Alan Smith Will go to leeds united for freeor a fee
of 500k

Am a mcu person but i would like to see him go to leeds

Believable7 Unbelievable11

This is the move that just never seems to happen.... would be nice to see. but its just i have heard it a thousand times.

Agree0 Disagree0

Smith is another typical footballer, he could have joined Leeds in the summer for free and played regular football but no he decided with his greedy head to take a year out on top wages at the Toon, GREEDY B*****D!!!!!!!!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

How/why would it happen? in fairness I was told that Newcastle wanted a fee for him Leeds wanted a loan then nufc demanded 1m contribution towards wages for a year. If he really wanted to return he should negotiate settlement of contract and go but perhaps loan would give him chance to prove himself then Leeds or another team would be more willing to take a more permanent decision on him. Just saying...but yes it's like Santa discussed every yr never happens argh!!

BREAKING NEWS:
Chris Smalling is set to join Newcastle United on loan as Steven taylor is ruled out for the season. He is set to join on a 1 month loan deal until a target can be signed in January.

Believable12 Unbelievable47

Where have you seen this?

Agree0 Disagree0

Im a Newcastle supporter and season ticket holder but thats Ridiculous he's needed at Man Utd, the only one that actually might be available is Evans but a wouldnt want him

Agree0 Disagree0

Premier League clubs CANNOT sign players on either a permanent or loan basis outside a transfer window unless the player is out of contract. i am not aware that Man Utd have cancelled Smalling's contract.

Agree0 Disagree0

Another idiotic rumour from someone who obviously doesn't know or understand when the transfer and loan window opens. As if Man U would let Smalling leave on loan anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not so daft as u might think. Well, maybe his target, Smalling, is, but if an application was approved for emergency buy by FA, then we'd be allowed to bring someone in for CB. But as Ed has stated on a previous thread, the CB position isn't as specialized as perhaps a GK, so i doubt the app would go through.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree if we do get approved the only defender i think we could get is evans and i wouldnt really want him but hes got to be better then a right back playing center half i was also think djourou from arsenal as he isnt get much of a look in in there squad Chris the toon

Agree0 Disagree0

Bring back sol

Agree0 Disagree0

Lots of injuries at man utd smalling going nowhere

ED, I was just wondering if since we have 0 first team centre backs now after the injuries to colo and saylor along with the current 1 to williamson, would we be able to make 1 or 2 emergancy loan move like man city did a couple of seasons back when they lost their first team keepers? Its just a though but surely would be worth a try, what you think? {Ed001's Note - I believe that a request will be made by the club to do so, the problem is that a centre back is not seen as such a specialised position as keeper is. The likeliest option will be to play players out of position or bring up youth players to the first team until January.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Im no 1 fan newcastle team in malaysia,i like the team to qualify to euro nextseason, thats mean ashley should buy Alex, aimar and joe cole.the three senior player who can change the game fast.

Agree0 Disagree0

And where would Aimar and Joe Cole play? forget weve got Ben Arfa who is similar to both and also weve got Vuckic who is coming through.. Plus Joe Coles on a season long loan so wont happen in Jan.. Bigger teams than us will want Alex and why would he even want to come to us lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Hate to hear what the 2nd biggest fan in Malaysia's ideas are......

Agree0 Disagree0

To the fan in Malaysia... Good for you that you chose Newcastle mate, most true NUFC supporters welcome fans from around the world as it means that the club is growing globally... Hope to see you a St. James park someday in the future, perhaps when Alex have joined? ;o)
