the young bognor regis lad jason priors goal record= 95 in 121 games

upto 26th december he has scored 28 goals in 30 games

scored in 9 consecutive games from october til 6th december totalling 15 goals in that period

look at the goals per game stat and surely this lad warrants the look AP having when he on trial next week!.....spenny mag

Believable14 Unbelievable2

And remember even liverpool looking at a lad from none league fleetwood! or at least they were til he chose swansea {Ed001's Note - he was from the Irish league, not Fleetwood.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Remember when QPR gave a non league player with the name les ferdinand a chance

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you fat ashleys son? defending his way of not spending money sells us down the river every window and a little bit of news of witch is true fatty wants the money of the sale of krul trust me and ben arfa hates it up here and that has come from andy carroll be4 he left 4 liverpool i was working at nolans house

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh and i was working at enriques house and Ben Arfa loves the Bigg Market and Messi wants to come and sample geordie hospitality and as for working at Andy Carrolls house? Go spread your S**t on your own page you muckem tramp!

Agree0 Disagree0

Nolans house by the way

Agree0 Disagree0

I agreed.give prior a chance to proove,if he is better than Best, why not?then he'll become club legend as alan shearer is..IM no one fan in Malaysia

How are things on the striker front Ed? Will we really not get a striker this window? None of us wants to believe it, is there any indication of this might being a smoke screen of some sort?
I really do think we desperatly need that striker tbh. {Ed001's Note - it is strange, after spending all that time trying to sign one, then to come out and say one won't be signed. It has gone very quiet on the striker front, so maybe Pardew was just being honest. Though a lot of people are sceptical and think the club are just hoping to reduce prices. There is no evidence around, that I can find, that a move is afoot for a striker, but only time will tell, after all, if one becomes available very cheap, I doubt Newcastle would pass up the chance to sign him. One they are interested in, I mean.}

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Cheap? ed have you seen the potential transfer fee for prior and hes a striker! smalling recentley and ian wright in the past have made the big step up from that level and look at them so this guy could be anything! scoring record fantastic so lets just hope Carr hooked a good one again! got a good recent record for getting players under the radar so we never know till this guy gets his trial!.....spenny mag

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought this was a joke ,hasn't he just signed for another club?

Agree0 Disagree0

No, it's very much true mate, he's on trial with us now, confirmed by his club president.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep was gonna sign for a club with ambition Eastleigh (in southampton) untill fat bloke decided 2 get his cheque book out big spender and pardew the yes man

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you think he would be playing in non-league at his age 24,if he was any good? There must be 50 teams in profesional football in the south of the country and no-one has picked him up? Spenny mag you get excited at the most pathetic things. You supported Toon more than 2 seasons??

Agree0 Disagree0

Stuart Pearce mate... he got picked up at around the same age... some people slip through the net or do not reach their potential until they are older. Pardew was another, barnes etc etc.

ToonAl

Agree0 Disagree0

Any1 on here remember last time we had no strikers and we played rob lee up front? we need a striker 4 sure BUT fatty is so greedy as long as we stay up that will do ashley fat lump of @@@@

Apparently there's a striker named Emmanuel Mayuka who wants to join us. The lad has got great pace and good technical skills.
He's young, comes from the swiss club Young Boys, so he'd be low on wages and not command too high a fee.
Has a good injury record aswell.
Looks great on YouTube, but don't they all ;) In all fairness, he's got some flair that one.
A good target for the summer.

Believable11 Unbelievable2

Definetly looks awesome on you tube, doesn't have that bad a goal to game ratio for such a young guy aswell, something like 47 in 110 games according to wiki in his whole prof career. Only went to young boys for 1.7m so with a cheap bid we would maybe get him!! (What do you think Ed)

Agree0 Disagree0

"NO STRIKERS COMING IN JAN " what part of that do you not get you numpty

Agree0 Disagree0

If you read the full post instead of jumping the gun, you'll see that they post about being a good target in the summer "numpty" -toondan

GK - Krul

RB - Simpson
CB - Vertonghen
CB - Coloccini
LB - Cissoko

RM - Hoilett
CM - Cabaye
CM - Tiote
LM - Jonas

ST - BA
ST - Ben Arfa

Subs; Harper, williamson, santon, sa.ameobi,Best, Vuckic, Sh.ameobi

Believable7 Unbelievable16

Would love Hoilett however blackburn are demanding £18m and no way will Cashely spend that much, and that is quite a lot considering he is on a free in the summer. and i can see all the big teams after him when he's going on a free as he will be a good squad player for them

Agree0 Disagree0

GREAT POST! Would however play Santon RB instead of Simpson, If we would get these three players in (BIG WISH LIKE) I think our team is destined for europe.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ne raylor in the squad is a bit suspect

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree santon has to play

Agree0 Disagree0

Not one English man in team... Gone are the days when starting XI was English and qualified for Europe..

