Ed, anything in the pipeline for a striker coming in tomorrow? Any news on Bony/PEA/RVW? NorthantsMag {Ed001's Note - it is not looking like anything will happen tomorrow in terms of ins, as things stand.}

Believable3 Unbelievable2

I'm not sure. I think if a target is in danger i.e a bid from another club e.g Norwich bid for RVW then I think we will become active. I can't see use throwing all that scouting work down the drain. (So pull your fingers out Norwich).

Vitesse Arnhem striker Wilfried Bony, who is rumoured to be a target for Newcastle, could be on the move in the next two hours according to his agent.

"In two days I will be looking to complete a deal. In the last three to five days [of the transfer window] there are always more clubs worrying, " Francis Kacou tells Voetbal International

The 24-year-old, who has scored 33 league goals since the start of 2012, is currently on duty with Ivory Coast

Snap him up quick!

Agree4 Disagree0

Sounds like his agent trying to drum up last minute interest to me. He will still be playing for vitesse come feb 1st. Hopefully I'm wrong and he signs for us. Can't see it though.

Agree9 Disagree0

No chane - he is in Africa so logistics of club medicals etc in under 24 hours would be impossible

Agree5 Disagree2

We dealt with medicals etc with Cisse so why not Bony. Chances are that if a deal is agreed we'll wate til he comes back from ACON and does the medicals before it's finalised

Agree1 Disagree4

The player that we need to play in left side of the three forward is dries mertens and will get goal and create chance for cisse.

Toon jegz

Agree3 Disagree0

Ivory match finished today must get a rest bite,, so give a medical out there and don't forget to take a pen !!!!

Agree1 Disagree1

You can do deals 'subject to medical'

Agree2 Disagree2

Wouldn't mind the club going for adam le fondre he's been impressing me this year and think he would be extremely good with cisse

Agree1 Disagree4

We signed Cisse when he was in Africa last season. . Still, I don't see us signing a high profile striker this Jan!

Newcastle are close to a deal with lille for striker nolan roux
An offer of 12 million euro's has been accepted and roux will travel to tyneside tonight and undergo a medical tomorrow before signing a 5 and a half year deal

Believable2 Unbelievable13

Where do people get theses rumours from. I've checked the French football websites.....nothing there to suggest anything at all.

Agree7 Disagree1

Nah, not a chance; we were interested in this lad but that was last year before we signed Cisse - he went to Lille and I cannot see him moving on again so soon.
Geordiesteve

Agree7 Disagree1

He only signed for Lille last Jan, although he fits the mould of the type of player Ashley goes after, I can't see this one coming off, we should rather get Bafetemi Gomis on the cheap as his contract runs out in the summer

Agree3 Disagree1

I know people like to get carried away and fill there selves with hope, but common, we have brought in 5 players we will NOT be buying anyone else. When was the last time we made a smash and grab on deadline day? I would like another striker to help cisse but it just won't happen.

Agree3 Disagree1

Nolan Roux is nowhere near the quality of players like RVW or Bony and to pay 12 mil euros there is 0 chance of this happening

Agree3 Disagree0

Why don't we go for danny graham worth a chance and he is a geordie

Agree1 Disagree1

12M euros, wake up Ashley has just bought 5 duds for that kind of money, he won't spent that amount on 1 player

I see we are being linked with the Ajax captain again Siem de Jong, any truth in this?

Believable6 Unbelievable3

Doubt the captain of Ajax will leave half way through a season.... you never know though

Agree4 Disagree1

This rumour's already done the rounds most websites etc are saying that any move will be left until the summer

Agree3 Disagree0

Hes not french so impossible

Pardew's happy with what he's picked up in January. He would have liked another striker, but has been told to wait until Summer to have a go at getting Carroll back

Believable7 Unbelievable11

Forget Carroll. His best days were with us. My opinion, let's get Jozy Altidore who's 23 and lighting up Holland

Agree8 Disagree8

And who has already played in the premiership for hull scoring 1 in 28 no thank you

Agree11 Disagree1

Not sure who?? but need we need a striker, have not replaced Ba yet even with all the decent signings, still only cisse who i'm still not sure about, loosers ball to easy and ball comes straight back at us,

Agree2 Disagree0

1 in 28 is admittedly rubbish, but in a league that has provided great striking talent consistently over the years, 15 goals 10 games is an unbelievable rate.

Agree0 Disagree3

Jozy Altidore is one of the worst players to have graced the premier league! Like a young Shola.

Agree4 Disagree1

Carroll's been injured or not managed properly since he left us. Get him back to Newcastle (where he wants to be) with Pardew managing and he'll show us his best again. he's still young.

Agree2 Disagree4

Why so many people want Carroll back is beyond me. He is not that good, his attitudes off the pitch is not good and he is nowhere near the striker he was. Cisse will come good when he gets the service he was getting last year, which hasn't happened this year, plus he has played out on the right for most of the year!

Agree4 Disagree0

What Andy Carol the championship striker ?

Agree0 Disagree1

Is that Alan pardew who has relegated 3 teams out of the 4 he has managed ?

Agree1 Disagree1

No he has had one relegation actually
