It's in Ashley hands if Andy Carroll moves to the toon. His goin to offer 15 million take it or leave it. Brendan from coach trip will snap Ashley hands off coz he wants Dempsey and Walcott. Ashley to win the fans over.

Believable5 Unbelievable4

So basically Liverpool will of paid 20million for an unproven strikers services for less than 18 months. Nice

Agree6 Disagree2

£20million for an 18month loan.! What a deal haha

Agree3 Disagree1

How can you say 'good times ahead' when, as yet, we've signed nobody?
Reminds me of a kid looking forward to Christmas Day, getting all excited about the presents he's going to get and finding out on the big day that all he's getting is a stocking with an orange in.

Agree1 Disagree2

15 Million is too much. 6 league goals in 18 months. Lets not get caught out here.

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree 10 million max

Breaking news boys. A johnson set for loan deal to Newcastle united!! Carroll will join up next week for 17m Ba heading the otherway for 7m.

Geordie Mick

Believable2 Unbelievable20

Why would ba go to Liverpool plus there notin cl so release clause wouldn't apply for BA

Agree7 Disagree1

Your 7 mil price sounds like you are linking the contract clause that Liverpool cannot activate as they are not in the Champions league. So find the rest of your rumour hard to believe.

Agree7 Disagree1

Ba gannin' nee where man! 'IF' you were a Geordie you would naa the release clause only applies to CL sides and 'IF' he were going the other way they would have to pay more than 7 million

Agree8 Disagree1

Cant see us paying part of carrolls 80k wages, so who wud we do the same for johnson??

Agree5 Disagree1

Why would ba leave when he has said numerous times he is happy at newcastle nd rumours are just that rumours

Agree2 Disagree1

Johnson would be a step further back than Andy Carrol. Anyone who remembers the piss takers of the Bellamy Dyer and the rest of the big time Charlie's era would be a fool to want that type of unproffesional attitude at the club.
Remember Cabayes comments about how the drink culture - even after defeats was something of a shock to him? Think he would be impressed if we had Carrol and Johnson out pissing it up week in week out?
We need to protect the team spirit not demolish it bringing in these type of players.

Agree10 Disagree2

What is your source? would love Johnson but dont want to lose Ba....

Agree2 Disagree4

We couldnt afford aj's wages

Agree0 Disagree2

Say Adam it could be Andrew

Agree0 Disagree1

Where's this from?

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a mackem!!

Agree1 Disagree4

Where do u get this info????????

Agree0 Disagree0

Sky and the northern echo today mentioned ba going to liverpool in the deal for ac so maybe the clause doesn't include cl sides what do you think ed also stated that liverpool were going to go for ba even before newcastle went for ac {Ed026's Note - putting two and two together and making 5 in my opinion. Ba very unlikely to leave for Liverpool, it would be a sideways/backwards step.

Agree0 Disagree0

Johnson is a bit expensive to be a subcover for Ben Arfa.

Agree0 Disagree0

Backwards step your having a laugh 1 good season and your a great side

Agree0 Disagree0

Well we did finish higher than Pool ,so yep at the moment we are.

ssport, Carol not want to move away from lpool on perm deal, leave him be and get two strikers that want to come quick, Ba rubbish for first month because of fasting and zapped energy levels, same could apply to Cisse this year ! think we need to improve options upfront

Believable4 Unbelievable3

I agree we do need another striker and I'd prefer Gameiro to Carrol.
The fact that Ba fasts for Ramadan did have an impact on his performances, but I can't see us getting two strikers in.
Shola is a good option to hold the ball up for the last minutes of a game but nowt much else.

Agree2 Disagree1

But whose going to score for the first month if both are zapped of energy, maybe that is part of Ba departure rumours all time, Sturrage ?

Agree0 Disagree1

The (apparent) 15 million is too much, a loan move with an option to buy is still our best bet IMO, seeing as Carroll will probably push for a loan move. Tbh, I think Obertan will come good, and he looked very handy last night against Monaco, made some decent runs, and only didn't score because of a bad decision on where to put the ball. But hey, it's pre-season, the guy has time to improve.

Agree2 Disagree4

Saying Ramadan effected Ba's performance's could be nothing more than coincidence, he stopped scoring at the end of the season, was he fasting then? yes he was out wide some of the time but still missed plenty chances

Agree0 Disagree3

Ramadan is now this year, finishes next week!

Agree0 Disagree1

No it doesn't, it starts next week

Agree1 Disagree0

Ramadam hasn't even started yet. Begins of the 20th this month.

carrolls not coming, think about it properly and you will work it out

Believable9 Unbelievable7

Whats that supposed to mean? Just tell us what you know that we dont.

Agree4 Disagree4

Care to elaborate??

Agree4 Disagree1

Two mackam posts above trying to stir s..t

Agree1 Disagree1

I've thought about it ... Nope. This post isn't doing anything for me.

Agree2 Disagree1

Why would we pay 15-20m for carroll and not de jong, why would we blow the wage structure for some one who will be 3rd choice, we put a cheeky loan bid it was rejected, get over it, plus ive read that liverpools owner doesnt want to do business with ashley again

Agree2 Disagree3

So you are saying this was just a bit of sport for Ash & co ! really .

went for a pint in the teams club last night and carrols dad was in there he is comein home that what he said cud take a week to sort thimg out

Believable5 Unbelievable10

That's why I come on this website. Some of the rumours are great. I was in the fruit and veg isle in asda and bumped into Andy carrols mam and she said that he was not coming home. There seems to be a little confusion in the Carroll house hold. Lol

Agree5 Disagree1

He doesnt drink in the teams club mate!

Agree2 Disagree0

Lets hope we dont get Carroll, we need a full back and two good central defenders, Carroll is a luixury we can ill afford, need the ball on the ground, if you want height a giraffe is a better bet

Agree5 Disagree2

I bumped into his godfather's, neighbours, 3rd cousins', best friend's milkman on Easter Island, he said Carroll may or may not come back, I think he may be right.

Agree8 Disagree3

We could have got most decent strikers for the money, Carroll needs to learn how to play first, football is not played up in the clouds now

Agree1 Disagree0

I can't believe someone actually disagreed with my Easter Island comment, what a moron. What's not to believe? I was tagging worms for scientific research, they were all wearing red and white surprisingly!

Agree1 Disagree1

Have you ever thought maybe someone pressed disagree by accident? Its easy enough to do on a touch screen.