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be a good team, but the chances of fat ashley getting hoilett seem slim unfortunately :/

Agree0 Disagree0

So is Danny Simpson not english then..or did you just make an arse of yourself

Agree0 Disagree0

Nope... Replied to the post santon in for Simpson...

Agree0 Disagree0

English players are too expensive Re: Carroll, Henderson, Downing. If Blackburn go down id fancy Martin Olson (spelling) at left back

Agree0 Disagree0

, wot a crock of s**te wre signing nee one

Its in the sun today saying that andy carroll will return in january, i cant see this happening after only a year at liverpool and cant see dagleish selling him so quick after he paid so much for him. I do think we need a striker to come in january with demba ba going to the african cup as leon best cant lead the line for a month, i think we should go for gary hooper or billy sharp as they wont exactly break the bank to sign and then we can get a bigger name in the summer. I do think we desperately need a center back to join and I think this is where ashley needs to spend big to get a good defender so he should go for jan vertonghen who is a similar type of player to vermalen from arsenal. We also need to strengthen in the middle of the park and at left back. graham carr has been watching nice midfielder kafoumba coulibaly so expect a bid for him, then for full back I think will will tie up a deal for erik pieters as he came close to signing in the summer.

IN January:
Jan Vertonghen - £10m
Gary Hooper/Billy Sharp - £3m
Kafoumba Coulibaly - £5m
Erik Pieters - £6m
TOTAL - £24m

Believable7 Unbelievable26

Never going to happen ONE player will come in.

Agree0 Disagree0

AP has said we wont be signing a striker in january, and I'm certain they'll stick to that. Lovenkrands, the two Ameobi's and best will have to do for now, but if anything I'd love to see someone from the reserves or youth team be given a chance. JJ Hooper has been banging them in for two seasons now, so it'd be good to see him step up and see how he does.

And i know you said something along th lines of "to fill the gap until the summer" but that runs counter to how Ashley is running the club, he'll either buy someone now, or someone in summer, not both.

I also cant see the midfield being reinforced unless tiote leaves, which seems a bit less likely since he said he wants to stay (but didnt carroll say the same thing?). Peters and Vertonghen would be phenomenal signings though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see us splashing out even half of 24 million with only realistically 10-12 points needed to guarantee survival, especially with prices inflated in the window, we may bring in a ridgewell type player as a squad player, then wait and see who is available in the summer

not a bad post though, all realistic targets and good players

Agree0 Disagree0

Hooper has only been at the club since the Summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah probably not at this window but if we do push on for europe and qualify for the europa league i can see these players coming in aswell as an experienced striker

Agree0 Disagree0

Hooper is in his second season now

Agree0 Disagree0

Why not get nicky Maynard in from Bristol ,probs get him for 1.5 or 2m .As for pieters aint he got a broken foot at the mo, why would we buy another crock.

Agree0 Disagree0

Poor deluded sgb still thinking europe is a possibility 1 win against bottom club does not a burst bubble fix

Agree0 Disagree0

I can defo see Carroll coming back to the club in January....

If we draw Liverpool in the 4th round of The Cup.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doesnt say he will return in january! says Ap said he would have him back if he had a chance of getting him! then it compares stats for both clubs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hooper will cost double what you think. Mainly because celtic dont want or need to sell the player. Very similar situation to that of Jordan Rhodes. Price will be inflated becuase clubs want to discourage the sale of best players.

Jaiza

Agree0 Disagree0

Be surprised if fat ash spends any where near £2.4m never mind £24

Agree0 Disagree0

I reckon our best bet would be taking a punt on maynard, what do people reckon?

