looking like its between newcastle and Villa but from what i've heard newcastle are looking strong favourites to sign him. Apparantly might be late next week because qpr are on pre season tour.

Chancel mbemba of anderlecht is apparently back in our list of targets, his move to athletico Madrid fell through. Newcastle apparently willing to offer around 18 million for mbemba and mitrovic in a deal. Anderlecht want upwards of €30 million (£21). Mbemba would add depth at cb and also provide cover at RB if janmaat is unavailable.

Coloccini is set to leave, Ashley feels his wage is excessive for a player past his peak. Also he will be replaced as captain. Should this move go through Douglas is being lined up to replace him. He was key under mcclaren at twente and if you believe the rumours he would have already been a Newcastle player if not for kinnear.
