what is the latest on us chasing Remy, Anita any other players and are we still after Debuchy?

Don't know about Debuchy or Remy but Anita has reportedly turned down a lucrative contract extension with Ajax and we've tabled an 8 million euro bid

Fee agreed for anita

Toon agreed fee for anita who will have medical on mon according to skysports

Apparantly bid accepted for Anita, and he will under go a medical on Monday

Sky sports says we have agreed fee of 6 million for anita happy days

Newcastle Utd are NOT the Premiership club to have a bid accepted for Loic Remy, its Tottenham. Tottenham have decided to move in for him after they were priced out of a move for Leandro Damiao.

Anita looks either Newcastle or Milan bound after rejecting their new contract offer.

Expect Newcaslte to try and get a good striker on the cheap but if that fails they will move for Andy Carroll very late in the window.

Anita wants to play in England so i think that gives us the Edge.

Tottenham ended interest in Remy a while ago. either this rumour isn't true or Newcastle have had the offer accepted

S...t hit the fan and how anyone in football can't see that the teams we are putting out are void of ideas and skill it is beyond me.
Our pre season form has been pathetic and today just proved it
This team despite all the accolades and shouting how good we are will be struggling from the off which is next week Ashley if you have not noticed

So how do u reckon last pre-season was? Way, way better right?

people like you need too hav a word with yaself,nufc is the most stable and hav the best squad they have had in a very very long time,add 2 players too wot we hav n thats one ov the best squads in the pl,not many signings at any club at the min so dont panic!

It's pre-season. It's about fitness, not great football.

How can you expect anyone to play great football and give every member in the squad gametime?

The season starts next weekend and we'll have our best players back playing regularly but we still have to use our squad. That's our challenge this season.

We knew we needed players last January and as for the best squad in th pl get herself back to fantasy football because you have no idea about reality football
If we get a couple of defenders in yes we have a chance without them we will fall by the wayside

Fair enough it's obvious we need to strengthen the side but it's the same starting 11 that bonded over the last 15 months or so.

Get real and support the team! Pre season means nothing hell we lost 6-1 to leyton orient and went on to win the championship. Judge our performances on competitive matches.

Last seasons pre season was no better and we know what happened then. Have some positivity the season has not started and you are b!tch!ng aleady

At the end of the day, pre-season is used to get fitness levels up. its about getting game time for the fringe players and finding the right balance within the squad. the result means f all, its all about honing fitness...

What about a striker Ed? What if Senegal qualifies ACON, what will we do then?? {Ed026's Note - There are still rumours about Remy but I don't see another striker coming in this window, perhaps in January. As for Anita, apparently his wage demands exceed the ceiling in place, but he may still sign.
