Hi ED'S

hope you are all well and enjoying this season!

with summer looming and the excitement building, are there any main targets Newcastle have in their sights for a potential ST

nunez?
tony?
Hugo Ekitike?

{Ed002's Note - My understanding from talking to the scout in Germany is that it is something like this:
Duvan Zapata (S) Atalanta are open to a sale - Newcastle have enquired. The problem the club will face will be persuading the player that the project is good enough for him to join. Want some sort of “get out” clause, but something may be possible.
Hugo Ekitike (F) Versatile forward has done well in the few months playing in Ligue 1 but nothing like enough to earn a step up two the Premier League. It is unclear who recommended him to Newcastle but they will offer well over the odds to sign him in January. West Ham have sent scouts. This could go horribly wrong as it is a significant step up - but I suspect something may well be possible for Newcastle.
Taiwo Awoniyi (S) Newcastle has an interest. Of interest to Southampton and Newcastle. aught by the WHU scattergun as well. Again, something may be possible for Newcastle.
Andrea Belotti (S) of Torino is out of contract in the summer and will move elsewhere, regardless of the interest of Newcastle.
Anthony Martial (F) Was offered to Newcastle. Seems unlikely.
Patrik Schick (S) Bayer Leverkusen do not wish to sell but know the interest of Manchester City, Spurs, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus could see the price rise significantly. Interestingly, whilst all have a declared interest, none have him as their first choice. West Ham and Manchester United have both sent scouts to watch him although seem unlikely destinations. Newcastle's scout in Germany has added him to the lengthy list he is creating. It is very unlikely that he would be interested in a move to Newcastle.
Gaetan Laborde (S) Newcastle keen but he only joined Rennes in the summer and they will not want to sell.
Youssef En-Nesyri (S) Arsenal, West Ham and Newcastle have approaches to ask about availability and price for the player who is inconsistent. Makes little sense.
Bamba Dieng (S) Availability of the player was asked about by Newcastle during discussions over another player. I suspect interest has moved on.
Gianluca Scamacca (S) Milan and Juventus interest is sustained and Paratici may well have taken his prior interest to Spurs as a viable alternative if they are to lose Harry Kane. Inter, if they were to lose Martinez, could look to him. Newcastle and Fiorentina have both been scouting the player but neither have a realistic chance of signing him.
Darwin Nunez (S) Newcastle have enquired but there is no chance of him making such a move.}
