Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse I read we have made an offer for Aliadiere...... A player that couldn't find a club 2 seasons ago !! I shouldn't among many thousands of our loyal supporters be surprised as this just underlines the current regimes commitment towards the real future of the club. I can only see us continuing to nose dive towards the championship. If Aliadiere is the quality of player we are going for to fill Ba's shoes then we shouldn't have got rid of Best and Lovenkrands !!

Believable7 Unbelievable7

I hate to say this but I think I have to agree with you! This to me is a joke of a signing. He has already played in England and proved he could not hack it! He does not fit into our current transfer policy either. I cannot believe he is a potential replacement for demba ba, what a joke. If he is fetched in as say best or lovenkrands replacement and we sign someone else then I don't see it being that much of an Issue if he is cheap, however surely odemwingie would be a better buy. at the end of the day we have papiss who is class and shola who to be fair looks less and less usefull with every game, ranger has blown His chances and the sooner xisco's contract expires the better.

Agree6 Disagree1

Why work yourself into a fury over alleged signings? we've signed one player so far Debuchy, surely you are happy with him?
Colo Rumoured to go but he hasn't as yet and Ba we had no choice
why not wait and see what happens?

Agree7 Disagree5

Couldn't have said it better myself. completely disheartening, a substantially more so than our relegation season.....this time everything has been self-inflicted and completely preventable

Agree6 Disagree5

Wait and see all this negativity its early days, balls to ahsley and co. Pardew doesnt want to be known as a rubbish manager, just as our players don't either. Yes we are not in a good place but what do you want ? Id take pardew and no money rather than some less able and still no money. Sod the board, get behind the team up the toon!

iow toon

Agree6 Disagree5

I'd be very surprised if we signed him. He's too old for Newcastle at 29 and has a poor goals-to-game ratio. Surely Pardew and his staff aren't looking to sign this guy. Don't believe everything you read.

Agree1 Disagree1

If Colo leaves during the january window it will be the most unprofessional thing i have seen from a captain of a team, yes he stayed with us when we went down but i think people forget the fee we paid for him, he owed a lot to the club from his first awful season for us, and as for aliadiere its all rumours until he is signed i don't believe a word of it and if he does totally agree with the above posts shows complete lack of ambition couldnt hack it for boro so why would he do any better for us same to be said for maiga can't get in west hams team yet we still seem to be linked with him, don't know what to make of tomkins never thought he was anything special but i could and hopefully am wrong

Agree4 Disagree0

Just seen pardew in asda picking 11 tatties must be today starting line up, haway the lads

Agree3 Disagree0

Man city tryin to sign collo cos the cleaner lost her mop that's all he's good for the mop head, what a traitortrade

Agree1 Disagree5

I wouldn't worry it's all talk, if you haven't worked it out by now from all the previous windows, is that we only sign one first team player per window and a couple young ones.
We've signed our player and nothing else will come in.
Forget the stuff Pardew spouts - its the same every window and has no effect on the outcome - I think he has no say in transfers and does what's he's told

Agree1 Disagree1

Phew! Lorient manager said he's not for sale!

Agree3 Disagree0

Coloccini? A traitor? Are you off your head?
If he wants to go back to Argentina it's hardly traitorous, if it's because of personal issues in his life then it's hardly being a traitor, there are things more important than football.

Agree7 Disagree2

Yes getting away from your relationship in Cramlington, is more important than football

Agree0 Disagree0

So Colo is a traitor is he. There is nothing more important in life than your family. If his heart is elsewhere then his head won't be on the job in any case, as his performances have shown recently. The club should consider giving him a short leave of absence after the next 3 must win games which, hopefully by then Taylor will be back and another CB signed, and then see where we go from there. Colo has always given his best for the team and I'm sure this whole business is tearing him apart.

If Collo goes this window who should replace him both as Captain and in the Squad?
I think we need a top and experienced CB anyway but if Collo does go we need 2 IMO.

New skipper, STaylor? Cabaye?

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Krul/Cabaye
Mirin

Agree2 Disagree1

Surely Pardew would make Jonas skipper saying he's vice atm... However if colo goes, I can imagine he will soon follow !
Cabaye has to be next in line having been vice skipper at Lille.

Agree2 Disagree2

Jonas will probably be captain if Colo leaves.

