According to a French web site Lille have rejected a bid of €6m plus add on's for Debuchy. Lille want €8m with no add on's, and Lille chairman is getting tired of #NUFC and is ready to cut all contact with us. Pls just give them the €8m. On a plus side it's the 1/8/12 and Ba's clause has run out and any intrest in him will result in a decent amount. Personally I'd value him at around £15-£20 million

Ba is probably valued at around 10 million if lucky, Considering the pin in his knee and his form during the 2nd half of the season i am not surprised some clubs didnt think he was worth 7.5.

I thought Ashley had a system whereby any transfer fees would be paid in full (i.e. he doesn't use add-ons). I am led to believe that it is only Newcaslte, Chelsea and Man City that deal like that nowadays. I imagine it's part of some system implemented to prevent any future debt (if he ever did want to sell, having no debt or players still to pay for makes for a much more attractive club)
So for this reason, I'm not so sure I wholly believe this French media story. That said, we were tipped to sign Debuchy Monday or Tuesday this week and now we're onto Wednesday and look no closer to getting him.

As a fellow mag its obviously he aint going as if no one wanted him for 7 million why would they pay 15 to 20 million but on a plus side if fletchers worth 15 million what does that make ba worth???

Lots of speculation around 2nite that Debuchy is in Newcastle this evening to finalise his move?? Any truth to these rumors? IMO Ba is by far a better player than Carroll and Fletcher and if thede players are valued that highly then Ba must be worth £60m
