Newcastle to go back in for melvut erdinc in January, after his apps fall short for Psg.

How about Fernando Torres, Andy Carroll, David Luiz, Luis Suarez, Tuncay (I know he was pants for Middlesborough, but he was class in Turkey, and decent at Stoke). These are all players who moved on the 31st January this year. There are loads more good players in the Jan transfer window too.

Yeah, i reckon even if we don't have this "war chest" we may still try get a striker on loan... As even MA must surely understand thst if we finish higher up the table, he gets more money?

Agreed! ruiz perfect example, match Fulhams bid then offer him nowt in wages. Then come out and say "we tried but everything was against us"

Why are you even bothering discussing Melvut Erdinc when he's just been transferred to Rennes? All just daft.

They are not overpriced in january if they are in the last year of their contract, quite the contrary

Guys I have some info on the whole Bryan Ruiz deal that finally went through for Fulham on deadline day. Try and follow this:

Fulham's no1 transfer target was Andre Pierre Gignac from Marseille. A loan deal had been agreed between the 2 clubs but Marseille would only have signed it off if they completed the signing of Amauri.

While this was all going on they had bid for Bryan Ruiz as a back up but preferred the Gignac deal as it did not involve a large fee.

Newcastle then came in and matched Fulham's bid for Ruiz but in the same half hour that this happened Amauri turned down Marseille, Marseille cancelled the deal for Gignac, therefore Fulham held talks with Ruiz.

This possibly explains why it took Ruiz so long to sign for Fulham.

Basically what I am trying to say is if Fulham had secured Gignac earlier on Wednesday, the chances are we would have signed Ruiz, unless we only bid because we panicked and new he was in Fulham already?

Doesn't matter he didn't come and gignac almost came to sunderland in a swap with gyan so ruiz would of went to fulham anyway.

Your a little misinformed there aswell, we held 'talks' with Ruiz but personal terms weren't agreed.

Nufc never even made an approach for ruiz it was more lies from nufc!!!

We didnt hold talks that was rubbish he didnt turn up for the fake meeting.. we wer never even in for him it was all just to make us fans think they wer trying and his agent was using it to get a better deal..

The Ruiz bid was exactly the same as the N'Zogbia bid in January. A total nothing bid to try and fool fans into thinking that they actually made an effort. "well we tried but unfortunately he wouldn't accept peanuts to play".
