because he was played out position on the wing at his previous club

Agree0 Disagree0

Be arfa can play off the striker we will just do what arsenal did with Henry when he singed

Agree0 Disagree0

Even I'd take a chance on Beattie! I know it's cheap and we were promised a striker, but unlike kuqi, he has proved he can do it in the prem.... I'm as annoyed as everyone else, but I reckon just giving him a 6 month deal would prove to be a good 6 month with his work rate... Speak to any Stoke fan, he ain't lazy!

Agree0 Disagree0

Beattie cudn't do it in scotland, he is far from his best now, past it, was good in his day though

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Sep 2011 13:38:20
surley alliadiere is worth a punt if he is still on a free transfer. what do people think, ed is he still on a free

{Ed020's Note - Hes up there with Titus, NO THANKS}

Believable0 Unbelievable5

Aliadiere has signed for Lorient of france if im not mistaken, he's defo signed a 1 year deal in france somewher

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Sep 2011 12:51:07
ed i am not so sure on this one..... is it true that even tho the window has closed, can teams still sign players who are on free transfers or are out of contract etc?? if so are there any decent players that may be worth a risk that u know of? im still hoping, a bit daft i know haha.
toon col {Ed020's Note - If they are on a free yes, Owen Hargreaves, for example, didn't HAVE to complete his move to city yesterday}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Cheers, hopefully something pops up eh. i dont blame pardew for any of this really, also he has just been charged for gobbing off at the ref at the derby game, good lad haha.
toon col

Agree0 Disagree0

James Mcfadden, Phillip Degen and El Hadji Diouf - they the most recognised free transfers available but if Diouf signs i will never set foot in St James Park again

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Sep 2011 10:21:26
James Beattie to come newcastle on a free.

Believable6 Unbelievable17

Hope not aint been any good since serious injury 4 years ago..

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Sep 2011 10:00:55
Ed did I see Daniel agger released from Liverpool last night..........??
Would he not be worth a punt??
Any links.........??

Believable5 Unbelievable8

It was Phillip Degen not Agger. As if we would release him!

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Sep 2011 12:27:17
Hey ed, if you see this, just wanted to say thanks for all the work you did monitoring and checking our 'rumors' can't wait till January. Adstatoon {Ed020's Note - No problemo, there was Ed042 he deserves a lot of credit too}

Believable3 Unbelievable1

01 Sep 2011 00:25:41
ed do you think it was us who bid 9m for jelavic from rangers,seems to fit into the timescale of being turned down by ruiz...del

{Ed042's Note - Maybe so mate, pure speculation though, dont know tbh}

Believable1 Unbelievable5

Thats what happens when you make last minute bids, happened in jan when you put a last minute bid for n'zogbia, just a big HAHA to the geordie's who said you were getting Bentdner! Stiffed again by Agent Ashley and Alan Pardwho

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, how come all Premier League clubs that needed a goal scorer got one except Newcastle? Teams that we will fight with in the league like West Bromwich now got both Odemwinge and Long. Fullham got Ruiz and Zamora. Sunderland got Gyan and Bendtner. What do we have? Ba, Best, Ameobi and Lovenkrands. Haha what a joke!

{Ed042's Note - No excuse for not getting a striker, but just to give you a different look on it.. more than likely our forward line wont be two of those four.. it will be Ben Arfa and one of them.. or Obertan and one of them.. Best and Ba are both capable of goals with supply.. its not as bad as people make out.. we all just know a top striker would have made us potentially much stronger than any of the sides you mentioned.. doesnt mean without one we are any worse.. in fact we have played two of the clubs you mentioned already and have taken 6 points off them}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi lads this is from a very old and trusted friend who works for fulham fc nufc were made aware of the fulham offer to riuz at 1700hrs including personal terms by his agent at 1830 they match the offer at this point fulham thought they had lost him at 1900 they made contact with agent about personal terms fulhams offer was 30ooo pounds aweek we told the agent our offer 25ooo euros a week about 23ooo pounds the agent would not even meet the chairman he turn it down without a meeting i dont think ever intended buying him it was just a scam OLD PRO

Agree0 Disagree0

The bid for jelavic was a last-ditch attempt from liverpool source: BBC sport

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed we may have taken 6 points off them, however this was before they bought strikers!

{Ed042's Note - But do you not see my point.. if we have Ben Arfa along with Best or Ba up front is that not as good if not better than all of them? As I said mate we should have got a striker no excuse for it but I dont consider us any worse off than direct competition.. think with the striker we could have afforded the luxury, without it I just think we`re a bit reliant on HBA staying fit, but if he does, we`re grand, both him and either Best or Ba will get into double figures imo}

Agree0 Disagree0

Was just wondering how long until Ben adds's gonna be fit? I had heard the fulham game, any news ed?