Agree2 Disagree3

Might be good for tiote, he's a leader and he'd have no choice but to control himself more

Agree2 Disagree5

It'll be Jonas, even though he shouldn't be in the starting XI. My choice would be Krul. Been here for ages and is loved by the fans. Strikes me as a true pro and a good leader

Agree5 Disagree3

WE need someone to galvanise the squad, someone who bleeds black and white to be club captain, only one person at the club for me....its got to be Steven Taylor

Jakey

Agree3 Disagree4

I hope colo does not leave. But of he does we need one really experienced cb along with the one we need anyway. If he does go I would say cabaye would be a great captain

Agree3 Disagree1

I have to say that STaylor is the one player that would run through brick walls for the club. He gives 100% every game and that in my mind is the main attributes of any captain. An honest and loyal player and one worthy of the arm band.

Agree4 Disagree4

He's worthy in merit but he's poor in condition. The last 3 years he has missed significant time. I want my captain to have a history of fitness. And if this colo stuff isnt fodder, we need 2 CB's.

Agree4 Disagree1

The same Steven Taylor who thought he was too good for the club and wanted paid a fortune a few seasons back. Not a chance

Has to be cabaye for me,

Agree4 Disagree0

Steven taylor as captain . . . . . .he only plays 10 times a season

Agree3 Disagree1

Cabaye for me!

Agree2 Disagree1

I think shola will and should be made captain when he plays (i know he's not the best but he's a loyal servant to the club and would give anything for us like reject his only chance at an international competition), and behind him jonas/saylor/cabaye. I've never felt a keeper is a good captain he just doesn't have enough time in a game to speak or rally the players

Agree1 Disagree2

Is this the same Steven Taylor who gave 100% when he was veryundecisive about signing a new contract not so long ago. Steven Taylor shouldn't even get in the mackems reserve team never mind our starting 11.

ed is this collo news just another reappearance of that same news from weeks ago and the summer or is it looking like he's looking to get out cos Pardew upset him by saying he' {Ed001's Note - I can't find anyone to back up the story, they all seem to think it is regurgitated, so I am going to take their word for it.}

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Cheers ed much appreciated

Agree2 Disagree1

BBC reporting he wants out now apparently.

Agree2 Disagree0

But if he just signed a 4 year contract, surely we don't have to let him go at all?

Agree0 Disagree1

The BBC are saying that he is wanting to leave due to "a crisis in his personal life" but he hasn't submitted an official transfer request yet and the club are trying to talk him into staying. He's also travelling with the squad to Norwich for the game so he'll probably play.

Cabaye is in talks with spurs and arsenal over a possible move.

graham

Believable5 Unbelievable3

What a load ov rubbish he will be going no where in this window

Agree11 Disagree2

Absolute nonsense.

Agree11 Disagree2

Looks like the kids are in early from school ... his best mates just signed for us and he wants to leave i think not ...geordie tom

Agree9 Disagree1

When debuchy has just signed to play at the same club

dont talk rubbish

Agree7 Disagree1

When debuchy his best pal has just signed for us makes loads of sense person

Agree7 Disagree1

Very much doubt it after he's being injured for months!

Agree5 Disagree0

Yeah cos he is gona bet his best mate to sign then leave in same window person

Agree5 Disagree0

Yeah convince debuchy to move then leave must be the worst best friends ever!!!

Agree4 Disagree0

Unlikely after the signing of debuchy. why would he be so integral to halping debuchy sign if he was wanting out? niktoon

Agree4 Disagree0

Rubbish. no he is not. besides if he was to move it would be another £35 mill move. he has a decent contract and his best mates have just moved up to Tyne for his morale.

Agree3 Disagree0

Also, Debuchy has just signed. .......Wasn't sure if anyone had mentioned it.

Agree2 Disagree1

If colo does go i reckon Cabaye will be next club captain

Apparently Ashleys put forward a funds pot for 10 new players, I hope to god this is true fans...

Believable6 Unbelievable14

It's not April 1st is it...? Had to check when I read this.

Agree7 Disagree1

Aye 10 players between now and sept m8 i read the same article ...geordie tom

Agree2 Disagree2

Where can I read the article?

Agree0 Disagree1

Its on the newcastle blog m8 ... geordie tom

Agree0 Disagree0

10 new players between now and September would be great if we get the 3/4 we need this window, that's 6 signings in the summer!

