Rumours that Llambias was in Argentina, looking at two youngsters.

... how on earth would this rumour come about, sure they are in france talking with lille

Officially left holland yesterday so thats some travelling if he now in argentina! is it even possible timewise?

Doubt it considering he just left holland after allegedly trying to sign de jong and douglas

Makes sense considering Debuchy isn't announcing if he'll leave Lille or not until the end of the week and it shouldn't take long to sign two youth players

It came from a variety of good sources, and graham carr was reported in argentina and mexico in february. they have spent a fortune on sending the scouting lads to south america since keegan left using reports from the same guy steve bruce previously used.

I read it aswell it said he went to Argentina last week but Llambias wouldn't go over there to watch players he does the negotiating.

Prem league to physical for most south american players we have been there done that and they where no that good......

We certainly need an injection of 'young blood' into the second string to bolster the numbers as we have let quite a few go.

Good sources being this mornings journal? why do people come on here claiming they have good sources when they are just reading the same news as the rest of us?

For some, sorry look at the likes of Aguero and tevez, winning the prem league.

Thought man city won the league! not 2 players! plus tevez wasnt there for most of the season!

Ed any news on Fc Twente target Douglas, reports seem to be very mixed. Some saying he will have to stay till august because of citizenship issues while others saying there are to many agents involved on his behalf {Ed001's Note - I don't know what is happening with him, so many different people making claims about him have left me confused. It seems to me that an agent is looking to get him a move, rather than he is in the midst of making one. Does that make sense?}

The usual answers are in the facts, if he waits till 1st august he will qualify to play for holland so he is keeping his options open. It will increase his value more if he just waits a few more weeks so Im guessing this is stalling any move away. {Ed001's Note - ah, now that changes everything. Getting an EU passport would open so many doors for him.}

It seems that the Russians have now entered discussions with FC Twente so we may not even get Douglas.

I thought he had to wait until the end of August not the 1st.

ED, is it possible that Newcastle are still in talks or even agreed a fee with twente od luuk de jong, even though it has been talked about in the papers that we have cooled our interest? {Ed022's Note - No news yet mate.}

Journal this morning stated that another premier league club have offered 11 million pounds that was refused but to our advantage we pay cash....i would like clint dempsey if he was cheap enough i know he,s to old for our structure but still has a couple of years in him and is physical and can score....k

Why too old? youth league or premier?

Heard we're going to wrap up the signings of Debuchy and Douglas in the coming days, u heard anything about this Ed?
Debuchy wont start training for a bit though as he has an extended break from after the Euro's.
And no idea what Douglas will do coz he has to live in Holland till August to be eligible to play for the national team. {Ed022's Note - Nothing mate.}
