Don't believe the chronicle that we've ended interest in Arouna Kone already. In fact, our 3 main striker targets are still Bony (Swansea still haven't wrapped up signing), Remy and Kone. We will sign 2 of those 3

Believable0 Unbelievable12

People sayiing a Lot of what is going to happen when it is not
Stop making excuses for these amatures running this club they are not worth it
Remy Bent Kone or Bony will all be elsewhere next season

Agree6 Disagree2

Its all talk and no action by the club. fridays here and JK promised a big signing but none in sight.
Now he's off on his holiday. must be hard doing a weeks work in a job then going off on holiday!

We have ended our interest on Kone already. That didn't take long. Guess that massive £5 million price tag put Ashley off. Get Remy in and be done with it. Desperate times ahead.

Believable9 Unbelievable4

At least we saw some sense there and didn't go for someone who got relegated - just the type of player we need. not
cant see any signings being made and all this is a ploy by MA

Agree3 Disagree2

Why Remy? He spurned Newcastle last time for the QPR money - just another mercenary like Bent.

Agree4 Disagree3

After signing a 16 year old and losing out on most targets I can us being relegated. With bony if Swansea and west ham can agree a fee then why can't we

Agree3 Disagree2

According to late night sports desk in Liverpool NUFC bid £4. 75m for Kone when Everton had already bid £5m to trigger the release clause in his contract. Kone's agent thought that the deal with Newcastle might be better for his client but it wasn't. in fact it was worse. End of.

Agree5 Disagree1

Sick of hearing this money grabbing tag for Remy. All footballers go to who pays the most at least he didn't try to hide it. He proved he can play in the PL. Get him in.

Agree4 Disagree4

What a strange comment. Lots of good players get relegated. They hardly take the team down on their own!!

Newcastle United have completed the signing of teenage midfielder Olivier Kemen.

The 16-year-old France Under-17 international has joined from Metz.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

I hope he's not the signing that kinnear promised will be signed by this friday

Agree2 Disagree1

Is this the major signing before Friday. JoeKin has 30 hours to back his mouth with a major signing before Friday

Agree3 Disagree0

And been given permission to speak to kone from Wigan. Yes mr kin near, amazing signings to get us in the top 9. Of the championship. Kone prob going to Everton anyway.

Agree2 Disagree0

So is this the signing JK promised by Friday!

Agree2 Disagree1

Great :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Wow yawn, that's really going to help us avoid relegation,

Agree3 Disagree0

Probably another rash and untrue comment from JK.
Hope for the best, expect nothing.

Why suddenly are we going for players around 29? I thought we had a transfer policy of under 25 or 26. Ed have you actually heard any good potential transfer news?

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Person pardew bleating on about experience needed to cover his shocking tactics

Agree1 Disagree0

One minute we are in for a 24 year old top striker in Europe and now it looks like we want 29 year olds with only a couple of seasons left in them. What's going on? Someone needs to get their finger out before all the best players that are available go to other teams.

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed's are as confused as we are about what is going on.

Agree2 Disagree0

Too late.

Apparently we are going to bid for James McCarthy this week in preparation for Cabayes imminent exit to PSG. He's a class act and has all the attributes to be better than Cabaye. Works for everyone IMO. Sell Cabaye for £20million and bring in McCarthy for £15million. If he can add goals to his game he will be one of the best CMs in the league.

Believable2 Unbelievable9

Where have you heard that we are bidding 4 james Mcarthy.! (Spelling) don't get me wrong he's a very good player. But I fear this is another made up rumour.! Nowt wrong with dreaming though. :-)

Agree4 Disagree1

Would be a very good buy don't think he's worth £15 million though

Agree0 Disagree2

Strange how Wigan went down when they have all these highly rated players.

I hope we stay well clear of pillaging relegated clubs, there is normally a good reason squads go down.

Agree2 Disagree1

I totally agree, but 15 million for a relegated player? Not worth it.

Agree1 Disagree1

Better than Cabeye. Your entitled to an opinion but not a chance has he potential to better than Cabeye. We won't know what have lost in Cabeye until he goes.

Agree5 Disagree1

Mccarthy 15m get real and when has he ever been able to play killer through balls like cabs?

Agree0 Disagree1

Well whose putting big price tags on cabaye and others, we were not far off relegation, cabaye overated, and lucky he don't get booked more for his sneaky little kicks

Agree2 Disagree2

Both rubbish players. Just got another French player again. Why? Why?

Bid accepted for wigan striker kone!

Believable6 Unbelievable6

This a blatant attempt by Kone's agent to get a better deal at Everton. The payer will go to Everton. just see.

Agree4 Disagree3

A bid hasn't been accepted. we have been given permission to speak to him. and that's all. We haven't talked money with Wigan, and knowing us, we would offer 3mil anyway. knowing Everton have offered his buy out of 5mil. Then out will come Pardew saying we tried but just couldn't get it over the line. I am getting deja-vu of last summers market.

Agree2 Disagree4

I think this is just ashleys and jfk's attempt to say well look we tried we bid for players knowing fine well they won't come he will choose everton like you say

Agree3 Disagree1

We have met the £5 mill release clause and are allowed to speak to him. he did enjoy working under martinez but we have a fellow countryman in tiote. maybe that could be the swinger?! I like Kone, hope he signs

Agree0 Disagree3

Hes coming and so is nakki wells bent will go to fulham though don't be surprised if we make a bid for jones from stoke

Agree3 Disagree3

Should pick Newcastle if all the crack on here last month is right with Newcastle being a better team than everton

Agree1 Disagree4

Liverpool echo tonight says that Kone is due at Everton for "further talks" tomorrow.