Agree2 Disagree2

If you read it properly the 10 players are not just 1st team players but for the development squad too so don't get too excited, it will be probably be 1 1st team and 9 kids to replace the dross they will let go in June.
Of course should we go down we can look forward to plenty of 1st team players coming in to replace Cabaye, Cisse, Krull, Marveaux, Jonas, Collo (if he is still there), Anita, Obertan, Debuchy and Santon.

Agree1 Disagree0

The ten players are for an overhaul of the development team youngsters not first teamers

Agree0 Disagree0

10 players? Sounds like a rehash of an old "tobacconist" joke

Agree1 Disagree0

Its to replace our very average kids not 10 1st teamers!

Colo wants out. His representative have flown to Newcastle saying he wants to leave and return to San Lorenzo for "personal reasons"
The report is also saying he wants out now and will not even play on Saturday. If we don't get 2 CBs and a striker, although the CBs are now a priority, it will show whether Ashley cares about the club or profits (although we can probably guess which) because it's not Pardew's fault if he doesn't want to spend his money, all he can do is try and convince him to spend.

Believable12 Unbelievable5

He has to spend or we go down and will lose HBA santon cisse cabaye

gutted :( Ashley has to go now

Agree5 Disagree5

Radio Newcastle saying Rumours of Colo handing in transfer request are untrue and he will play at Norwich so god knows what the bloody hells going on......

Agree3 Disagree4

I know a lot of people hate Ashley me aswell. The best thing he's done for is sorting out our debt and making us financialy solid, in my eyes we need a owner that knows the ins and outs of football and that really wants to make a successful club. What we don't need is a business man that really just thinks about making a profit, has nobody noticed this guy is all about making money rather then spending it. Look he bought shares in rangers, I have never heard of owner would rather buy shares of another club then improve the one he owns.

Agree4 Disagree3

When you say Ashley has to go, what do you mean exactly? As that would be someone telling me to give up my business which I own and have paid for? Which businesses minded person would do that? Ashley OWNS the football club, he is not going anywhere unless someone offers him enough money.....which I can't see happening at the moment. I wouldn't be so quick to wish him away, as alternatives are not always what they are framed up to be......ask Portsmouth fans

Agree7 Disagree3

If he does want to go for what ever reasons, it should of been kept quiet till we worked on a replacement ! Next 3 games massive, what a time for your so called skipper to dump that on us ! I would tell him no ! Talk in summer ! It's about time the club decides who comes and goes and when !

Agree2 Disagree2

If his mind is on getting out Pardew won't want to risk playing him. I can see this being Unlucky 13 for pardew tomorrow 4-0 Norwich

Agree1 Disagree4

I guess people would of been happy if uber rich Indians had come in like Venky's, promising to transform the club, which they did spectacularly. Ashley may not be everyone's cup of tea, but he certainly knows how to run a business, which unfortunately is what football is. He certainly won't want the club going down, as it would be detrimental to his business plan. The problem with transferring big names in is the wage problem. You can't upset the apple cart throwing massive wages to an unproven player, when current stars have sweated for the club under the proposal of a salary cap set by the club, that would be mayhem and an end to squad unity. In June most people accepted that this was a great business model and we were moving in the right direction, 2 signings short in the summer and a horrendous injury run, and suddenly you'd think we were about to be relegated into the Blue Square Premier. Please, can we all just show a little faith, and be patient, these are the people who brought us Tiote, Cabaye, HBA & Cisse.

Colo has travelled for Ncfc game

Agree0 Disagree0

Talk of Fabricio Coloccini leaving to play for San Lorenzo, however, San Lorenzo has said they do not have the financial backing to buy out coloccini, they said he would have to do it himself.

However didnt he just sign a new big contract? so he would have to folk out a huge sum, unless a team bid alot of money for him, any thoughts?

Believable4 Unbelievable3

He has 3 years left so unless they can meet the asking price he may not leave but I'm not sure how it works

Agree2 Disagree2

He can always do a tevez

Agree4 Disagree0

I think he cab buy out his contract when 2 years into it, so he'll be able to buy it out in a year. right now we will get a transfer fee.

Agree2 Disagree1

My favorite headline lately is "San Lorenzo wants the deal sorted out quickly", My question is "what deal"? i mean they don't have $10 bucks between them, they can't afford him, maybe the solution is to offer him to other clubs in that area (so he can be closer to his sick wife) and try and at least make some of our money back to chip in for a replacement....
SAGEORDIE OUT.....
