{Ed010's Note -Modern day football is littered, with players being snatched from under the noses of clubs, who thought that they were in pole position to secure the player's sevices. Usually, because their interest was "leaked", thus tipping off other clubs to that players availability.

I would be very surprised if there are any deals to be done tomorrow, for the names of the clubs and players to be revealed. Looks like we'll all have to wait until tomorrow on this one.

As a newcastle fan I like 2 think we hav the pull 2 get these players but cum on boys, there is over 40 players we r linked with and the only 1 that is looking likely is Darren partley, does that not tell u sumthing, it's time we looked at r club and reliese ashley aint guna put his hand in his pocket 4 big names, even if he did he won't pay over 50k a week, we r goin 2 end up with 5 or 6 more perch's

Ed 002, in response to "throwing up random names" that "you don't have time for" i brought up the Derdiyok / Ligue 1 Strikers of:

Youssef El Arabi - because he has been linked numerous times by the press and had a great season in for Caen.

Emmanuel Riviere - Plays for St. Etiene (we have obviosuly scouted this club) had a good year for a young player, rumours of gameiro replacement in lorient.

Park Chu Yuong - who is reported to leave monaco in the summer, Premier league clubs reportedly interested.

Each Player is in the transfer age requirements by the club and have future potential based on the past years performance.

Eren Derdiyok - is a Bayer Leverkusen striker a bit of reach on my part but worth the question, since he is supposedly being sought out by SEVILLA (who seem to be in for the same type striker transfer target as us, for example Gameiro).

Yohan Cabaye - was a question asked earlier for NUFC not liverpool.

I respect and appreciate what the eds do, i'm just trying to see if there is any interesting targets other than Gameiro, Gervinho, Charlie Adam, Nzogbia. (Those are targets than can be scouted from home) We surely must be in for other targets in the Ligue 1 / Bundesliga than those we are always linked with. That is the reason for the inquiries into these and other players like dimitri payet, ola toivonen and barnetta.

From my understanding usually being linked to players just means NUFC scouts were at the game and media is speculating on targets.

Been watching this site, and some of the rumours are just that! People just pulling names out of a hat, and the odd SMB posting on here, cause he's just that- a SMB! Going to be a major signing unveiled early next week, Wednesday at the latest, its not going to rock the football world, but, other prem clubs will be keeping an eye on our future signings when the window does open! I have also heard a little whisper about R. Wilkins joint our coaching staff, but personally don't think this will happen. Finally, can some of the people give the "ED" a break, he's tring his best to get us the answers were are asking him, So don't forget, next week some big news happening. EX TOON PLAYER. . .

One of the lads works at St James' and told me about the n'zogbia deal about 2 months ago, the figure I heard was £15m (believe it or not). It's a done deal and has been for months, trust me n'zogbia will be named a Newcastle player in the next couple of weeks
