Routledge is no.53 I've seen pics {Ed008's Note - I think the reason he's been given 53 is because he's most likely on the move to a club and giving away his previous number 10 to a first team player is the right option.

David Vaughan (not the Norwich Vaughan) would be an excellent signing. He was Blackpools players, player of the year. Rumour doing the rounds at the minute is Berbatov interested in hooking up with Jol at Fulham when he is told his not needed at MUFC. Now, Pards you have said you were interested in him. I would not normally be supportive of bringing in a player like Berbatov but Berba is a massive Newcastle fan so i would like to see him come in.

Agree with all of that. I'm unsure on Simpson too but would say another LB is a priority over replacing him due to Enrique's impending departure.

Definitely need a quality striker, Berba would be class but I just don't see it happening - we're not that lucky If not Berba or any of the French league strikers we keep being linked with, I would like to see Shane Long. He fits the bill in being young with low wages but has looked solid for Reading. We could do a lot worse (Carlton Cole for one)

Come on guys, let's see a couple more players come in, have a decent pre-season and start strong.