Agree0 Disagree0

Pards has said no to buying, but did not metion loan deals... get carol back on loan? maybe... rather see Defoe on loan or someone similar

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic will not sell Hooper to Newcastle unless he wants to go and they want to sell him. The fee would be £10M +, if Carroll was £35M.
The answer to both is NO.
Newcastle slagged off Celtic players earlier this season and they have a long memory.
Anyway, why would he want mid - table mediocrity when he can look back on a medal collection and fan adoration when / if he moves on.
He wouldn't get that at Newcastle.

Agree0 Disagree0

You lot come out with some crazy prices man. Rangers offered £3million for Jan Vertonghen and where told £3.5million. When they matched that price his club said they wanted £4million so Rangers said no. They want every penny so to offer £10million out-right is insanity and will not happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

P.S ur having a laugh right? Hooper for £3million :L naebother pal away and boil ur heed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mike ashley here : ya aint gettin a penny mwaHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Agree0 Disagree0

£3m is insanity for a player that cost celtic £2.4m a year ago, hes top goalscorer in league for past 2 season and the price would be closer to the £10m stated

Agree0 Disagree0

Newcastle will not spend 24m may spend 24 pound at best

Agree0 Disagree0

SPL is about the quality of league 1/league 2 so it will not be hard for hooper to finish top scorer

bognor regis striker jason prior has initally agreed to signed for blue square south team eastleigh for £12000, however newcastle have asked the stiker to go and train with them , stopping the deal to go ahead

Believable14 Unbelievable5

You never know, he might make the grade, but me thinks the difference in fitness between a pro and a part-timer might reflect badly on his ability.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes about your level ha ha ha

Agree0 Disagree0

Even though he is a cheap signing if we were to pick him up this is after AP said we definatley wont be signing a striker! he has since said he will never say never!

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Dec 2011 01:49:28
So Pardew has said today that "at the moment" there wont be any strikers coming in and that is primarily because the right player isnt available at the right price. I also think its to manage expectations to a degree. I still expect su to bring in 2, maybe 3, players and spend approx 10million this window.

Would love to see maynard at approx 2-3 million coming in.

Other than that Ridgewell could come in and either Pieters or Cissiko. Though I was hoping on the defender Mbiwa.

Believable2 Unbelievable6

Didn't leicester have a 6.5m bid for maynard turned down? think your wishful thinking, what part of parwho saying no striker coming in do you not understand, ashley wants his money back

Agree0 Disagree0

They need to sign a striker because when ba goes to the african games the three that are left, ameob best and the dutchman are not good enough. nc need a left and right back another centre half and a good striker so come on fat controller get your hand down and give perdew the money to get these player in.

Agree0 Disagree0

Leicesters 6.5 bid was back in the summer, his contract is up in summer 2012 and he wants to leave. Word here in Bristol is he'll go for 2.5 to 3m .Oh and the scum have defo enquired about him i understand.

Agree0 Disagree0

Leicester have inquired about him recentley too and had a proposed offer turned down but the media think he will move and the fee will be in the region of 3 million! pieters deal looks dead in the water due to his team having no cover in that position and cissoko is attracting bid interest from giants so his fee will be too much sadly

Agree0 Disagree0

What dutchman? would that be lovenkrands from Denmark your refering to?

We are set to give Jason Prior, a striker from Bognor Regis, a trial.

Ashley really is spoiling us with this one mind!

Believable9 Unbelievable0

Have none of you lads heard of alan shoulder

Agree0 Disagree0

Bognor Regis Town Fan here, Prior is a fantastic player and could do well at this level!

Agree0 Disagree0

Great to hear Bognor Regis fan, what would class as his best traits?

Agree0 Disagree0

Then why has no-one in the south looked at him? Because he is non-league standard maybe? ASHLEY OUT !!

Agree0 Disagree0

If he signs necastle get 4 caravans into the bargain for a season so if your lucky and ye season ticket comes out at the end of the season ye get a weeks free holiday in bognor regis more signings like this could be on the way

Agree0 Disagree0

You really couldn't make it up could you. Ithought i was reading the last of my xmas cracker jokes.:(

Agree0 Disagree0

Ian wright came from non league to palace before arsenal so shows players can do it and not be found as teens coming through teams acadamies

Les Ferdinand cost £15k
