Newcastle to go back in for melvut erdinc in January, after his apps fall short for Psg.

Believable4 Unbelievable14

Sorry but no decent players are going to be available in January. Clubs just won't sell in the middle of a season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice, a fortune teller :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Face facts mate shola just signed a two year deal hes the best we can hope for to keep us up now and in jan...... thats what the board must think anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

NO.we got young best, phil airey, sammy and obertan at front,no need star players.we need is new rb n cb to cover simmy, steven n colo.

Agree0 Disagree0

When are people going to.learn, as a window opens all these rumours will start and nothing will happen get used to it

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope not wasted too much time waiting on him and Miaga last time.

Agree0 Disagree0

At least Maiga said he wanted to come, Erdinc never once indicated a desire to come to Newcastle so he can shove it

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont start all this cr.p again

Agree0 Disagree0

'Sorry but no decent players are going to be available in January. Clubs just won't sell in the middle of a season.'

How about Fernando Torres, Andy Carroll, David Luiz, Luis Suarez, Tuncay (I know he was pants for Middlesborough, but he was class in Turkey, and decent at Stoke). These are all players who moved on the 31st January this year. There are loads more good players in the Jan transfer window too.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, i reckon even if we don't have this "war chest" we may still try get a striker on loan... As even MA must surely understand thst if we finish higher up the table, he gets more money?

Agree0 Disagree0

Erdinc got transferred to Rennes for €8m

Agree0 Disagree0

Please don't waste all the window chasing players who don't want to come

Agree0 Disagree0

It goes like this...the people in charge at newcastle go for players they no they are not going to get and they put in bids they no are not going to be accepted or they wait til the last second and pretended they tried. Then all the fans believe they actually have/had a chance of getting these players, they play you like a flute and your happy to fall for it over and over like a abused wife.

And were all massively over priced! (apart from Suarez). can you really see us paying over the odds in january?..... Because I can't.

Agreed! ruiz perfect example, match Fulhams bid then offer him nowt in wages. Then come out and say "we tried but everything was against us"

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are people obsessed with this fella. Forget him. He doesnt want to come. Cisse and Maiga are better players anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are you even bothering discussing Melvut Erdinc when he's just been transferred to Rennes? All just daft.

Agree0 Disagree0

They are not overpriced in january if they are in the last year of their contract, quite the contrary

Draw a quick list of free agents:
Erixon Danso - 17 apps, 1 goal, 22 years old.
Darko Bodul - 38 apps, 3 goals, 22 years old.
Jonathan Reis - 48 apps, 12 goals, 22 years old.
Zlatan Musimovic - 257 apps, 63 goals, 30 years old.
Habib Bamogo - 323 apps, 56 goals, 29 years old.
Anicet Andrianantenaina -0 apps, 0 goals, 21 years old.

My preference would be Jonathan Reis, had a decent season last year and has bags of potential.

Believable10 Unbelievable4

WHY oh WHY, do we want a player thats not better than what we've got?! It COMPLETELY defeats the purpose.
We are nowhere NEAR short in the strike department, we lack a no. 9 for goodness sake.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jonathan Reis had a terrible injury and won't be back until at least feb. next year

Agree0 Disagree0

James McFadden - apps 297, goals 64. Age 28.

Jonathan Reis would defo be worth looking at!

Geo

Agree0 Disagree0

Very interesting ,good research there m8.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha just had a look at Jonathan Reis biography. Has a serious knee injury and sidelined for 6 months, just been tested for taking illegal substances (that is why PSV terminated his contract). If he signs for anyone PSV will start a lawsuit against him for compensation. Also his Serbian agent is apparently a nightmare!

Sounds like a great prospect!

Geo

Agree0 Disagree0

Who did reis play for?

Agree0 Disagree0

PSV pay attention .

Agree0 Disagree0

Joy Oh Joy - FREE transfers. What have we sunk to

Agree0 Disagree0

What about the infamous el hadj diouf?? Worth a punt on a free? Knows the prem and has pace. Only downfall is attitude??

Agree0 Disagree0

Diouf? i'd rather bring bank marcelino and boumsong. add luque to that list if you will.

Agree0 Disagree0

In fact, disco des hamiltonn, i'd have him back as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

None of the names mentioned are as good as the players we already have.

Agree0 Disagree0

El Hadj Diuof? are you for real? after Barton, Bowyer, Bramble, Dyer, Woodgate and their baggage and talent for getting into trouble, and these are just off the top of my head why would we want a horrible little specimen like Diouf?
I wouldn't care if he was the next Pele clubs really should have a look at some of the people they employ beyond their talent of playing keepy ups with a football, would you give the horrible tw@t a job?

Agree0 Disagree0

Face it you will get dioufy or beattie.haha

Agree0 Disagree0

We could get DIOUF'S kids and beat your shower, you SMB

Agree0 Disagree0

There is a reason that they are free agents. They all have worse records than Shola. And as for Beatie.... No thanks.

Guys I have some info on the whole Bryan Ruiz deal that finally went through for Fulham on deadline day. Try and follow this:

Fulham's no1 transfer target was Andre Pierre Gignac from Marseille. A loan deal had been agreed between the 2 clubs but Marseille would only have signed it off if they completed the signing of Amauri.

While this was all going on they had bid for Bryan Ruiz as a back up but preferred the Gignac deal as it did not involve a large fee.

Newcastle then came in and matched Fulham's bid for Ruiz but in the same half hour that this happened Amauri turned down Marseille, Marseille cancelled the deal for Gignac, therefore Fulham held talks with Ruiz.

This possibly explains why it took Ruiz so long to sign for Fulham.

Basically what I am trying to say is if Fulham had secured Gignac earlier on Wednesday, the chances are we would have signed Ruiz, unless we only bid because we panicked and new he was in Fulham already?

Geo

Believable6 Unbelievable3

Doesn't matter he didn't come and gignac almost came to sunderland in a swap with gyan so ruiz would of went to fulham anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

So what ? we had all summer to sign a striker

Agree0 Disagree0

Your a little misinformed there aswell, we held 'talks' with Ruiz but personal terms weren't agreed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nufc never even made an approach for ruiz it was more lies from nufc!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

We didnt hold talks that was rubbish he didnt turn up for the fake meeting.. we wer never even in for him it was all just to make us fans think they wer trying and his agent was using it to get a better deal..

Agree0 Disagree0

At long last some decent comments from people who know the club are full of lies!

Agree0 Disagree0

The classic part of it was sky's David Craig saying Twente's chairman has just phoned me to say they've accepted a bid from nufc, oh really? and why would he have your phone number? you two faced weasel you may act as a stooge for MA in your old pals act but don't think we're all as gullible as you

Agree0 Disagree0

The key right now is, hope pardew think the suitable tactics and position for all new players, if the players can make a game together, im sure this team can go better than last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

The Ruiz bid was exactly the same as the N'Zogbia bid in January. A total nothing bid to try and fool fans into thinking that they actually made an effort. "well we tried but unfortunately he wouldn't accept peanuts to play".
