Gomis deal is dead in the water not just because his club want more money but also because Gomis, according to his agent, has had second thoughts about moving to Newcastle. Joe Kinnear has advised Ashley to pull out of the deal and look to secure the player when his contract expires. Remy is the next target, no surprises there but a number of other clubs have asked about Remy, including Arsenal. Remy wants to stay in London.
Kinnear, despite Pardew saying the Toon only want 2 strikers, has indicated that the club need a left winger and a centre half. Media sources claim that Newcastle made a formal enquiry to Liverpool for Stewart, available for £4 million. Cling Hill is a short term solution as centre half on a free from QPR. Understand that Bardsley remains a possible target

Sounds like a load of rubbish! Reckon you're a mackem spouting doom and gloom.

Stewart downing and clint hill?clint hill is a clogger and highly unlikely to be wanted by us
Agree2

What a different story coming for the player who is apparently furious about the state of the move and is very interested in moving to Newcastle. Also they is absolutely no interest in Bardsley from us.
Agree5

I don't support Newcastle but even I can tell he's a mackem, Downing and Clint Hill?. Even Joe Kinnear isn't that stupid.

The gomis deal will still happen newcastle playin hard ball and the player is in control not Lyon. They risk losing him for free if they hold out too long
Believable3
Unbelievable4
Other clubs will sign him
The worrying thing is Shola, Guffy, Cisse & Vuckc will lead the strikers and non of them are capable if 20 goals
Also some people forget we still have Obertans and Williamson who will appear this season as will Shola. Says it all really.
Can see a few players that we call good wanting out this Circus by January
Agree4
Disagree2
Cisse is more than capable of 20 goals in a season. Go look up his stats.
Agree0
Disagree2
Cisse scored 22 goals in the 10/11 season, 22 in the 11/12 season. Last season was a bad season for his standards, and he didn't play upfront from the start of last season, which knocked his confidence. We should never have given that merc Ba the top position at the start of last season.

Without ba we would of gone down

Hi. I put it on here last week that ashley had an offer on the table for the club. no new players till he decides if he is going to take it or not. that's what the hold up is he won't spend if he is selling
Believable2
Unbelievable6
If that's true why bring jokinear in as director of nothing! Ashley's not spending because he's tight fisted

Hope your right

Told you before Ashley is not involved with anything at the club at the moment that's why he gave joe the job Ashley is involved with a big deal involving sports direct
Agree1
Disagree1
Is Ashley still pumping his own money into the club? let's review, last year NUFC turned a profit, this year they will have tons of cash from sponsorship deals, TV rights and general running of the business.
Ashley doesn't need to fund transfers out of his own pocket, why would it matter even if he was considering selling the club?

Believable6

Theyll have to hurry - Remy to West Ham on loan ( to be announced this week) and Bent to Fulham (they are inetrested again as the other target fell through)
At the rate were going we'll end up signing Nile Ranger again!
Agree3

Is there anything in these rumours that Remy was staying at The Hilton last night?
Agree2

No revelations there then mate, don't be shocked when nakki wells name goes public too though he's been on the radar since bradfords cup run

Newcastle have ended talks over gomis according to reports in france. What a surprise. Oh well at least there's other descent quality targets. Bony, PEA, Van Wolfswinkel. oh hang on. Dammit.
Qball
Believable7
Unbelievable2
The whole club is a shambles, playing hardball again.
what do we expect to pay for a quality striker!
most clubs are paying 10-12m. we won't bid over 7m last year of contract or not.
we are a laughing stock. that's my finish until these idots bugger off
Toonlol

Good, they were taking the proverbial with their demands for a 27 year old with 1 year left on his contract.
We could essentially offer him good wage and get him for free in a year.
We should move on to Remy and forget about Gomis.
Agree4
Disagree4
We are right not to be held to ransom for Gomis. This time next year can get him for free.
Get Remy and a left winger and we will be good for the season.
Agree4
Disagree6
Lyon were being stupid with their demands we were probably right to back out. There's still Remy who might happen, and everyone seems to have forgotten about Brown Ideye who wants to come to Newcastle and looks a decent player too.
Agree3
Disagree4
Cumming from a club that values kabaye at 25m u can say nowt about prices. get him for free next year who says he even wants to go to your club anyway, another day and another big laugh for us lol cheers boys
Agree4
Disagree5
What do you mean get him for free next year? We will be outbid next year on wages etc by bigger, ambitious clubs like southampton, Cardiff, Norwich, Swansea!!! GET OUT ASHLEY PLEASE.
Agree3
Disagree1
Oh my god. Open your eyes. Lyon are playing hard ball with Newcastle because they know they can. This whole situation has been caused by penny pinching, and these clubs now know how desperate Newcastle are for strikers. The players will as well so even if a bid gets accepted the wage demands will be ramped up.8mill for a 12-15mill rated player is not that unreasonable considering the position we're in at the moment. Remy will stay in London (west ham) and bents wage demands will be too high. No one through the door until January.
Agree2
Disagree1
He said he wanted to come. We are trying for top strikers and you are buying Altidore. That makes me laugh alot.
Agree1
Disagree1
Q) "who says he even wants to go to your club anyway"
a) he did
Cabaye is worth £25 million and the main difference between our valuation and Lyon's is Cabaye isn't in the last year of his contract. Anyway how many of your players are worth £25 million? Your entire team combined, maybe.
Agree2
Disagree2
Their whole team is no where near £25 million.
Agree1

Play hardball over the cost of your season ticket. Start unrealistic claim to pay 40% increase to 60% and lose interest see how they like it.
Agree0
Disagree0
Is it just me or do loads of our so called "supporters" not have a clue about anything to do with football never mind transfer dealings.
Too right we should not be made to or even willing to pay over the odds for any player. Yes top players are worth £10mil plus but we as a team are not at level yet. We need to be qualifying for Europe every year before we can go throwing money like that around.

Been speaking to Mick McGivern's brother and Mick rates this kid as one of the best at Chelsea, but can't get into the first team because of the big named players
Good signing I would think
