Barton contract has a year and a half left, also he has stated he wants to end his career at the toon to thank tge club and fans for sticking by him. Nolan is defy not moving I no this for a fact he's staying and happy in Newcastle.

Don't think you'd get two of our best players for a measly 5mil when Barton alone is worth at least double that. Obviously I can't say undoubtedly "it's not true", but more than likely, it's not {ed's note -
isn't Barton's contract expiring though?}

Barton still have 1�? year left on his contract mate, it wouldn't make much sense to sell our best central midfielders for 5 million for which we couldnt get 1 decent replacement for either of those, keeping in mind that Nolan is also captain and that Barton simply is on fire. {ed's note - there were reports that Barton's contract was up in the summer, I think that is why people think he will be sold on the cheap.}

Radio City stating that that the imminant Pienaar departure to either Chelsea or Spurs will result in both Nolan and Barton being brought straight in as replacements.Nolan still has his house in Aigburth and wants to return whilst Barton has retained his property near the fiveways and has confided in close freinds that he is not settled on tyneside.EFC belive that both can be acquired for approx 5 million.

I can't really see this being true as Barton said after the Liverpool win he hopes and expects to spend the rest of his career at Newcastle and unless he's told otherwise, that's what he'll do. I'm not Nolan's biggest fan but his contribution last season can't be undermined, and we only bought him from Bolton for 4mil not two years ago. Don't think you'd get two of our best players for a measly 5mil when Barton alone is worth at least double that. Aiden McGeady was mentioned to me by one of the other editors as a likely signing because he wants to return to the UK. Apparently he is really unhappy in Russia and has had Newcastle sounded out because it is the closest Prem team to Scotland.}
