Heard fron my marra in london that spurs could b willing to do a straight swap with defoe for ba,i told him he was talkin sh#t but rumours r that defoe has changed his mind about moving up here, hope its true coz defoe and cisse would be awesome

Believable5 Unbelievable12

Doubt thats true, but if it is f*ck that.
Would much rather have ba than defoe, Demba is far superior.

Defoe is 29 too old

newcastle still trying to wrap up a deal for jay rodriguez reported around 5.5m the price is a joke but thats whats been claimed, swansea are trying to buy him aswel. for those who disagreed about us trying for jay rodriguez musnt know a lot about our club.

Believable4 Unbelievable13

We mustnt no alot about our club because we know we wont pay over the odds for over rated english players?

Agree2 Disagree3

Exactly what I thought but it says it on newsnow :/ you musnt know your football at all

Agree1 Disagree1

Rumour has it Southampton have had a £7mill bid accepted

Agree3 Disagree0

Southmpton actually have put 7 mill in haha that person who reckons we wouldnt have paid 5.5 mil for him musnt notice a good player if it slapped him in face

Ed - Any thoughts on Lee Chung-Yong? Heard any rumours?

He was excellent for Bolton season before last and missed last season with a broken leg. He's only 24 and will be cheap due to Bolton being relegated.

Seems to fit our profile of quick, hard working, skillful, young and cheap.

DomW {Ed001's Note - I believe he has made it clear he is not going to leave this summer, unless the club ask him to go. So I doubt he would be all that cheap, they aren't in that much debt.}

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Hasn't he said hes undecided on his future? {Ed001's Note - not that I have heard of, only thing I have heard him say is how grateful he was for the way he was looked after during his injury.}

We should go for Giuseppe Rossi, he would be less expensive now Villarreal are relegated.

Believable3 Unbelievable9

Its a huge risk!

Agree5 Disagree2

What do to pay him for a full season when he is injured. Also we have had him wasn't any good in the prem

Agree2 Disagree2

Too injury prone

Agree2 Disagree2

Only problem is hes going to be injured nearly all season, cracking player when hes back fit, just whether theyd be willing to wait that long

Agree2 Disagree2

Injured til march or april

Agree3 Disagree1

Rossi is injured again for 8-9 months.

Agree4 Disagree1

Would be a great signing and would compliment the strengths of our other strikers. Not sure we could afford him though and is he actually up to the rigours of the premier league?

Agree0 Disagree5

Why buy an injured player he wasn't very good when we had him on loan in the first place

Agree2 Disagree2

We had him before on loan from man u and he wasn't good so I don't see why he would be any better now

Agree1 Disagree3

Good player but not strong enough for the Premier League.

DomW

Agree2 Disagree2

We had him 5/6 years ago. He has come on an unbelievable amount since them days

For me tranquillo barnetta is an average player who just has had a couple of good games for switzerland alltgough not bad for a free agent i would prefer hoilett who is also free

Believable11 Unbelievable0

You a comedian right! he is a bayern starting player week in week out... well when he isnt injured, he has quality in his final ball and has great strike of the ball he would be quailty for us, and if we want to develop as a team and push on further we need to look at fully rounded players as well as potential 1s, i say sell ba as the talks with him are dragging on and if he wanted to stay he would take the same money and remove the release clause and bring in them 2 with the money from that transfer

Agree4 Disagree2

Would take them both

Agree0 Disagree0

Why not get rid of the dead wood and sign them both? That would be more realistic thing wages of Alan smith would cover them both easily

Agree0 Disagree0

2nd poster guy, he played for Bayer Leverkusen, not bayern. I agree though, for a free he'd be a really decent signing.

Agree1 Disagree0

We dont need either of them we have too many wingers, ben arfa, gutteirez, marveaux, obertan, fergusen and ameobi.
We need players in centre midfeild and a good centre half

Agree2 Disagree1

Fed up of talk of wingers even if our crossing is rubbish ,its defenders we need and a backup /complimentary forward.

Agree2 Disagree0

Barnetta is quality! My Schalke supporting friend who lives in Germany has said Barnetta is a quality skillful player, said he would have him at Schalke.

Puts doubting his quality to bed. End.

Agree1 Disagree1

Yes telling us your mate watches German football puts all our minds at rest .... Thanks for that
