The debuchy deal is not dead. Lille stated they will not let him go until they sign a replacement right back. They signed Djibril Sidibe today so expect debuchy to be arriving soon.

Chelsea want the spanish full back ( not even going to try and spell his name)

Not really sure why everyone suddenly seems to think that the Debuchy deal has fallen through. Lille said they wouldn't let him go until they found a replacement. They've just done that by signing Sidibe today.

Sometimes these things take time to sort out and this development only improves our chances.

We have allowed Chelsea back in and they have offered 8m & 60k a week
Disgrace we all but had this lad signed & if Enrique is worth 6.5m this boy is an Internatinal a great player and worth 8m and his first choice was NUFC.

How do you know Chelsea have offered that? It's all speculation, just wait and give the board a chance

Enrique was worth a lot more than what Liverpool paid, Enrique was coming to the end of his contract and would not sign so we had to sell him cheap or risk losing him for free. Estimates put Enrique around the £15 Million and above mark. You do not hear Liverpool fans adding that coup into their crying about Carrolls price.

Spot on mate ,they seem to forget that.

Ed have you anything about this Remy deal? Also has the Debuchy deal fallen through? {Ed040's Note - Loic remy has only just been linked with us, I have not heard anything about the debuchy deal.

Both deals are off Llambias negotiation is a joke

There will be no progress as regards to a new striker until after ba's release clause can no longer be activated. Debuchy deal is still on although newcastle wont budge on their final offer and are waiting for debuchy to hand in an offical transfer request to push through the deal, hopefully it will be finalised by the end of next week

Another story from Russia that Ba will attract a bid of £7 million, to trigger the release clause.

The £7 million bid is a package of £1 million first and the rest payable over 18 months - this is a normal bid construct anyway.

Apparently, Ba's agent has indicated that Ba wants to stay in the Premiership

Well that's boll**ks we would only get 3.5 million for Ba and the rest would be due to him and his representatives. club already dismissed the claims

Ed, can you shed any light?
1) what's the actual release figure? Pardew hinted that it is not £7m
2) it's been said, such a deal would cost £20 including wages & insurance. is insurance that high? or ar his wage demands sky high?
3) Is Ba entitled to any part of the fee? {Ed001's Note - 1) No one knows, the 7m figure is pure guesswork. I would guess it was below 10m though.
2) bit of both, the insurance costs are higher due to his knees, plus signing fee, agent's fees and wages.
3) Players, unless they hand in a written transfer request, are always entitled to have a percentage of their remaining contract with the club paid up.}
