Newcastle are close to agreeing a £7m fee for Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis. Get him in along with Remy, with a winger and a young defender

We might need more than 1 winger. Various sources (not overly credible ones though) are reporting that Liverpool are interested in Ben Arfa
He will be a good signing if we can get him over the line (a bit of sarcasm there.
Just heard a rumour is that talks with the player have stopped as couldn't agree terms and were poles apart from what he wanted and what we were prepared to pay
I don't think we will get him as the chronic are reporting we are his preffered destination (yawn ) my thoughts is its just a distraction from the bad press off cisse

Well with most of our targets gone i'd probably prefer gomis over gignac
I'd take him. Not a world beater and I'd have preferred us to show some ambition early on and actually pursue Bony or Aubameyang, but we didn't.
He still gets 10-15 goals consistently in France, so he wouldn't be a bad signing I guess. Nothing ambitious though. Remy would still be better if he doesn't go to jail.