{Ed042's Note - Blackburn is the aim I think mate, due back on the 10th and he is doing fitness training before he comes back so should be near enough ready, another week or two after that and he`ll be playing}

Agree0 Disagree0

It was arsenal

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Sep 2011 00:55:04
very disappointed all i can think of is that pardew has seen something in demba ba that every newcastle fan hasnt seen but the only bit of good news is we have a left back finally and i can see a strikers role for ben arfa when he gets back to fitness he has all the abilities pacey skillfull intelligent creative and knows where the back of the net is aww well lets just see whats happens in january

Believable8 Unbelievable0

Nothing will happen in jan we never learn ashley wont buy anyone

Agree0 Disagree0

If you have a good manager,good coaches,good scouting system, what is the point of all this when them 2 tits cant bring in a striker (if at all they tried),every other club that wanted a striker got 1 apart from us. How do these people even get into st james without them getting chinned, Ashley you have had your chance now go or get lynched and take your peedo looking henchman with you

Agree0 Disagree0

It is so hard to believe that a club in such desperate need of goal scorers did not sign one. Can anyone really believe that Ba, Best, Ameobi and Lovensucker will do what is needed to get us into top 10? No we are instead left to fight for survival. What if we have one or even two of these championship level strikers that we have get injured? What will we do then Ed? Get down on our knees and pray?

{Ed042's Note - You think Ba and Best are Championship level strikers? Would disagree personally.. theyre no world beaters fair enough but their Premiership strikers.. and add to that forward line HBA, know there`s a question mark over him at the moment so its a hard argument to push but if he stays fit when he comes back we`re grand, purchase of a big striker would have just pushed us into top 10 easily, now it will be a bit harder, but wont be a relegation battler!}

Agree0 Disagree0

And the left back is right footed! Come on Ed what happened to all the signings you so called ITK kept promising ? XY and Z will be signed in 48 hours as you kept saying. This proves you just get your info from random sites and to be fair you really haven't got a clue who's coming and going.

{Ed042's Note - Right, same lad as the other post, let me put you firmly in your place. I have never once claimed to be ITK. I hear rumours or get asked to check them out through people posting here, do research, email people, translate foreign reports, trawl forums and basically do a hell of a lot, for free, to give any info I can get over... I never said X, Y or Z would be signing in 48 hours, not once.. If you want to take out your frustrations on me lad its fine, go right ahead, I am as gutted and as in as bad a mood as you probably are, more than welcome to try me today.. I will let you in on a little secret, nobody outside Charnley, Llambias, Ashley, Carver, Carr and Pardew are ITK, nobody.. everyone else just does their best and uses any contacts they know to try and get somewhat accurate information}

Agree0 Disagree0

This is a rumour site you idiot, all ed can do is weigh up information and think of the most likely candidate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Leave the Ed's alone . they was trying really hard to get info to us. I get your p****d off m8 so am i and every toon fan out there but it's pointless to get narky with people trying to help. Say sorry now.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Sep 2011 00:34:48
Ed - What do you know about the Nolan Roux rumour? Was there ever any contact, or was it just paper talk?

{Ed042's Note - President of Brest said this morning that the release clause and bid had to be followed up 5 days before the window or it wasnt going to happen, he was away on holiday from then so move wouldnt have been able to be done}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Well if M.A and D.L knew that ,that's gross incompetence on they're parts considering the crap we had to contend with over the Miaga deal. Every fool and his cat could see that deal wont gonna fly.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Sep 2011 00:21:22
Swansea sign Darnel Situ who was our planned CB cover! I thought this was a done deal weeks ago. Dont tell me - we had a fee accepted but failed to agree personal terms - that seems to be the current line

{Ed042's Note - Agent demanded release clause in the contract apparently, should be able to confirm in next few days}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

So where he going {Ed042's Note - Swansea}

Agree0 Disagree0

Signed for swansea on ssn

Agree0 Disagree0

First word on the original post genius.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed come on you really don't have a clue do you?

{Ed042's Note - I dont sign the contracts mate, thats what was reported, this lad didnt sign for Man Utd a couple of months ago because he wasnt going to be pushing for 1st team football, it was apparently a stumbling block with us too but was way more chance of it than at Utd, reason he came on trial and had contract talks, he`s not on good money so not going to be huge wage demands being a problem, but did request a release clause from what reports say, only thing I dont have a clue about is how much that fee was, obviously too low if we didnt agree to it, so off he went to Swansea who will probably guarantee him 1st team football a lot quicker than we could and probably give him the release clause too, just going off reports mate and the fact I have talked this lad up as a player for near on a month and have been aware of him for about two years, do research then give stick}

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Aug 2011 23:17:53
ed has anyone signed gignac yet and could he be signed on loan after the transfer window closes?

{Ed042's Note - No mate sorry, no loans allowed to Prem clubs}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

31 Aug 2011 23:56:51
thoroughly depressed, just like every other deadline day. just noticing that fulham are yet to confirm ruiz? or am i blind?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Twente has confirmed the deal. On ssn now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its confirmed, from what i heard he didnt turn up for meeting with nufc as he spoke to fulham 1st.

Agree0 Disagree0

Damm rite he didn't, you shouldn't put in last minute bids

Agree0 Disagree0

Though I am totally pleased with the players we have signed this summer, such as Santon, Cabaye, Ba, its the fact that we had the money and time to scout for a new forward to replace Carroll, yet again we have been lied to again and again and still we have no new forward. Bearing in mind that the African cup of nations will obv take its toll. HWTL

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Aug 2011 23:53:44
still nothing on ssn about ruiz signing for fulham

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Aug 2011 23:45:28
no where on ssn or fulham website does it say ruiz has singed?? just that his agent did not arrive at the arranged meeting point

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Was guna say that too

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Aug 2011 23:54:38
James Beattie has left rangers. Thinking we might get him on a free. Disaster

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Haha and you lot were saying we would get samaras
