With in reason what forward would people like to see come in if any?

Id like to see Defoe as he scored 17 last season and only played about half a year, still would AC back black and white young powerful, I don't rate him from man city not we have plenty of pen takers, wouldn't mind going for Adam Johnson I know not a forward but think he would help ba and papa with his lightening legs. I reacon Campbell should get a shot at first team as well

Can some 1 please clarify something 4 me. Ba Tiote and Cisse who we will lose to the ACON, however I thought it was every 2 yrs, so how will we lose them in jan if the ACON was only played this Jan?? Confused :o(

No, no, no andy carroll rely, for one thing he wouldnt be happy sat on a bench and two we dont need disloyal players back.
Rhodes is too inexpereineced he needs a year with a lower team first, defoe far too old all he wants is a pay day and if hes not happy on a bench at spurs why would he come here, lukaku joined west brom which is a shame, long is overated, after that gudietti is a good player but he could have is pick of teams and city want him playing regularly

For me toivenen is a good bet, pretty cheap, good in the air and can play in midfeild aswell, remy would be nice but the was only in case we lost ba.
Theres no shortage of good value deals out there chamakh, gignac, berbatov, gamiero, borreillo and ndoye are available between 4 and 8 million

Senegal(Cisse and Ba's team ) play Ivory coast(Tiotes team) in a ACON qualifier .Who ever wins goes to the Acon ,therefor we will either lose Tiote or Cisse and Ba with Tiote the more likely due to Ivory coast being the better team. No, no, no Berbatov would want huge wages, same with Borreillo (he's on a fare wedge at Roma). Don't think we would pay Chamkh what he'd want wages wise...especially if we are only offereing some like Anita a max of 30k a wk. ndoye would be a good gamble if we could get him cheap. I'd like to see Clint Dempsey but i doubt Newcastle would buy someone of his Value/Age. Oh and a cheeky loan bid for Destro wit a view to buy if he can handle the Prem

I would like to See, Remy as my first choice but to be honest I have a good feeling about are young Striker Adam Campbell.

I think this lad looks a huge talent and if we didnt get Remy i think i would rather watch this youngster that actually loves Newcastle and has pride wearing the shirt other than another Striker who may not take the PL by storm.

Wasn't the best when we had him on loan but Guiseppe Rossi? I know hes injured currently but could come in on the cheap! Possibly Macheda on loan if united sign RVP, No proven goal scorer from a top league is going to come to sit on the bench so maybe Carr has another gem for us ?

Kevin Gameiro, Loic Remy and then John Guidetti in that order.Jordan rhodes would also be a great replacement for Best/ Lovenkrands.

I doubt we will get any big name. Personnaly i'd like to see Defoe or Sturridge but none will sit on bench. with Ba and Cisse as first choice pair, we have the Amiobi brothers and Ranger (ha). But we also have Maxeaur, Ben Arfa, Vuckic and the new guy Amlifituse who can play as a second striker/AM. plus I heard we are looking at Yacine Brahimi who is class and can play the second striker. I can't see us bringing in a big name striker.

I cannot believe i have read so many replies and not one good striker was named (Apart from the unrealistic Llorente)

I would like to see Jamie Mackie (QPR) at Newcastle as back up striker, He is electric and may not get games at QPR next season with them buying any striker available.

Man City want to sell John Guidetti, anyone else think we should be looking at him. Right age, bags of potential, seems to be a natural goal scorer and not available to play for any ACON tournaments.

Realistic target, in our price bracket, right age.....really no reason we shouldn't be in for him

rather 6mil on him than 8 on Ola Toivonen.

Very much agreed with you in every respect. He had a belting season in Holland last year (was it with Feyenoord?). He could fulfill his potential with us and make a name for himself.

But as others have said, it's all about the price. MA won't pay over the odds for anyone these days. Citeh have no obligation to sell and plenty of money to burn.

anita deal looks like collasping, hes agent claims that personal terms are way apart ashley only offering 30k a wk, which ajax have offerd him a new 60k contract to stay. looks like another person thats not going to sign. ashley needs to wake up cant sign top players and not offer um a good contract.

I've seen Anita play a couple of times on foreign TV. never stood out. we should save some money and take Olsson from blackburn for LB and LM (they say they don't want to sell but he wants to leave) and Anthony Annan on loan for DM and CM cover. Geordieexpat

I think pards hit this one on the head over the weekend. its agents that are pricing so many players out of the moves. especially in the pl with the likes of city and chelsea able to pay rediculous wages and fees. think every agent now sees the pl as one huge pay day rather than the best/most competitive league. tbh im not overy concerned about key signings, use our regular first teamers for the pl and let the fringe players have more of a role in the cups and europa. they stood up to be counted last season so i thik they deserve a good shot...

Ajax paying £60,000? I highly doubt they can afford that.

I regularly go to ajax from uk. Anita is a very very good holding mf a small lad but very clever player.

Ajax hasn't offered him 60k their wage upper limit is like 25-30k and its "their" ceiling he was talking about, he hasn't even discussed wages and personal terms with us yet. settle down people he will be with us by weeks end...

From what i understand (sorry no links) ajax have a 20 grand wage ceiling, think 60 grand for the dutch league is over the top anyway. Wages will be about bartering, so agents will leak stuff, clubs will leak stuff to try and get the best deal.

People these days dont care about football its classed as ur job so who ever offers the best deal ul go there all depends on the person. should sign debuchy he wants to play 4 us

Offer was 60k in euros,then tax after that leaves him 40k. his father has said he wants assurances of where pardew sees him playing in team there still in holland and hasnt flown to tyneside waiting for phone call. "fact"

£60k is the total wages for the whole ajax team
